Looks like the SSL certificate for the official pool has expired. Can someone look into this?
Since I work in the Internet security field, I'm always leery of logging into sites with invalid or expired certificates, even more so when it comes to cryptocurrency.
We will look in to it.....

In addition to the ongoing voting with SouthXchange.com, we are working on another exchange or two as well. All cost money of course, but we hope to get them going ASAP until Cryptopia is back trading again. So as a result, our Masternode project is going to be delayed a little. We need to get established on one or more exchanges first, before these can be properly planned and implemented - the sooner the better of course.

I am looking forward to the masternode project progressing, and getting on a few more exchanges too. All of this activity while wading through the issues at hand just shows how tenacious GUN is and will be. BTW, I did match votes, and then topped if off a little towards our SouthXchange listing. https://www.southxchange.com/Home/VotePlease remember that I will value GUN at 20 sats that are sent to this address: H2uxjWAk42egJVuSjEqmArs2vQpZivPd27 and then MATCH that also.....placing a value of GUN at 40 sats for voting purposes. We haven't seen GUN at 40 sats in a while, but here it is!

Let's get listed on this one too: https://txbit.io/?r=c5b(ref link.) It's fast and new.

But definitely NOT free or even cheap. These all cost money to get listed and have volume requirements. And honestly we do not need to be on 10 exchanges, we cannot support that volume yet. We will consider it amongst the others. We do have another exchange that we already have an agreement with and they are running GUN wallets, but have not listed us until we pay. It is a good solid exchange that we like, but they do not accept USA clients - which is a problem for 45% of our user base. So we do not want this to be the next new exchange that we add. Once we get listed with SOuthXchange, which accepts all clients, we will add another one - hopefully by then Crypopia will be moving again.

I support the idea to bring Guncoin to txbit.io exchange. That one is a good one, despite of its young history.

I support the idea to bring Guncoin to txbit.io exchange. That one is a good one, despite of its young history. It's based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and has no KYC/AML requirements. Also was a project of Solaris, which I happened to escrow the dev fund for the entire year, last year 2018 (and 2017.)

I support the idea to bring Guncoin to txbit.io exchange. That one is a good one, despite of its young history. I never said it was not a good exchange - there are lots of good exchanges. Right now, our efforts are focused on 2-3 other exchanges. Spending any time or money on another only dilutes are chances and will spread our trading volume too thin on the others. If someone wants to sign us up and pay for it - go for it. For now, we are staying on our current path and not going off on a tangent.

Guncoin is now less than 90 votes away from the amount needed to get listed on the SouthXchange.com Trade Exchange - We appreciate your support to this point and hope we get a few more by tomorrow and can be listed there later this week if we can hold the number one position for a few more days.

Contributed a little last week. I'll do a little more. Looking forward to this!

Are there any WordPress/WooCommerce plugins that work with Guncoin? I work with a small firearm parts manufacturer, and with various problems we've had in the past with Amazon Payments, etc, I'd love to add the ability to accept Guncoin payments in the future.

There are none that are unique to Guncoin. There are several generic ones for bitcoin - which a smart programmer could easily adapt for GUN since it uses the bitcoin core as its backbone. SOmething more customized like that is on our to do list. However, getting us going on one or more exchanges asap and establishing a stable price is the #1 priority right now. We are planning the next set of upgrades as well - after that some of these extra features become more valuable and higher priority.

Known it. I hope that Solaris team will make their promotions this year, and hope that I might have chances to work with you, Dabs. It's based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and has no KYC/AML requirements. Also was a project of Solaris, which I happened to escrow the dev fund for the entire year, last year 2018 (and 2017.)

Contributed a little last week. I'll do a little more. Looking forward to this! Somebody dropped some additional BTC onto the "coin" that was in second place. It "smells" funny. I believe that we should hold off for a little bit and not get into a bidding war, wait, and see what happens.

Yes, for many of you, your prayers are being answered and GUN will implement Masternodes over the next few months. We do not have all the details yet and some options are still being debated by the team. But in general for the time being GUN will remain a PoW coin and just add on Masternodes to help with transaction speeds and few other things that they are useful for. As of today, we are thinking of a required masternode reserve amount to be in the 100K - 200K GUN range. As far as the split goes (miner / masternode / upgrade funding), we are thinking in the neighborhood of 55%/40%/5% at this time. Why 5% for funding upgrades? Simple, no one has been paying for anything for the past 5 years except 2-3 of the team members. That cannot go on forever and we need to plan long range for GUN to be successful and have a source of revenue to pay for things that makes GUN the strongest coin possible for our user community. This will allow us to be able to self fund any new features and not have to sit and wait for donations or our mining pool to generate enough fees.
Of course, this will be another hard fork that we anticipate being ready in mid to late March 2019. While there are no functional exchanges for GUN today, we anticipate listing on SOuthxchange in the next week or two and have hopes that Cryptopia will be available soon as well. Additionally, we continue to work with 2- 3 other exchanges to get GUN listed there. So the GUN future is very bright we think and we are looking forward to a very good year in 2019 and beyond for GUN.

My suggestions are: 100k GUN collateral per masternode, maybe 75% / 20% / 5% split. In other coins I have seen it remain something like 65% / 35% and the 10% superblock (or governance funding) just happens once a month, on top of the split. So in this case, I really mean 75% / 25% and 5% equivalent in the superblock. Please make sure with your coin dev, and if you need some help, I can try to get some masternode coin devs to look into GUN.
I'm not sure if it will have to be a hard fork or completely new chain, because when XLR switched algorithms and added masternodes, it was a new chain and a swap was implemented. Perhaps an "in-place" swap if ever that is needed, which means using a snapshot and the same private keys and addresses for the new chain.
But if it's just a hard fork, that will work better. You need to announce several weeks in advance when the date or future block is, or as some coins do it, they use a spork to activate the fork after majority have upgraded, sort of like a 2 step process.

For starters, all of our releases, especially with forks in them are announced well in advance. Additionally, all hard forks are typically scheduled to occur several weeks after we publically release them to give everyone time to switch over.
As for the masternode discussions, we appreciate the inputs - always looking for more. Not sure that more masternodes is a good thing at this point or we want to decrease their share that much since they are running the nodes on the network. That being said, our priority now is to get GUN trading on one or more exchanges. While we did not get picked on SouthXchange yesterday (got sniped at the last minute), we still meet all the requirements to get picked next week. A few more votes would help ensure we get picked there. Additionally, we are in discussions with 2 other exchanges to trade GUN. So once we are trading actively again, we will go full speed on masternodes for GUN - right now, we are still in the planning stages.
