Good news to those PBA lovers and Esports lovers as well, Marc Pingris and Junemar Fajardo are going to play DOTA for a cause, for those who can relate to this game it's your time help and support the frontliners of our battle with this disease. I'm not an enthusiast of this game  and don't have any idea of the mechanics on how we can support this endeavor.

This is not a big event, and this is for a cause so the public are not interested with this, they will instead just focus on the real esports games than this one, and these two knows each other, they could rig the game and bet for themselves, so it's not gonna happen.

Fajardo is already an online gamer since his ABL (Asean Basketball League) days. Junjun Cabatu was his partner back then and the later was also responsible in introducing him to Marc Pingris, that's one reason why they become best of friends.

I don't think this will be covered by the bookies as this is only a friendly tournament and a "play for a cause" event so they might not take it seriously.

I can't find any mechanics too. According to the article, the event was started last March 24 and they are now done with Marvel of War.

Just 4 days ago, they managed to raised Php250,000 and now it rose to Php400,000. Good job for those who take part in this Mineski's event.

This is not a big event, and this is for a cause so the public are not interested with this, they will instead just focus on the real esports games than this one, and these two knows each other, they could rig the game and bet for themselves, so it's not gonna happen.

Yes, I agree there will be no online betting for these as it was a charity game.

But if there is, I disagree that it will be rigged. If you know the game mechanics, you can actually see and understand if something unusual is happening and I doubt these players will take advantage of the current situation that the nation is dealing with. The game is live. It's a disgrace as a public figure if something goes wrong. The players involved are kind and helpful so I doubt they will take advantage of the situation just to make a profit to themselves.

They are showing that they can also share their big profits in time of crisis, Php 500 million is a huge sum of money, I can only think how profitable the SMC is and how big of a bonus the SMB team will receive when they win championship.

Well I didn't know this news yet maybe I get busy thats why. It is good the even them has make their way to help others, also I read that Manny Pangilinan the owner of SMC already gave a lot to its employees and to the hospital. Glad that PBA members shows their support and help to those needy. How about other teams? Did they also give something or help?

Well I didn't know this news yet maybe I get busy thats why. Probably, since this is not a compulsory thing then we would not know everything, and some will prepare not to publish the help that they give.
Hopefully the "bayanihan" will enter in the hearts of the many who can afford to help financially, so together we can defeat the virus and we can get back our normal life.

There's no news/update regarding to those other teams helping their employees and others. But if we look at the bright side a lot of well financially people helped silently without the camera, so most probably, let's just assume the way like that.

There's no news/update regarding to those other teams helping their employees and others. But if we look at the bright side a lot of well financially people helped silently without the camera, so most probably, let's just assume the way like that.

I would like to see them donating food or necessary equipment need to combat the pandemic than just giving the money and let the government distribute it as I don't have trust with the government, our government is corrupt, especially in the LGU as they will be the ones who will distribute the help to the people.

I partly agreed with that. Even so the DOLE: 250,000 workers to get aid amid COVID-19 quarantine promise to received P5,000 has been hold by the "others" employee company coz of the losses of company not making an income this crisis.

that the government can't handle everything but with the help of this different companies it will reach those who are in need.

All of us are into this fight even staying at home is our fight no to spread the virus. I really salute those people who have the heart to help the President and all the frontliners who do their specific duties, it's life threatening for them but they still work for all of us. Right now all we can do is to support them and abide to the order from the government.

And just later on he (President) addresses that the financial assistance should not be delayed and hoping that it will not be cut for who distributing it and he assigned it instead to DSWD and not to the LGUs, seems a good one because mostly LGUs, you know what I mean.

Since most of us are now lurking most of the time in front of our desk, I've watched some of the basketball game highlights that marked in history either PBA, NBA, and MBA (the now, MPBL version).

One game highlight I watched is the 81-point game of Kobe Bryant and when LeBron James passed him in the All-time scoring leaders. It's now lead me to check the total score made by NBA players. Then somehow I lurk to PBA news and saw some article about its All-time Scoring Ladder so I began thinking, why the hell all these times, I didn't even think of checking the total scoring leaders in our own, Philippine Basketball Association.

As we can see, J. Yap, Caguioa and Santos are the active players today. J. Yap can still catch up to Jerry Codiñera for the 11th rank even with the hiatus of PBA. Santos also has a chance to reach the 17th spot. However, for Caguioa, it looks like he will be in 15th place once he retires since even he is still active, his playing time is now mostly at the bench lol.

Non of the active players in the PBA now has reach the top 10 yet, and I was surprise James Yap is leading the scoring. Damn I think he is really good during his time with the san mig coffee and teams prior to that.

Now, I know the reason why they called him BIG GAME JAMES.

I'm wondering now if they really play good teamwork before compared today, and before games are more physical so scoring are less, we should be breaking that record already.

As we can see, J. Yap, Caguioa and Santos are the active players today. J. Yap can still catch up to Jerry Codiñera for the 11th rank even with the hiatus of PBA. Santos also has a chance to reach the 17th spot. However, for Caguioa, it looks like he will be in 15th place once he retires since even he is still active, his playing time is now mostly at the bench lol.

James Yap turned 38 last February so plenty of time left to pass the 11th rank and he is one of the main men for the Rain Or Shine so definitely even the PBA takes a break for now due to pandemic virus he has lots of opportunity and chances to achieve it.

Unlike for Caguaio, now near retirement and almost averaging 1-3 minute a game. He is now 40 years old so no chance now to break the 14th place. But achieving 10,000 points is already an achievement of a PBA player. Maybe that's the reason why he doesn't want to retire when he already passed his prime for him to be included in the 10,000 point marks.

Arwind Santos is also at 38 and will turn 39 this June. Still, lots of works to be included in the 10,000 point mark as we know the SMB team has lots of scorers.
