You do realize that if we are following this path that we are in the "first selloff" phase Well I certainly hope so.. But looking at MINT.. my hopes are not high (not that it matters.. slow growth over 2 years is fine for me)

Support at 20000 not bad for a few days gain. Also number of wallets with over 10 coins has jumped More people, more wealth, almost time to buy back in
about 16000 wallets with BC in them We need way WAY more than that.. Multipools are nice way to get more coins to people though.

@IconicExpert@TokTokSoep : what i'dd like to know is; - what are the Scrypt and Sha coins we mine in the blackcoinpool, - what is daily income from above, and how many bc's are bought using that at what prices? Let's see some accounting !? (just curious, and what's wrong with openness? Iconic e isnt part of the dev team and thats Soepkip's dept which honestly should be kept quiet. Thanks for pointing that out. I edited my post, code named him too. (but let's not tell anyone)

Now if other people would would just put their money where their mouth is and put up some buy walls in the low 20s rather than just buying we can get some much needed stability and stop this fluctuation instead of just eating scared little fishes. on the other hand there is more money to be made with high fluctuation... on the other other hand, I could get more sleep if there were more hands on the table. bah either way I am adding buy support atm will be happy if you sell into it, and will be happy if you cause another bubble.
cheers and good night

I still remember reading the OP in this thread a few days before launch (while looking for something to mine and dump, of course)... I read it, it seemed interesting - but not fantastic - but I figured "black is my favorite color... there's worse ways to pick a coin to mine right now" and went on my way. I was working and finally began to comprehend what I had read since it was running around in the back of my mind with all the other garbage that's in there. Very short PoW period for mintage and distribution only... then 100% PoS. So all of the upside to coins like PPC, NXT, MINT (I was currently mining this as it was), etc. - but none of the downside to either. PPC being pure PoW for way too long IMO and MINT for too many coins and too much inflation. And NXT... there's just not much right with it actually - other than as a concept.Near perfect mintage amount - IMO at least. Obviously this is subjective but to me a successful coin should have enough that at it's 'apex' of popularity it should roughly have parity with the USD or EUR - as it will then be most easily 'digestable' to those respective markets as a currency and not as a speculation instrument only. Buying things for $5 with 4-5 coins is easier for both consumers and vendors to understand than buying them with 4-5 one-thousandths of one coin. Regardless of their mathematical equivalency.Super fast transaction speeds that don't break the coin. It goes without saying that BTC and for that matter even the fastest PoW coins aren't fast enough. However, the closer they get to fast enough, the more likely they will have blockchain security issues. PoS didn't seem to have these limitations as there wasn't complex 'work' to solve and all participants were, presumably at least, invested in supporting the coin rather than just raping it and moving on (because that's what 99% of us as miners do... I will be first to admit). At the same time staking didn't require leaving your wallet open for weeks at a time just to get started.Simple algo for PoW. Since the PoW phase was basically just to secure the distribution/mintage phase only and not support the coin long term - scrypt was a good choice. This was at a time when everyone was pushing an alternative algo as being the 'savior of PoW'. However, every one of those coins had horrible launches due to no one understanding how to configure their miners, how to solo-mine the coin, some had virus-laden mining software scams, etc... but scrypt was aready mining a hundred coins without too much confusion. So while it wasn't perfect - it was damn close.0% premine, higher (than many at least) initial difficulty, 1 block retargeting, 1 minute blocks... rat4 was obviously thinking similarly when he mapped out what the 'next big coin' should look like! Nothing has changed about BlackCoin... just what people are willing to exchange for one - but that changes every day with all currency (even fiat).

Exactly and I don't see LTC having any advantages over BC. That's why I'm not selling until we are at least equal to LTC market cap.

OK.. threw a little one (15BTC) up on the 27K point. I'll take it either way - filled or supporting. EDIT: I forgot I needed a little - so it's 'only' ~14.25 now.

Bitclone err Blackcoin brought nothing new, ripped off PoS and was a reskin of the Bitcoin wallet.

Awesome - All we need is for someone to erect a buy wall and keep it there - to omany are removed - if it just sits there not only will it not get filled but the price will constantly push up. The panic only occurs when people see it disappear. I would join in but I am stupidly all in on BC already haha

It's about merchant adoption and network effect. Bitcoin was the first and all other cryptos are more or less tied to it as of now. But that doesn't mean nothing better than Bitcoin is possible. 30 minutes confirmation times are awful and impractical. Also, everything is built onto products and concepts before it.
