Yeh Pakistan has done amazing performance and after a long time they got successful to win a test series, from current performance of Pakistan we can predict that soon in year Pakistan will be in top 5 team in test format standing but the things is if they stick with thier technique and performance.

I agree that the win for the Pakistan team was a good and convincing one but we should not forget that it was against a small team Srilanka. I call them a small team because their recent performances are not so good. So considering this, one should not make up the mind that the Pakistan team is a champion of test matches or something similar.

Still, i am not taking the reward away from the Pakistan team as they played good cricket as a team and won this test match by 222 runs. Srilanka failed to bat in this test match and was out on 166 & 188 respectively in first and second innings.

One might look at the scorecard and say they are 7 down, tail is exposed and not enough runs on the board but at the same time, this team is becoming unpredictable. I won't be surprised if they even touch the 300 mark or surpass it.

And towards the end Chris Woakes and Mark Wood did get some quick runs. But eventually England was all out. I don’t think this score is good enough. They cannot let Australia get a good lead in the first innings. The first task for the English boilers should be to remove Usman Khawaja from the middle.

If England cannot get Australia all out cheaply, Australia is going to get a good lead and that is not going to be good for England. Australia is still trailing by 222. Every match in this series was very competitive. The performance of both the teams was quite good. We saw Australia's dominance in the first two matches. They won both matches. However, the England team made a great comeback in the third match. And they got a nice win. England maintained this consistency in the fourth match as well. But unfortunately, the match was a draw.

England are still trailing 2-1 in the series. England could not bat well in the last test match. And their bowlers have not bowled well so far. At the end of the first day, Australia collected 61 runs after losing 1 wicket. Australia is behind by 222 runs. If England's bowlers cannot bowl well in the first session the next day, then we will probably see the dominance of Australia's batsmen on the second day.

England got really lucky posting a decent target since Australia dropped several catches which could have restricted them to a total under 200. Harry Brook was actually dropped on 5 freaking runs.

Advantage Australia! Warner failed to convert another good start and he should focus on test retirement plans soon.

If some key players whose performance will prolong their match and fight for victory do not perform well then the match is sure to be lost. Some of the reliable players in the Srilanka team like Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis, Mathews, Chandimal and Dhananjaya de Silva could not play consistently. Some played in the 1st innings and some got few runs in the 2nd innings. The biggest thing is that they could not take all the wickets of Pakistan in the 2nd Test match. Pakistan played brilliantly in the 2nd Test which resulted in them winning the 2nd Test by 222 runs.

Srilanka and West Indies are two teams that are going down in test format consistently. Srilanka are fortunate enough to qualify for ODI world cup but West indies couldn't made it to the world cup finals. We saw similar type of performance from West Indies in recent Test series against India. If both Sri Lanka and west indies keep playing like that in test then very soon they will be eliminated from test format.

I think it's too early to say such kind of statement, because the way England comeback strongly in 4th match it's incredible. They fought hard through his bat and ball but unfortunately due to heavy they can't make it,
No doubt currently they had scored a decent target which can help them to be in the game, 283 is a good target they can make it batter but unfortunately rather than brook no one can deliver it.
Now it's up to Bowler because they already took important wicket of Warner and hope more will be coming soon. England bowling are well experience and well known how to handle situation, If the bowling side hold th before any big lead then we can see the series tie/level by 2-2 which will be no doubt a big achievement for England....

There is no denying the fact that Bazball approach to Test cricket is really entertaining for the viewers but at the end of the days play England only managed to score 283 runs which will hurt in this match. With the way England made a comeback after loosing the first two matches, wanted to see England leveling the series but now Australia has the advantage and if they are able to build a good first innings lead, the match is over for England.

There is no denying the fact that Bazball approach to Test cricket is really entertaining for the viewers but at the end of the days play England only managed to score 283 runs which will hurt in this match. With the way England made a comeback after loosing the first two matches, wanted to see England leveling the series but now Australia has the advantage and if they are able to build a good first innings lead, the match is over for England.

Too early to say this, IMO. 283 is a decent score, given the pace friendly conditions at the Oval. And apart from Usman Khawaja, none of the other Australian batsmen are in good form at this point. David Warner already got out in Day 1, after making just 24 runs. BTW, I don't understand the continued inclusion of James Anderson in the squad. I know that he is very close to the mark of 700 test wickets (689 right now), but his personal achievements should not come at the cost of the performance of the team.

Winning a Test series against a country as a visiting team is a huge achievement. Because the middle tier teams apart from the big teams usually have some home advantage when they play at their home ground which makes it very difficult for the batsmen and bowlers of the visiting countries to perform well where Pakistan has performed well. Pakistan's batting looked like they were the host nation and Sri Lanka the visiting nation.

After winning the first test against Sri Lanka, I was a bit more optimistic about Pakistan in the second test. In the second Test, Pakistan did better than we expected against Sri Lanka. We expected Pakistan to win the second test but we did not expect to win by an innings in the second test against Sri Lanka.
