Could someone help me? I sent 5500 to CryptoAltex a week or so ago. It STILL says pending on their site. Here is the transacation information:

Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 3/27/2014 10:35
To: cryptoaltex 8cnrKg6FHrA8FwhmgGCw4tviodBFDFGgsB
Debit: -5500.00 888
Transaction fee: -1.48 888
Net amount: -5501.48 888
Transaction ID: 2b4eb5440291e05c4b3f539bdc0a667de145544c0efb7ea9a56f57b6cc46b1b1

They told me this:
 "Hi J,

The blockchain is not showing the transaction any longer and the coins are not confirmed in our wallet.

http://explorer.octocoin.org/search?q=2b4eb5440291e05c4b3f539bdc0a667de145544c0efb7ea9a56f57b6cc46b1b1

You can also look up the address and you'll notice the send isn't' there for those coins.  This is the 2nd time this has happened with OCTOCoin, I believe they have a bug somewhere, you may want to ask in the forums.  I'll keep an eye on it as well, but there is nothing we can do until the coins get confirmations.  They are in your pending because we saw them hit the network, when we see the we add them to pending, when we see confirmations they move to your balance, in this case the transaction disappeared and therefore cannot be credited.

Thanks,

Chiznitz
"

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Sad

You have to export the Private Keys of your Address into a new wallet. This way the unconfirmed transaction goes away and you can resend your coins.

1.) getaddressesbyaccount "" will give you all Adresses in use for the Wallet

2.) for all these Addresses do a dumpprivkey <address> and save the Strings into a text file.

3.) Then Setup a new Wallet either on a different PC or by moving the old Data Directory on another place. If you want to delete all Data make a copy of your old wallet.dat in case something goes wrong.

4.) With the fresh synced Wallet do a importprivkey <address>

After doing this your Balance should be updated and you can resend your coins.
Maybe try to send bigger amounts in multiple batches. I had the problem mutliple times already and sending smaller batches seems to fix it for me.

It shows nothing (I do have 283 octo in my wallet, so it's not a corrupt wallet at all.)

I tried loading with -salvagewallet and it just turned the wallet into a corrupted 32 kb file. I restored the original wallet and I'm still stuck here. Please helpe!@!

Seems you have the Windows Wallet. Just get the Addresses from the Addresses Tab in the Wallet. Then proceed with the other steps.

Actually I tried that, every single address =

I fixed it, I had an old wallet backup, used that and it worked.
If my wallet had been encrypted, I would have had to type 'walletpassphrase [mypassword] [number of seconds to keep pass in memory]
 But thanks anyways.

3000 satochi mini but 888 have potential for + . if devs have a agood plan and explicate that  the price will go very up . april will be  a good month amha

i will sell 20% at 3000 satochi(one month)s and i keep 80% for the futur. maybe 8000/10 000 in 3 month

i have 1% octocoins and keep on 3 wallets offline  and secure it with very hard pass. i want 5% all  octocoins (500 000) i wish  but i mining 1300 k hashes only in fedaykins.us.  the best pool  Grin

Miss the days when you made 100+ $ a day with mining doge   Grin
But i'm still mining octo because these prices now are a joke... miners must be kidding selling that low.
That doesn't make sence to me. They are only filling investors bags.  Wink
Trading this coin at 1000-1500 satoshis right now would be more realistic than dumping it for 300-400 satoshis.
It's only the lack of buyers at the moment, but once landing on Mintpal and the Devs showing up with their plans, this price will shoot up.
So just imagine the future value of this coin and keep on mining  Grin

i agree... and honestly mining any more of the established coins and cashing out isn't worth it. with  all the prices down you aren't making much of a return. i think mining 888 or any newer coin for a future return is smarter. i mean i've literally been mining murraycoin and octocoin for a long time and not seen a dime from either yet, minus a few trades on cryptorush which i waited for the price drop and bought back in for some gains.

i think patience will reward us in the future Smiley cryptorush showed us what a little volume looks like and it was good for the coin and got some more eyeballs on it and a price range but overall it's not a great exchange. it was a stepping stone and a dangerous one with all of their recent issues. let's hope mintpal and cryptsy get here soon enough.
