You see, although I lost two times, my negative profit is almost exactly equal to 1% of the wagered amount.
So you are saying that with 100 games which is 1% house edge you are suppose to lose 0.3 at one time but instead of losing once you are losing twice so that means it is lower than 1% of the house edge. 0.5% per lost? Because in my perception when you are doing 100 games with 1% house edge you tend to lose only 1 times right? 1% of 100 games should be 1 but you have 2 loses although the amount that you wagered is almost 1% of the wagering. Is this what you meant? When the house edge is 1%, you don't lose 1% of the games you play. The number of games you lose depends on odds too, When the house edge is 1%, in long term. you lose 1% of the amount you bet not 1% of the games you play. Int the game Betwrong has played, the probability of winning is 98%. So, he lost 2/100 games. The house is 1%, so he lost 1% of the amount he wagered About the long term 1% house edge I do completely understand because it approximately match to what we usually know. It will be 1% from the wagered amount. But in his case for the 2 loses is a little bit weird, I just want to know if it is also affecting their numbers of bets or not, because as I know there will bo not much different on the bet as well. Is it true that he is using the 98% of winning probability?

~ Jesus Christ, I think windice made a ton of money from this competition, otherwise why would they put a new one right after the most recent one.
It is not necessarily so. With so much given away as prizes, I think it's good if their profit during the contest wasn't negative. It's a promotional contest, and normally gambling sites don't make money with those. It's run for the sake of promotion. I disagree with this. They wont make things if they werent able to make money out of those promotions/contest.This will give out both (profits and exposure).

According to what he himself said, yes. The chance of win was set to 98%. Generally, when you set the chance of win to 98%, it is expected to lose 2 times in every 100 rolls, but there is no guarantee that this happens. If the house edge is 0, in a game with 98% chance, the odds is 1/0.98 = 1.02 Existence of house edge causes the odds to be lower. If the house edge is 1%. The odds is 0.99/0.98= 1.01

It wouldnt make any sense in terms of promotions to host the same contest right after the last one. There is way too less time in between those contests to get any marketing effect eg. people have no time to spread the word and tell their friends about it.

I also don't know how they hide their names while in the privacy setting we can only hide total wagered and profit

I also don't know how they hide their names while in the privacy setting we can only hide total wagered and profit We know how other players do give importance their privacy but this is crypto gambling where identity cant be known even if you do showed up your username. Hidden feature is somewhat senseless on my part.

There are many hidden usernames joining the race every single day, it is allowed because I believe it is a part of the privacy of the gamblers. There is no reasons for the site to ask their players to reveal their usernames while there is a contest running. Big players usually wants to be anonymous as much as possible including hiding their usernames from other users. If your main concern is about fairness, I believe windice wont do something like cheating on the contest by creating accounts to compete with real players. Coming up to the privacy setting, probably once you set your total wager and profit hidden then you will be hidden username automatically.

It's a common practice for gambling sites to not award players who are hidden in wagering contest. What about WinDice? Do players who are hidden receive prizes? Sorry, if it was answered earlier, I guess I missed it then. At least from what I can see about the previous wagering contest on WinDice, hidden players were rewarded. EDIT: ~It is common in most other gambling site such as Stake and Primedice. Hm, interesting. I thought PD had this rule, I was talking about. I just check it for Bitsler, and here is their top 5: Maybe it's a coincidence, but there are no hidden players in the top 5 there.

If the competition is liked that much maybe after this one or at least after the third one we could consider like a weekly one? For example, it starts at midnight when its turning to Friday (Thursday night going into Friday) and than ends at Sunday midnight? That way every week people would know there is a competition here and come here to gamble.
Both the casino and its players would win from this, I mean players who win big rewards would get big rewards and casino would have a ton of people gambling and trying to beat each other in wagered numbers as well. It is just a suggestion, it all depends on how the second one goes, if the second one happens to be huge as well and the team loves the results than I suggest my version of weekend competitions instead of randomly doing it.

I agree that it would be better if hidden player could not participate in races, but it does not trouble me so much.

Simply put: To keep it something special. If it happens too often it becomes boring, or would you like to celebrate Christmas every week? Time will tell, I am sure Windice will lower the frequency if less and lesser people are taking part in the contests.

I haven't seen any gambling website that does not allow users with hidden profile to not participate in the contests. Most of big gamblers prefer their profile to be hidden and if they are not allowed to participate in the contest, the gambling website would lose them. So we should not expect Windice or any other gambling website to not allow hidden users to participate in the contest. Usually, I check the profile of top places of contests. But making the profile hidden is their right. By the way, what is the benefit of hidden profile? A public username cannot reveal your identity. You can use any username you want.

I agree to you most big player want to hidden their profile but this is not issue for any waggering contest, just enjoy this contest and do your best to make on the top 10 to win reward, by the way I'm happy to receive my reward on last contest.

While 1 day and 10 hours left until end of the second contest, wagering amounts by top gamblers are higher than the amounts in the previous one. Till now, top three gamblers have wagered 7.18, 4.38 and 3.29 BTC. The top three gamblers in the previous contest had wagered 5.31, 3.32 and 2.56 BTC.

Currently at first place with over 7 btc wagered Come at me! Nice one, the contest is still running and there are still more than 24 hours. I doubt at the end of the contest time there will be players who will take over other participants but if you have a lot of bankrolls I think you don't need to worry. Good luck

Good luck one hard day for another player to defeat @yoloer808, from last few weeks he has won contest here. I think for contest this time, he will win again even though it is possible that someone will beat him (but that is too difficult). Moreover @yoloer808 has won a landslide won against other players, like last week's contest.

I don't think that there's an issue regarding the hidden names. Yes, it's a public contest and everyone is free to join whether those dicers that wants to hide their identities. And besides, bitcoin and other crypto's were used to gamble without any information of the gambler, right? so I don't find any issue with that. And how they do that, just tap on the hide wagered/profit.

Chickendinner seems like he will take this one but the game is still long to go, there is still a lot of time for the other places to race with each other, I mean at least I hope that they will race against each other because otherwise there is a lack of wagered since the two competitions were so close to each other we may not end up with the same amount of wagered this time around.
I am not saying its not gonna happen but if it does it wouldn't be a shock, we just got out of a new competition and there is a brand new one right away. Hell even yoloer who won last time doesn't seem to be around for this time around, he either lost a ton of money last competition so he doesn't want to do it again or he just didn't realize and will eventually come. Lets hope the race gets fierce soon.
