Real Madrid will be counting on Benzema again today to win the away game from Chelsea. I am optimistic about Madrid's victory today even though this match was played in front of Chelsea fans.

After the humiliating defeat to Barcelona then I think Real Madrid have returned to good form with a 1-2 win against Celta Vigo. Benzema is expected to crush Chelsea's hopes of qualifying for the semifinals, leaving Madrid to win this match by a few goals difference. 1-3 I hope maybe as the final result of the first leg.

It is not every day that Real will get 3 penalties like in the game against Vigo. If they play like that today it will not end well for them. I am thinking it will be a draw in the end, just hope it will be a scoring one. I need some good football after watching Atletico butcher the game yesterday. My bet goes to both to score to make it even more interesting.

Manchester City - Atletico Madrid game was boring from the start to the end. But after Manchester City scored the goal, at least we saw Atletico Madrid trying to score the equalizer. They failed maybe but this is still not the end for them either. I think that Manchester City shouldn't be so comfortable already now. It was only a 1-0 win for them and they will need to perform extra well in Wanda Metropolitano to keep their advantage. Atletico Madrid play way better in their home games and they would make difficulties for Manchester City there I think.

Oblak made the day for Athletico Madrid. Athletico was lucky not have conceded more than a single goal atleast this will make their chances of coming back In the leg 2 at Wanda Metropolitano. Athletico will not want to lose to city at home too.  My only disappointment with Athletico in the first leg is that they had no single attempt which made the game so boring and less competitive

I know Real Madrid can't keep hoping for the luck they had against Celta Vigo, but the Champions League is a different competition for them. Even though Real Madrid could actually lose this match, I don't expect them to embarrass themselves with a big loss. But I don't expect them to lose because I'm optimistic they can win it with a good game, of course.

Atletico are too boring, they are not like the top team in the Champions League because they completely failed to press Manchester City throughout the match. Nothing about the goal they managed to create, it was just ridiculous for a team that reached the quarter-finals. So I think we will have a different game today.

Not only Benzema's brilliance performance, Madrid won the game tactically with the introduction of rodrygo and Camavinga, who added extra bite to the madrid ageing midfield. With Ancelloti relying once again on experience instead of speed, it will be a long night for Real Madrid tonight at stamford bridge.

I believe both teams have equal chances. there is a possibility that the two teams can share the goals, but I'm not thinking about a draw.
Madrid certainly doesn't want the result of a match like Atletico's which is wrong in implementing the strategy. Madrid must play with their best performance. Likewise with Chelsea, although some players who are Muslim must undergo fasting.

Kick off between Chelsea vs Real Madrid will soon start but if you look at the current Line Up for Madrid I feel quite surprised.
They play their usual formation with 4-3-3 but there is something interesting here where Ancelotti makes something quite unique by placing Valverde on the right wing which incidentally is not the position he usually occupies because he is usually in central midfield.
I don't understand why but if you look at it from the reserves, there are many players there who can occupy it like Asensio and Rodrygo, who usually occupy that position.

Clearly from this we can say that Chelsea should be the favourites to win for this match , but then again Real Madrid should be among the most successful teams when it comes to champions League football which means anybody can win this match...but I fancy the Blues to win as they are in a better form than the visitors and they have home advantage.

I enjoyed the Benfica - Liverpool game a lot to be honest. Liverpool were in control mostly maybe but Benfica still tried something and found crucial goal opportunities too. But Liverpool still destroyed them 3-1 by a decent level of performance. This is the end for Benfica as it seems. And Atletico Madrid still have some hope even though they lost the game by 1-0. But Manchester City wouldn't play a defensive football like their competitor did against them. Manchester City should be able to get past them at the end.

For now I will not refer to the statistics because that has passed but I prefer to see their performance in their respective domestic leagues.
currently Chelsea are still bothered with their internal problems but on the other hand, madrid benefits more because they are only bothered with their striker problems which still makes Benzema seem to be struggling on his own up front.

^  Chelsea defends well under normal circumstances.  But with all the sh*t that's going on behind the scenes at the club and the uncertainty of its future, it's looking like it has been affecting the squad on the pitch.  Chelsea lost to Brentford 1 - 4.  I mean wtf, that doesn't just happen.  So yeah...  Knowing that and Real being Real, I'm taking a shot at the draw no bet for Real Madrid at decent odds at 2.60.

The Blues are seeded in the duel with El Real this time.  Chelsea have faced Madrid five times in Europe.  As a result, the Blues won three times and drew twice.

 Tonight is their sixth meeting.

 But it's just a historical record, but this time I doubt it, this year Chelsea are being hit by a lot of problems so their concentration is very chaotic at the moment, lastly they crushed by Brentford with a pretty landslide score.

I support your view in the fixture between Chelsea and Madrid. Recently past record or statistics doesn't work anymore so long as your team is in good form you obviously won't be scared of facing and winning any team.
With the experience of Madrid team and her players,  I don't think Chelsea will grab 3point tonight despite having a good record against Madrid.

The first half has started, so far the match has been quite exciting and both teams launched quite dangerous attacks against each other, chelsea which acts as the host is unlikely to waste the today match to ease their journey in the second leg later, so are real madrid who appear quite aggressive by continuing to rely on the speed possessed by Vinicius Junior to dismantle the Chelsea defense, even several times Vinicius managed to create chances but unfortunately still hit the crossbar. when I wrote this post, Benzema managed to beat Mendy and scored two goals in close proximity in today bigmatch match, while Madrid is leading 0-2 over Chelsea.

This really sounds like a really tempting odds for me too i have to say. Before todays matched i would have guessed that Chelsea vs. Real Madrid is probably the only real 50:50 matchup in this round of the Champions League as i really think that those 2 clubs are really at the exact same level at the moment. I also thought that the match up Bayern vs Villareal has the most clear favorite together with Liverpool vs Benfica as i thought that Bayern should not have that much problems with Villareal even if they are not reaching their top performance level.
Now that 25 minutes are played Villareal is 1-0 in front versus Bayern and Real Madrid is already leading with 2-0 goals in London vs. Chelsea. So i was totally wrong with my predictions before the match.
