Lucky for bettors who took the ML, such a big win as the import of DYIP are also playing well though he doesn't hav an aggressive start unlike the import of the blackwater, but the good thing is he finished as the winner.

Nope they still are a farm team, and 2 wins can't change that fact.
They've traded most of their top picks in the past for some role players, and the trend will still continue because... they are a farm team.

2 independent farm teams fought in the first game. It's good that both of the imports scored 50+ points which is kind of surprising because in these past games, we've seen imports like Hudson, Franklin, Selden and Brownlee and now the 2 Williams having high points. This might have a domino effect for other imports thus, they might think that they might do better offensively as well.
On the other hand, the 2nd game is a low scoring game, but still the SMB have a perfect record with 5-0. 4 of their 6 remaining games are against the top teams right now like Ginebra, Converge (which is their next opponent), NLEX and TNT.

That's something to learn in this league, even how hard the import will work but if the locals are un-match with the opposing team, the chance of winning is slim for the team. A good effort and really a fighting caliber import but ain't enough to hold and make a win, in the meantime, DYIP manage to snatched this game agaisnt Blackwater, also the import who played an important role to win the game..

Commentators of the game between Meralco and SMB always said that SMB had a good import, not totally that offensive but he makes his teammates better because he does not demand the ball so hard. He can defend well, as a result, the production of McDaniels, Meralco import was very limited, especially in the 1st half.

So far he is the best import IMO because he does not carry his team, he just defends, pass the ball and makes some points if necessary. The way he defended McDaniels, I think he can still do that to other imports, especially Brownlee. So far, he and Brownlee are the best team players import for me, but let's see if they'll face in the future.

Definitely Hester better than their previous import but it is yet too early to tell that Magnolia will improve now because as far as i can see he is not a very dominant import while some of their key local players are not yet in good basketball health due to injury.

Loss my bet last night because i thought that Bollick will be of a good help for NorthPort to win against the Kings but i'm wrong as this Kings team is dangerous and came back from a deficit and won just like the old times so i'll be not betting against them anymore hehe.

Establishing 30 big points from his 11 shots out of 21, which was a 52% field goal percentage, that was a spectacular performance on his return. Their import, Kevin Murphy might be happy that at last, he will now have a good duo on scoring.

Although they lack gas and lose only by 5 points, NorthPort can now be considered back on track.

Honestly, even though Magnolia playing without an import on that game, they should be able to handle the struggling Phoenix. The gap is just too far in terms of comparing their respective lineup. Magnolia's import Antonio Hester shows he's really a good choice for replacing Eric McGree.

But the question is, can Hester will have the same performance if they will face a top-tier team?

If Magnolia instead still loses in that game, that would be really embarrassing. That game is a must-win and they won it.

It's good to see Bollick again after many speculations of him playing in Taiwan and Japan.
The not-so-bad thing though is that, he only signed a one-conference deal with the NorthPort and most probably, he will go to another team (I just don't know where but I saw it online).

The duo of Bollick and Murphy seems good because both of them scored 30+ points each, but it wasn't enough for them to win because they're up against the Ginebra.

With great shooting, I think that total points will be easily achieve.

Converge is also a good team, but the problem is they cannot stop JMF inside, plus their import will not be so tired because SMB has a lot of weapons for their offense, I'm afraid the import of converge will be exhausted because of the great defense of SMB.

TNT is already leading by 15 points, I think the point spread was -13.5. If TNT will continue to play better in the 2nd half, then I would say it's an easy win for the TNT in this game. TNT is now -17.5, it's still worth to take IMO because I don't think this DYIP has enough fire power to have a good come back.

Right on the money mate, congrats. Haven't thought of that, i could have tailed this one if i saw this post of yours before the game began.

Even that high spread was well covered by TNT Katropa but i have not bet for this game because like you said, Dyip is in dire need of a win that they might make this game a close one but turns out to be a blowout. Williams scoring 38 points but as usual he lacked support from the locals.

Next game is up between the Beermen and Converge, hoping here that SMB will cover that 6 points spread  .
