Nope, they've already finalized and released the roster of who are gonna participate in these tournaments. While some other PBA players are getting extension contracts, I have also seen those players that have declined it and chosen to play for MPBL. We can't blame them if they're getting better exposure through MPBL. Yeah right, MPBL is open to accepting players from PBA or from any other leagues because they're giving the same opportunity for all. Whilst in PBA, it all depends on the coaching staff and to the management if they're gonna give them their break. Well, with that situation we know what happened with Abandon being part of the national team and being coached by a PBA coach whom is Chot. And that's what's happening for some other teams that they don't give break to the good ones and that's why they're leaving the league and jumping on the other leagues because they'll get more playing time and exposure and the PBA is even not appreciating those talents and thinks high of themselves for imposing such rules.

I couldn't agree more with you mate  . Raw talent that needs development will just be stagnant in the PBA if you don't have good connections with the coaching staff, i mean those players who are not sons or families of some coaching staff will just be bench warmer or practice player if their talent is just regular.

I've read an article that stated that a certain player refuses the offer of a certain PBA team to join MPBL, that sounds insulting to the PBA itself but maybe that guy have a good reason why he opt out of the PBA, just like you said, maybe playing time or exposure so that may scouts from a foreign team could see his talent and bring him overseas where the money is good.

I couldn't agree more with you mate  . Yeah they've got lots of reason and one of those is the point that you are mentioning about favoritism and playing time exposures, even you have your contract and you are secured to recieve your monthly payment it's still better to have that chance to play, and with how our neighboring countries are pirating players, those who choose to play outside PBA might get that chance and for sure it will be more money and exposures if they manage to play overseas.

Actually for now it's okay to loss because this is not the elimination round yet but kudos to the under dog teams which is they performed well they do their best and what we saw nowadays is Rain or shine is on the top which is pretty good to know and to see their performances. I also didn't bet on that match and regretted later on, but if something is gone then let it go, and wait for another such events to happen. That's quite unusual because Blackwater doesn't typically maintain such a good record as they have now. You may be correct in noting that these are mostly exhibition games where defense is not heavily emphasized. However, these games provide an opportunity for the players to stay in condition before the season resumes. The extended break also allows injured players from the previous conference to recover, and we can anticipate their return, making the upcoming conference more exciting to watch. We've already seen Romeo play, and hopefully, he'll receive more playing time in the actual games.

Although if we look at the positive side, it might give Blackwater, at least, a good encouragement that they can match against those mid-tier teams and not that their team actually always ended up a loser. The ongoing PBA On-Tour gives most teams, especially low-tier teams to somehow sees what else can they do in terms of adjustment or roster management once the season goes live.

Let's admit that Blackwater has a low chance of even qualifying for the Quarterfinals with a Do-Or-Die disadvantage especially if we refer to the "All-Filipino Cup Conference" where the strength of each team purely relies on locals. However, they have the ability to spoil the seeding and positioning of those teams who are battling for the top seed which might wreck the plan of sister companies of not meeting each other in the first phase of the playoffs.

That's the only thing they can do for now as long as the PBA will not change to having teams with one owner only, that kind of system which is the farm system will exist. PBA is a major league in the Philippines but you can hear a lot of criticism about this league, however, they should look at the future of the league as there are already leagues out there that are patronized by some fans.

I did check the score after first half and got surprise Mags turned everything to their favor what a 2nd quarter run outscoring TNT, but for sure there are many changes as there are still 2 quarters and anything can still happen here, the handicap is huge Kabayan, looking to see that TNT will try to rally back and close the gap or possible to win it even they are listed as underdog here.

According to the play-by-play data from https://pba.ph, I can't find the names of Castro, Williams, and Pogoy, who are their big 3 players. That's why it's understandable why they are considered underdogs.

Nevertheless, since this is an exhibition game, your bet still has a chance of winning. Who knows, TNT might come out on top.
