It might be nice if there was a way to remove a namecoin address so that we can disable any namecoin section. I don't intend to bother in future but have done before. I tried to just change address with blank but that was invalid. Maybe something like entering a "." (dot) could be a trigger to remove it. Or a remove/disable button on the change address page that pops up.

Since we are throwing ideas out there, maybe make an Account Settings section on the left and put all that static stuff that never changes in the middle Account Summary. (username, email, wallets, api, etc) This would free up more real estate for stuff like Rewards Summary and Worker Summary.

Then maybe under the new Account Settings you could have a toggle for what you want displayed in the middle. For example, you could have Rewards Summary, Worker Summary, and PPLNS Shift History maybe showing a condensed last 15 with option to expand. Toggle off Namecoin, or toggle on PPS, etc.

Being able to see the stats that are important to you and your workers on one page would sure be nice, especially if your accessing the site from a tablet or phone. I always find myself having to zoom in to hit the links on the left. (I know, first world problems, right...)  Wink

Yeah, I'm getting ready to make some more changes to the main pages.  A settings page where you can enable/disable things like NMC and PPLNS are on the list.  Everything fit quite well before with BTC/NMC (nice and symmetrical), but adding an alternative payment system definitely made it feel a bit more cluttered.

You are good at web design eleuthria. Just the right amount of information in a clear format.

How long does PPLNS need to "charge up".  I've been running about half a day and have only earned .01.

Thanks Smiley.  I always try to squeeze information down to the most concise form without actually leaving something out.

As for "charging up" on PPLNS, the current settings mean your shares gradually receive BTC earnings for approximately 10 hours after the shift ended (which takes about 1 hour if you started at the very beginning of an active shift).

This means when you first switch to PPLNS, you will have deflated earnings for the first ~10 hours [not factoring in variance].  On the other end of that, if you turned off your miners or switched back to PPS, you'd still continue receiving PPLNS payments for approximately 10 hours, so it evens out in the end.

All my Stratum workers stopped mining at 11:03EST. Mergedmining server is also having problems. Any ideas?

Only miners pointed to "btcguild.com:8332" continued working.

PPLNS still working great so far, but one bug is currently present.  The "24 Hour Earnings" statistic currently assumes you are running PPS.  So if you're running PPLNS, this statistic still shows up, but it is giving you the value as if you had been on PPS.  Trying to figure out a way to fix this statistic without breaking it at this time.

After that, I'll begin adding some PPLNS statistics to the API calls.

It would cool if you could put the PPLNS stats where the Namecoin stuff is taking up real estate. Maybe move NMC off to it's own section for those that still need it.

Thanks again and great work on the pool.  Cool

+1     i have toggled half my rigs pplns.. Roll Eyes   keep  up doing the good work.. Wink

Only miners pointed to "btcguild.com:8332" continued working.

The servers in Germany and Dallas are both being heavily affected by a DDoS.  The server in Chicago seem to be handling it much better.  Chicago does have Stratum by the way.  If your miner natively supports stratum, pointing it at btcguild.com:8332 will redirect to Stratum..

The 24 hour earnings stat will be back in approximately 24 hours.  I had to do a reset to the speed history on workers, since the way the 24 Hour Earnings/Worker Speed charts are generated use the same data table.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hopefully later today will also see a update to the 'My Account' page.  I'll be moving most of the static information (Email, API, Wallets) to a Settings Page, and enabling toggles for NMC rewards/PPLNS rewards.

Looks like one of the hard drives is dead/dying on the server that houses the website.  Working on migrating the web server ASAP.  One mining server was also housed on that physical box.  All DNS entries have been moved from that mining server, so miners should be redirected shortly.

and for those who may not know with windows machines you will want to flush your dns cache.

"ipconfig /flushdns"

linux/unix are not effected as far as I know they don't cache DNS.

MacOS - unkown.

First "big" change to the website layout in quite some time.

My Account has now been split into two pages.  Account Summary, which replaces the previous My Account page, will show you a summary of your earnings and your worker statistics.  This is the page you can request manual payouts from, and is effectively the only page most users will bother looking at regularly.

The information that used to be at the top of 'My Account' has been moved to Account Settings.  This is the page where you can change your wallets, auto payout settings, email address, etc.

There are also two new options:  PPLNS Display and NMC Display, which allow you to hide/show these stats on your Account Summary.  If PPLNS is displayed, you will get the Side-by-Side Bitcoin Rewards Summary, where the left is an overall account summary, and the right is PPLNS specific details.  If PPLNS is disabled but NMC is enabled, you will see the old layout where BTC and NMC are side-by-side.  If PPLNS and NMC are enabled, it will be separated into a Bitcoin and Namecoin section.

The 24 hour earnings statistic will be back tomorrow.  I had to reset a few things on the database to make it calculate properly between PPS/PPLNS.  Additionally, judging PPLNS off a 1-day trial would not be advised.  PPLNS is subject to pool variance.  In a 24 hour period, that can be a significant difference from PPS, either above or below.  It can even vary above/below PPS over the course of a week, or a month, depending on luck.  Over a long enough period of time, the variance narrows down, and eventually you reach the point where you're almost guaranteed to have made more on PPLNS.

DE server is still down, all the DNS entries were moved to Chicago.  At this time I don't think it will be back for another week or two.  The host is not being helpful at all so far.
