For solo mining via the Mac wallet to I just hit "Start Mining"? Do I need to fill in any of the "Server", "Port" etc fields?
The server and port fields are for if you want to mine to a pool with the wallet. Shouldn't need them to solo mine with the CPU.

OK did some reading, got a copy of minerd and placed it in the /usr/bin folder. Got this output: minerd -a neoscrypt -s 1 -o stratum+tcp://cryptopool.nl:3337 -O usr password -t 8 -r -1 -P Miner started. You might not see any output for a few minutes. dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libidn.11.dylib Reference from: .usr/bin/minerd Reason: image not found Miner exited. --EDIT Got a new version of minerd, now I get the error"miner unknown algorithm"..

What version is the wallet? It needs to be 1.1.0.0, and I'm not sure if the mac wallet was tested, or even if it was updated as I have no mac to test it with.

Just some updates for everyone.. #1 - The updated wallet with QR codes and repaired GPU mining ability is moving forward, and the timeframe of August or September release is still valid. Also, adding an android wallet with QR codes has been moved up in priority over the other wallet add-ons as a secondary release. #2 - The shooting event sponsored by Guncoin that was planned for the same time frame has been postponed. My buddy who was hosting the event ran into property issues, as the guy he was purchasing his property from failed to make payments on the mortgage and the property is being foreclosed on this week. This makes the rent-to-own contract that he had with the current owner null-&-void, and he is being forced to vacate the property. This means that he has to move his family, his construction business, and the powersports shop that he and I co-own, to a new location that he is searching for now. The event will still happen, but not when it was originally planned. I'll post a new date when the dust starts to settle. So, some good news, some not so good. In the mean time, the goal has not wavered. We are working at positioning Guncoin to be what it was meant for, and don't plan on giving up!!

The wallet with built in GPU mining ability sounds great , I don't think I have ever seen a wallet with that built in.

Not "built in" GPU mining.. The current release, if you try to solo mine to the wallet with a CPU works. But if you point GPU's at it, they get 100% rejected blocks.

Which one looks better? I prefer this one as it is simpler and probably simpler to produce. Do not forget that I have a few hundred 3" Guncoin patches of the iron on variety......

Anyone else get a notice of a post deleted by moderators? I had one that was on-topic get deleted from this thread, and figure that it had to be random... See below. A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted. And I mined another block last night, using a hotel's free wifi, while I was on vacation out of town.
Awesome!!

Just recently pointed a GPU over that direction. Thanks, thought it would be fun to mine for a while. That was in regard to Coincave for mining. Kinda messed up the original quote/post. http://coincave.eu

Awesome!! Let's see if I can reply this time with the appropriate quote. Your post seemed quite on topic.
