I don't know BCCI only has issue in playing in Pakistan while they have no issue in hosting same country on there own land? We all know how difficult is arranging things between these two countries but still ICC diplomacy works, and now we are going to have Asia Cup in September with mostly Indian matches are going to play in Sri Lanka with if India reaches into final then final will be also played in Sri Lanka which is good because now after end of deadlock things looking positive for the world cup as well which was under threat of Pakistan will not tour India if they are not going to play in Asia Cup.

Well, it is certainly difficult to arrange a match between Pakistan and India. I am just happy that we are eventually seeing the match be played, hope so. True, Pakistan have been planning for the Asia Cup hosting for a long. When India denied to play in Pakistan, there were more controversy. India being one among the powerful board of ICC gave it high position against the PCB. Now the result is welcoming, because someway Pakistan have got the chance to host the tournament. But not only Virat Kohli of Indian team but also other players like Jadeja Rohit Sharma are some players who are taking the Indian team forward tremendously.

Pakistan also has good batsmen and bowlers but i think Pakistan are more special in bowling rather then batting. if they improved their batting then i think Pakistan will be dangerous team.

Like everyone else I would say that PCB has taken a good decision if their cricket board had not accepted it would have a bad impact on their cricket.Hopefully, if everything goes well, we will see a beautiful Asia Cup. And thanks to ICC for finding a solution to this problem.

There is champions trophy coming up in 2024 and Pakistan has got its hosting rights. There are unconfirmed news that India will not visit Pakistan to play that ICC tournament and that's the primary reason it will be relocated to some other country. So BCCI was not comfortable in playing in Pakistan no matter whether its ACC event or ICC but willing to host Pakistan in India. Its a win win situation for BCCI and total loss for PCB.

It means the jio effect of the IPL live streaming is getting reflected. Disney+Hotstar have let mobile users with free live streaming of Asia Cup. The Zee entertainment has been provided with the broadcasting rights of ICC men's tournaments and U-19 cricket tournaments for four years.

Those two have played almost same number of ODI matches. Shubman Gill have got better batting average of 60+ runs against that of Suryakumar Yadav's 24 runs. We can't be early judgemental, everyone should be given sufficient opportunities. Only then it is possible to watch the real ability of the players. Shubman Gill is very young and he have got years to build his career better. Suryakumar Yadav is already 32 and now its time to do the best for the team and get slotted in every important tournaments.

Shubman Gill is an excellent batsman. In IPL, he impressed everyone with his excellent batting. He played very well. But don't forget that Shubman Gill is only 23 years old. He is not experienced enough to be a good platform in IPL. BCCI has a lot of talented players. However, BCCI has always given more preference to experienced players when it comes to World Cup squad formation. BCCI builds the squad with only experienced players. And so between Suryakumar and Shubman Gill, BCCI is likely to favor Suryakumar Yadav.

Don't know much about the first part. I thought that the deal was already finalized. And regarding the free broadcast for Asia Cup and ICC World Cup, I guess it is available only for mobile users. Hotstar is trying to replicate the JioTV model, where the OTT platform ended up with significant advertisement revenues during this season of the IPL. That said, I don't know how successful this model can be, given the fact that ad revenues are way below the amount both these companies paid for the IPL media rights (₹25,484 crore for Star India).

Nepal shown its existence and perform really well in its previous matches and now we are looking it in the Asia Cup and I hope it will show its power in the Cup too. If you remember, Nepal qualified for the Asia Cup back in 2006 as well. But then the entire tournament was cancelled due to some dispute between the BCCI and PCB. For the next edition of the Asia Cup, the qualifiers was conducted once again rather than allowing Nepal to qualify directly. And this was the time when ICC changed their eligibility criteria, which allowed the Gulf teams to compete with first class players from India and Pakistan. As a result, the next tournament was conducted in 2008, and United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong participated in this tournament along with the 4 test nations from Asia.

They did announce the merger on an ICC media rights deal (50-50) but so far Zee didn't pay a single penny to Disney and the latter didn't pay anything to ICC but for some weird reasons, it got stuck and still is in discussion mode.
