Sure that many will be watching these friendly games as this will be the first time that Jordan Clarkson and Kai Sotto will be playing and I think they can beat two of the three so I'm intrigued by how the bookies look at these games.
I've noticed some betting odds already available for upcoming friendlies that will take place in less than 24 hours. Serbia vs Puerto Rico in 2 hours. Australia vs South Sudan in 19 hours. Japan vs France in 19 hours. Egypt vs Lebanon in a day. (ex) So, it's safe to assume that we will see those betting odds once the schedule is nearing, precisely 1 day away. Regarding Sotto and Clarkson, yes, they should be fun to watch. I'm hopeful that we'll witness numerous alley-oop assists from Clarkson, as the Jazz have bigger players who excel in generating points through that style.

If Sotto is quick enough, that could possibly happen. However, their opponents also have big players who can dominate the paint, particularly the Dominican Republic, who have Towns playing. The question now is, can Kai Sotto defend Karl Anthony Towns? Personally, I don't think he can, and none of the Gilas Center could stop Towns, if Gilas should make sure that their outside shooting is consistent so they can make this an interesting game to watch.

Yup, Gilas' outside shooting should be sharp and near to perfect in terms of percentage if they want to beat the Dominican Republic as it is impossible to stop Karl Anthony Towns in the middle but they also have a problem on how to stop Jordan Clarkson, that's for sure. If JC could score 30 in the first Gilas outing then possible they will win. It's unfortunate that there is no coverage for the tune-up game between Gilas and Ivory Coast as it is a closed door event, the don't want scout to know their system hehe.

Are there betting odds for this particular game? It's understandable if they won't be showing the game live, but having betting odds available would be helpful as we can still check the outcome. Maybe the box score would be sufficient. I'm not sure if this is the rule for all tune-up games or just for this specific one. If I'm not mistaken, I believe there were some tune-up games that were broadcast live. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, there are odds in my favorite crypto bookies and at the moment the Gilas squad is ahead by a slim margin of six point, this only shows that Gilas is no push-over team anymore.

I'm happy to see that the Philippines is leading. I hope they can win this game, as it will boost their confidence for the actual game. Currently, there's a break. The Philippines' moneyline (ML) odds are 1.23, and they are favored by -6.5 points. I can't believe we are the favorites here; I thought Ivory Coast was a strong team. At the moment, I'm not tempted to bet because the Philippines is favored, but I'm hoping they will win. I saw the odds at Sportsbet.

I don't think so, KAT is on a different level and with his experience, he's far from being compared to Kai. As much as I want to cheer and believe on Kai, but if we look at the reality, Kai can't be compared to him and inside the court he can't do that much in defense IMO. That's why they can focus with outside shooting and as well as offensive where they can go with the points play and that's how they're going to cope up with the Dominican Republic. But let's just let them play and this is also going to depend on how coach Chot will choose the players that he believes to take that win against them.

Thank you for sharing the live odds, kabayan. I am currently monitoring them, and I'm happy to see that the Philippines seems to be winning this game. We are already in the 4th quarter, and the score is 74-58 in favor of Gilas. I would like to extend my congratulations in advance to you, kabayan, if you were able to bet on this game.

Congratulations to Gilas Pilipinas! I received an update from a Facebook group.
The final score was Gilas Pilipinas - 85, Ivory Coast - 62. That's a complete domination by our team. Now, what I'm interested to know is who led that win and the individual performances of the players. This is a promising start—only 2 more games to go. If we can secure victories in the remaining two matches, people might cease criticizing the Gilas lineup and instead have confidence that our team will emerge victorious.

That is a good news to every Filipino and who bet gilas pilipinas as we can see that they will win the matchup and a 23 lead is quite good enough for their tuneup game. And also it's amaze that the ball distributed well use there are many players who scored double digit which means the ball passing is there and we are all know that the 3 tower of goals pilipinas will too strong. And also they have Jc which is plus offense.

As anticipated, JC took the lead for the team. Upon reviewing the boxscore, it's clear that there was excellent ball movement, as the scores were evenly distributed among the players. Congratulations to Gilas Pilipinas for winning the game. Unfortunately, we won't be able to see the highlights because it was a closed-door game, and recording the game is likely not allowed either. All we can see now are just a few pictures and clips from our Filipino Vloggers, but that's already enough to give us a little idea of what happened in the game.
Are the two succeeding games also closed-door events? I'm just curious because this one was.
Anyway, I won't complain. All I want is to see Gilas winning games before the FIBA World Cup.

Wait, don't get hyped. The 3 tune-up games before the FIBA game are lighter. Much even lighter compared to the recent tournament they went through. It's not even good that an easy win will come in those tune-up games because it should be the basis of choosing the Final 12-man pool in the Gilas. If these tune-up games will be easy, how come to Coach Chot and SBP will be able to see who's the better guy at a critical point? Currently, it's not yet decided who will be removed from the current pool, and getting easy games won't help with the decision. These 3 teams that Gilas will face in the tune-up games are NOTHING compared to the teams they will face on the official bracket. Gilas Pilipinas is in Group A with Italy, Dominican Republic, and Angola. These teams are truly monstrous.

I get your point and it's true that the tune game is far different from how the actual games will take place I know that PH bracket is composed of teams who really can dominate the game, it's tough but I'm still hoping that National squad will try doing everything to win a game. We will be able to conclude if how the team will perform after we see them playing against those teams, still on the positive side where maybe there's a good combination that will take pride in competing and win, still possible..

I've read somewhere that they chose these three teams to simulate the kind of play in their region/places. Like for example, they will face the Dominican Republic so they choose Mexico for them to acquaint themselves more with the Latin brand of basketball, i think i have said this in my previous post. I think they will try to dissect the system of play of their tune-up opponents hoping that this will bring similarities on their actual opponent in the FIBA World Cup 23. But I agree with you that this kind of easy game should not be the basis of choosing the final 12 but I think also that even before these games they already have in mind on who will be cut.

Yes even though that is a tune up game but still where happy to saw them that they will work as a team. Which we are all know that once they will use the ball movement then for sure they will make things happen cause if we talked about height then we have the 3 towers which can sustain inside the basket.

Just recently, the Dominican Republic defeated Canada in a tune-up game. Considering Canada is a top 10 team in the FIBA World Cup, this highlights the strength of the Dominican Republic's team. While we might be excited about our victory in a tune-up game, we need to realize that it's just the beginning. The true test will come in the first game of the FIBA World Cup on August 25.

Our advantage lies in our team's 'PUSO', and with the games being played on our home court, the Gilas players must perform exceptionally well. Coach Chot has yet to finalize the roster to represent the country. There are rumors that Abando might not be selected, as they aim to surround JC with tall shooters who possess excellent height which we all know Abando is small.
By the way guys, can you share here your final 12?

By the way guys, can you share here your final 12? With KAT's height and all those edge against an average player he extremely add the weight for Dominican Republic, I see the point that the team already have that chemistry then adding another big threat surely gives them big advantage they developed team game, and that's another thing to watch out, they are leaning with each other and they are capable of beating strong team with that kind of good communications and chemistries. Though, there's a saying "The ball is round". We never know what luck will permit or how the team's strategy will work against the opposing team. I don't have my list since I don't want to disappoint myself. I know coach Chot will have a surprise for every gilas fan.

With KAT's height and all those edge against an average player he extremely add the weight for Dominican Republic, I see the point that the team already have that chemistry then adding another big threat surely gives them big advantage they developed team game, and that's another thing to watch out, they are leaning with each other and they are capable of beating strong team with that kind of good communications and chemistries. Though, there's a saying "The ball is round". We never know what luck will permit or how the team's strategy will work against the opposing team. KAT isn't the only threat they have; they also boast several shooters and taller, physical players. However, if we manage to contain KAT's presence in the paint, the games could become quite exhilarating. Gilas has strong outside shooters, and the fans' support could play a significant role in inspiring their performance. With Junemar Fajardo, AJ Edu, Japeth Aguilar, and Kai Sotto, these big players will likely pose challenges for KAT in the paint. While it's difficult to directly compare an NBA player to a non-NBA player, it's plausible that KAT could face double-team defenses from our bigs. I don't have my list since I don't want to disappoint myself. I know coach Chot will have a surprise for every gilas fan. It would be surprising if Abando isn't included in the final 12. I'm confident that fans would be disappointed and might criticize the coach's decision once again.
