Did anyone get a suspicious email with a docx attachment shortly after sending an email to btc-arbs?

I don't believe any of it, other than the admin being a frightened new admin to the industry I imagine. This will be interesting to watch.
So you have changed your tune. This site is a HYIP, run by a known repeat admin, nothing more. Don't waste your time discussing the possible legitimacy of the program. The admin is simply looking to take advantage of a new HYIP community in the bitcoin world which has already been done successfully by some scammy admin types like the former Leancy.com
Btc-arbs is nothing but the same, play it as an HYIP and get your money out while you can as its highly unlikely to become one of the better HYIP's.
I guess the admin hasn't been the only one lying.  At least you were correct about btc-arbs shutting down before long. |

Still no sign of any repayment.
I'd really like to know what the former admin's plan of attack for repayment is going to be. So far, all we have is a post trying to calm the natives and there's been no action taken yet to make anyone whole, apparently.

Don't know if anyone mentioned this, but the whois on btc-arbs.com has changed from being protected by WhoisGuard to the actual registrant's name who appears to be from Hong Kong. You can check it out at whois.domaintools.com/btc-arbs.com

Yep, could be fake or carded, but with everyone's input here it seems there are a couple of leads that indicate Hong Kong having a good chance of being the actual location of the admin. - Whois details of BTC-arbs.com indicate the registrant being a woman from HK
- Someone earlier mentioned that they transferred fiat to 1 bank account in Hong Kong
- When BTC-ARBS posted here, he mentioned that his daughter was phoned and harassed (and ironically the site's registrant is someone named Jennifer Hungshi i.e. possibly the telephone no. from the whois was used?)
- Lastly (and not so important) the site was hosted in Malaysia which could be a non-factor however gives credence to the theory that they could be from Asia.
Just my 2 cents.

Not I. Nope I've gotten abosolutely no response back...not even an acknowledgment that my info was recieved and that I've been added to whatever ledger he's using to keep track of things. |

I think you guys misunderstand...he will eventually pay back the BTC he scammed, but my guess is he doesn't have enough to make payments...so if you read his note he seems to allude to doing more abitrage transactions first with the BTC he still does have and then use the proceeds from that for payments. Or did I completely just read it wrong?? |

The problem is that the arbitrage possibilities using the exchanges he quotes involve making transfers in fiat for repeated buy/sells. The ~2% arbitrage he quoted cannot be performed on all funds on a daily basis, it would be spread out over several days. It's not possible to provide the returns he posted on btc-arbs unless he is using other mechanisms than the btc-e/bitstamp arbitrage route, such as a ponzi. At the moment, I think the easiest money to make is to hold a short position in dogecoin.
