We suppose to get listed on Cryptsy or Mintpal. Nobody knows Solarcoin because it's not on major exchanges. We are on Poloniex, but why on LTC market?

Hi Everyone,

Some exciting things are happening with SolarCoin. I'm an active volunteer for the SolarCoin Foundation and I want to share with you all that the team has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes and things are moving forward on several fronts. Legal incorporation of the Foundation and transparent disclosure of security policies for the §98 billion Generator Pool, §400 million Charitable Trust and §100 million Operations Trust are among the most immediate priorities. We chose an awesome and very marketable symbol for our currency: §. We are working on promotional materials such as slideshow presentations and bumper stickers. We will try to get listed on MintPal and/or Cryptsy (see this post in the SolarCoin forum for thoughts on that).

During periods when the price is stagnant or going down, it can be frustrating for investors and supporters of a coin, especially if they don't know whether progress is being made to achieve goals and priorities. Let me assure you that the SolarCoin team is working hard and making progress. Volunteers for the Foundation read all the various forums and listen and think seriously about everyone's ideas and concerns.

Although §SLR has not yet received much attention in the cryptocurrency community, it has received more attention than 99% of other cryptocurrencies in the real world media -- and the reason is, we've got a great team, a great purpose and a great plan for making SolarCoin succeed as a long-term challenger to Bitcoin.

SolarCoin: the sleeper coin of 2014. To the Sun!  Grin

Freebird

Thank you! I believe that if this coin is discovered it will move to 20-30 cents in 1 hour. I am adding/mining every day. Very tight supply of coins for sale and any interest will skyrocket the price.

The ground work is being laid. The concrete is being poured. Every day that goes by this project gets more interesting.

I've been casting votes on MintPal whenever I get a chance. I would urge all of you to begin doing that in earnest! It's time we got more exposure.  Grin

We were at 14th place a month ago, now down to 24th spot. Let's try to get back up in the rankings!

FYI, CleanWaterCoin has asked MintPal not to add them until they get their wallet problems under control... It was posted in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=526513.msg6543709#msg6543709

I've been watching to see how they make out with this. Seems their wallet keeps forking or something... not sure what's up. Just throwing it out there for interests sake!

We should try and keep this board busy every time someone post here it puts on the front bottom page of bitcoin talk so we can get the word out.

What about the 1440 Block Difficulty Adjustment? Any plans to change that?

This is ridiculous, once a multipool hit this coin it will be stuck in high diff forever.

I want to say I read something about the devs interest in kimoto. There's a lot of activity going on behind the scenes it seems. They're pretty responsive to issues when they arise. The difficulty issue just hasn't been one yet I guess.

I'm still mining happily with only 1.5 mh/s even with the diff around 4~5.

I can tell you I won't be selling you any of mine Cheesy but give it a few days and some miner will come along and do a big dump. You'll get filled. The bids will then fill up again. The price has been extraordinarily stable considering we aren't even on a big exchange yet. When we do get on an exchange like Cryptsy or MintPal, the supply won't change much but the demand will go up just by being listed. And that means one thing, the price will go up.

I know that I have no intention of selling any of my holdings until it reaches $1 and even then, I'll only sell enough to pay off some debts. I intend to hold the majority for the next 4-5 years and see this project through as it makes the transition to full-on grant stage. I will also use some for transaction purposes as more places become willing to accept them for payment.

If this project doesn't work, then none of it will matter because we'll end up living on a planet in 25-40 years that likely won't be worth living on anyway. The climate is passing the event horizon right now towards runaway global warming. We have to do something very, very soon to salvage it. Solar everywhere within 5 years is the only solution that is affordable and CAN be achieved. But governments and Oil & Gas have their heads shoved so far up each others asses that it won't happen if they have any say in the matter. The only way this can happen is if the people do it themselves. And they won't do it unless there is some financial incentive because that is just how people are in today's day and age. Even the minority few who buy into the climate hoax bullshit would get solar panels if they thought there was a buck in it for them.

This can work but it will only happen if we put sweat into the game. It's that important.

We need volunteers, we need exposure, we need on a bigger exchange in the short term, we need to spread the word.

Call me a raving climate lunatic all you want but I can guarantee you one thing, Mother Earth doesn't give a flying fuck about humans. And Mother Earth is approaching a singularity of her own and she's pointing that clathrate gun right at our heads and most people are so caught up in frivolous distractions that they'd rather believe a lie than face an inconvenient truth.

My apologies if I've offended anyone with my potty mouth. However, if I've offended someone because they think climate change is a "hoax" perpetrated by Al Gore, please say so publically so I can add you to my ignore list.

That is all.  Smiley

I have to go the vote route, I don't have two bitcoins to rub together. LOL

I see BeeCoin blew past us today... WTF?  Huh Before bed last night, we had 25,997 votes. Almost 24 hours later we have 26,040. We got 43 votes in a day and 10 of them are mine.  Cry

Sigh... Someone please tell me I have those numbers wrong.

Your numbers are right. People see huge premine and blow right past. Few bother to look at the board of directors and the volunteers that are coming into the project. These aren't people living in their grandmothers attic.

Go ahead, keep on ignoring Solarcoin. I need to build up my stash. Wink

There is that... I am also trying to grow my position, so it is nice from that perspective. Most of my friends, co-workers and relatives have small positions as well and this lack of exposure has given me time to help them with their purchases. I'm like a small time SolarCoin broker who doesn't charge a fee. Smiley

One thing you can say about Solarcoin is that we are becoming recognized through the media.  Unfortunately we are not being recognized through the cryptoworld and becoming popular, for now.  This will all eventually turn around and EXPLODE as the Solarcoin initiative takes off.

Most coins do it the opposite way...  Get popular through the cryptoworld, then the media.  EX. Dogecoin...  We're just doing it the other way around.  Patience will pay off in the end!!!
