I think it's early to expect such things from Afghanistan, they have already done justice with there performance. They have won 3 games and looks like wining another game today. This WC is confined around 4 teams aka Aus, NZ, SA and India there is hardly anything left for others. This World Cup is a nightmare for SL as they have faced huge defeats this time.

So far it looks like Afghanistan are playing very well. Currently 13 over is running they are lose only they are two wicket and there is 71. If this continues if Afghanistan can keep their wicket and play without rushing then I think Afghanistan will win today. But Netherlands can't be taken too lightly because they too have come up with a fairly good performance, now if their bowling performance can be improved then Afghanistan can lose Afghanistan has many records of losing such matches. But today I will pick Afghanistan team as for my betting.

If Afghanistan can take control of the game now, it will be possible to win the match against the Netherlands. Although today the Netherlands team could not score many runs by batting, they got all out by scoring only 179 runs.  Since Afghanistan was in good form this time and have managed to collect good runs for the loss of only two wickets, there is definitely a possibility of the match today. Although at the moment Afghanistan batsmen are not taking much pressure but are playing calmly they don't need much more runs to meet the target of 180 runs for the win, very soon they will get the win. Also need only 70 runs to win at the moment, still have enough wickets and balls in hand if present partnership can play then win soon. And if the Netherlands team can improve their bowling performance, they will soon be able to put pressure on Afghanistan. And since today's match is in the hands of Afghanistan, their batting performance is very good at the moment, so the chances of winning are the highest.

Once again the Dutch top order and middle order collapses. But this time the collapse occurred after they got a good start. With Netherlands being a relatively good team, we expected the result of today's match to be played till the last ball, but Afghanistan forced the Dutch batsmen to end the innings quickly with their bowling spin. My favorite Netherlands game was the day they beat South Africa. I thought the Netherlands would do their best today and beat Afghanistan just like South Africa. Netherlands lost today's match because of their stupid batting. Top order batsmen do not get out by performing poorly. Four of the first 5 batsmen were run out. In such an important match, the Netherlands batsmen should have batted responsibly. But they played like fools. Had it not been for these four run outs, the Netherlands could easily have given away a target of 260+ today. And if Netherlands could have given a target of more than 260 on this pitch, they might have won the match. Giving a target of just 180 runs was impossible to win. Afghanistan batsmen batted very responsibly today. The team has won four out of seven matches and is now fifth in the points table.

I don't think this was embarrassing because this was impressive fielding from the Afghanistan I was watching match while this all happen Netherlands having good start and Max O'Dowd was in good touch as he has 42 runs on just 40 balls but direct through from the Omarzai bring Afghanistan into match and then second run-out was just a wrong call from the Sybrand Engelbrecht which bring down Colin Ackermann with this out the Netherlands completely out of the match and have no other batsman who play against quality Afghani spinners which wrap them quickly and after having 179 runs things were completely in control of the Afghanistan which chase this in just 32 overs and now with this win things are having good turn for them as well.

This was fourth win for them in this event and their Champions League spot is also fixed which is also good, but now main target is last four with South Africa and Australia are waiting for them in coming matches.

Tomorrow we are going to have two matches with first match is between Pakistan vs New Zealand and second match is Australia vs England both Australia are New Zealand are favorite with their performance, but recent injuries are going to hurt them Maxwell and Michael Marsh out for the Australia and New Zealand is also having worrying situation which can create problems for them after having impressive start.

Even most of the cricket pundits are already predicting about India, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand are favorite but still any upset can happen which will allow Afghanistan or Pakistan for the fourth spot.
