Big thanks to the person who set up the spreadsheet. Great idea.

Still waiting on a return here.

PSA: scrypt.cc is a scam, most likely of the "ponzi" variety. You will lose your money if you try to "invest" or "play" or whatever you want to call your participation in this shitshow. You've been warned.

Went on a job on Friday. Got home on Sunday to find my flatmate really upset because his gear was missing and he blamed me for not locking the door, also a lot of money was missing from my drawer. Turns out he orchestrated the whole thing to justify a burglary and steal the money from my drawer. Decided not to press charges because he has a kid to raise and I felt that him in jail would ruin the kid's life. I told him that if he would give me my money back (along with the other money he owed me) and came clean to what he did I wouldn't press charges and as long as he left the flat (the kid is living with his mother) we would be square. He left the flat imediatly and has since denied that he stole anything even tough I have pretty good evidence of the orchestration ( there wasn't anything else missing from my room nor his... and his confession to my face when confronted) I have since decided to press charges with the police and bring this guy to justice. I'm telling you guys this because you shouldn't be afraid of calling someone out when you are being robbed. I lost 0.73BTC on BTC-ARBS and I'm hellbent on filing all sorts of complaints if I don't get my BTC back. This is my refund adress 1BWNoeF44StCPhsV9njndkAL31Gw5VrHpP
I hope this goes north rather then south.

You're fortunate in that you don't have a large outstanding debt to be repaid. He'll probably get you taken care of pretty quickly. Just make sure he can check your username against the BTC-Arbs database.

I have been following this thread off and on since btc-arb went south. Just checked in (after the weekend) to see if anything new was up. Low and behold there was. I sent btc-arb an email and PM just now...and added my name to the list on the spreadsheet. Hope this works out. Would like to get my BTC back!

That's what everyone that had coins in there would like. Thankfully I didn't have any. Someone posted here under the name "btc-arbs" and he seems to be refounding some people. We created this spreadsheet to keep track of the refounds, but until now this person seems to only have refounded the deposited amounts of small investors. And this makes me sceptical. All you can do is wait with the hope that he's not lying and will indeed refound you as promised. I'm really sceptical about this whole situation but still, you've got all my wishes for good luck with this.

I think the one(s) who found him won't tell you how. since one of them tracked and contacted his family.

It seems to me that the people with the lease amounts (0.1- BTC) are being paid out first so he can pay off as many people with the least amount of BTC.
I think that the admin should AT LEAST payout every day the profit he made.

If he has 500BTC from us, with the profit of 1% a day, that's 5BTC, he could AT LEAST pay out that amount of 5BTC

@Hongo & yonce, could you please update your amounts?

ok but there is no true evidence that someone has found him? Only this statement about the repay and few guys claiming that they got repaid?

so all of this could be a big bluff?

Judging by his post yesterday, he seems to be opting to try and pay people back in full (except the larger debts, of course) and narrow down the number of people he has left to pay. That's probably the smartest way to do it. Fewer messages to have to field.

He doesn't have a posting record on the forum and so it creates a long wait period between messages he sends, I believe. So just sit tight, make sure your name is on the spreadsheet and you've sent him a P.M. with your username from the BTC-Arbs site and how much principal investment you're owed (not including interest).

As for it being a "bluff" that people have tracked him down - it's not. He admitted that someone threatened his daughter and I've got it on good authority via private message that the information is available, if he should renege on his agreement to repay the debts. In discussing it with him in private messages, I believe he intends to repay the debts.

Many people are creating new accounts to post in this thread. I'm not sure of what's happening. The only one that can confirm if those are real is someone with access to the old website's logs. Most likely this btc-arbs guy that appeared here.

The BTC arbs admin posted the site had about 1000 users. We do not yet have 1000 users listed.

Regarding to the 'veru' entry on the spreadsheet, it surely is possible that:
- Some users have different usernames for bitcointalk and btc-arbs
- He doesn't have an bitcointalk forum account, I myself did also sign up recently for this forum too to post on this topic and to PM the admin

Edit: Added user Tschai to the list who claims to have received a fair amount of his 1 BTC back (minus transfer fees)

BTC ARBs... my turn now - I want the 0.1 left in my account - i tried to withdraw it - nothing. I also want the 0.5 deposit that was never acknowledged.

I have so far had 0.4 returned from my original 0.5 deposit. The later 0.5 was never acknowledged.

i do not understand. If this is all true, and the BTC-Arbs guy is not a fake guy, why does he need everyone to write him a message and claim for their bitcoins?

Dont he have his own history, where he can see which acc had how many bitcoins deposited?

why cant he send everyone an e-mail, to the email acc you had to register with and tell them that they can contact him for repay? Why publish this message here?

And why should he repay the small debts first? I think the bigger ones are the real danger! Seriously, who would threat his family for 500 $??? -right, no one would get his hands dirty for 1-2 bitcoins, but for more.

So i dont see an solution by repaying all the small debts, he will still be in danger.

So all this must be a huge fake. Maybe by someone who tries to find out how many bitcoins were invested...

Each day you guys are not investigating because you are trusting someone in here who claims he will repay but do not give you a true evidence, is a wasted day. Each day is blurring even more the traces...

I thought about it, but then again he might just be paying of the people that care enough to track him down.   It is also possible there is a lot more to the story.

For me it's not only about the money (I had 0.58 BTC invested) but also the fact that we are lied to over and over. I am willing to do everything in my power to get my money back as it belongs to me, and not to him!

New page, spreadsheet link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lSUi0_1bqe0sv5XI4EvXWPcWI7fwnJbFQY-kMsYxp10

I'm edditing the dates/times right now, if the people who got refunded could add the date and time of when they sent their messages that would be really helpfull and give us some insight!

Edit: Request for the format fix (thai bat, instead of dates) and sum are done, look for row #100

btc-arbs Administrator  Could you tell my why you can't just Reopen the site if it is your intention to repay us.
Reopening the site would sure give your credibility a boost.
