With current form in domestic leagues am very sure that real Madrid will qualify on aggregate in the second leg against Paris Saint Germain, real Madrid have good players that can turn this tier around, because Paris Saint Germain are performing very poorly this season,I sometimes wonder why big clubs are still going after Mauricio Pochetino, you can't have Messi Neymar and Mbappe and still be performing badly is not normal.

Making predictions based on the regular league games is not a smart method. I mean we are talking about teams that worth maybe like a billion dollars or something, they would be smart enough to not care about regular league games, whereas playing their hardest at the champions league.

Imagine it this way, if you were in a lot of ease during the league, be a leader with like ton of points difference, wouldn't you care to just relax a bit and play with less motivation and just get ready for the real important game? Or if you were Madrid, and have Sevilla right at your tail, wouldn't that game matter more? So, it is all about relativity here and I believe PSG is still by far the better team.

We are only two days far from the beginning of the rematches. And on January 8, there are two games:
Bayern Munich vs Salzburg
Liverpool vs Inter
The first leg of the former matchup ended in a draw by 1-1. And Salzburg would have even won that game too. I didn't like Bayern Munich's performance at all but I don't expect it to affect their performance in the second leg badly either. I think Bayern Munich will crush Salzburg in this game. And when it comes to the latter, Liverpool are already in a comfortable situation as they won the first leg by 2-0. It was not easy though but the result was the most important point. I think they will win here again and finish this.

I agree with you that the hosts are in a big advantage and favorites to advance to the next round of the competition.
Bayern have not been playing well in the German championship lately, so their poor result and play in the first game in Salzburg is not a surprise for me.

Inter also played a very good game against Liverpool and deserved a much better result.

I agree that there have been bigger surprises in the Champions League but this time it seems like something like that is not going to happen. Because Liverpool is in their home ground in the second leg and they already have two goals advantage. And Bayern Munich does not seem to be losing in the next match against Salzburg. It was already a surprise when the first match was a draw and I think they will be ready this time.

I think that Real Madrid is going to play really offensive in the second leg because they already have to overcome a one goal deficit. I am also not convinced that PSG is going to defend properly against them. I think it's going to be a tricky one for PSG because I guess they are not sure if they want to defend the lead that they already have or play attacking football.

Not only City, even 2 other EPL clubs can be said to be strong candidates for qualification because Liverpool and Chelsea are also doing the same thing.
On the other hand, their performance is still quite good compared to their opponents.
In the 2nd Leg later for City, I even feel that I will not work too hard, even though the match will still be run but having to win against a club like City by pursuing an aggregate of 5 goals is not an easy thing to do

City have frozen a very good starting capital by being able to relax a bit in the second leg because they will only keep the ball very well in order to qualify for the next round although will not be too insistent on scoring more goals, but if the opportunity is there, I think the side City also will not ignore it in the second leg match later.

I personally feel they will still play their tier players now considering the importance of rotation there because of the hectic schedule that City has to go through
Even though they play with tier players, this doesn't mean they underestimate their opponents because their reserve players are quite strong, I think.
The game at the Etihad will still be difficult for Sporting CP even if they perform optimally in the domestic league but this will not have much impact in the UCL

I think that in the optimal composition, when the Vinicius-Benzema combination plays in Real Madrid, the attack of Real Madrid is at least as good as that of PSG. I don't remember saying otherwise, maybe I put it wrong (or you misunderstood). As for the result, when two strong clubs meet (and not Bayern - Salzburg for example), any result is not surprising.

To think that ANY trio would be better than "neymar-mbappe-messi" trio is delusional. I mean we are talking about the three amazing players here that would be hard to compete against in any situation and it would be near impossible to catch them even if you spent a billion dollars to build a club. As for Individuals they are still good but as you said they are still looking at the names and individual skills in looking at the trio.
Even though they have quite good individual skills it doesn't mean they can be very crazy for the trio.
I think for now the clubs in the EPL still have a pretty good trio for now even though their individual abilities can be said to have lost in terms of fame but there are indeed some clubs like Liverpool who make a very good trio now.

Correct, but PSG really has zero pressure to win any of the left games in Ligue 1. They'd rather try not to get injured and there is no doubt that PSG played an astonishing first leg against Real in the CL. PSG only played for the draw, they were "comfortable" thinking they had control of the game and didn't expect to concede a goal from Nice at the end of the second half, now they have to run after the damage.

Imagine you were on PSG's team, how much would it mean to you to win against Nice when shortly after you have the chance to eliminate Real Madrid in the Champions League? The Champions League match is a completely different matter and the motivation here will be of a completely different kind than the motivation for the domestic championship games. The advantage over the rest of the Ligue 1 clubs still remains huge and a loss to Nice can just spoil the mood of the players a little, but it should not have any other meaning, or even on the contrary, shake up the team a little and throw off even a small shadow of good-nature and calmness on the team's face.
