There's one big thing that I've come to notice regarding Trump about all of this. People forget that he is catering to what the Republican voters want to hear right now. The Republican voters think that the economy crumbling is the biggest thing to come from COVID, and they want the economy to open back up due to that. While Dem voters think that COVID is the biggest issue that our nation is facing at the moment.

I know I saw that somewhere, but I honestly just can't find the source right now. Probably pew research. I'll have to look around and edit this post once I find it.

I don't see any good coming from Biden taking a stand one way or the other at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't sure right now other than wanting to keep it on the table.  Could be a great bargaining chip a few months from now if he wins, or there could be some other reason that pushes him one way or the other.

There is no reason to keep such a dumb idea on the table. Denounce it or own it. And if you're threatening to change the number of justices on the court to use as a bargaining chip, that's literally undemocratic.

I'm kind of on the fence, but I don't think it's too extreme or would cross any line that hasn't been crossed already - I just think if Democrats sweep they should put serious effort into making a less divided country.

On the other hand, I think it's really silly to argue that the court should lean one way for basically a generation because the last judge happened to die in September instead of Dec or later.

We've had 9 justices for over a century, changing the balance of the court because you want to legislate policy from the bench is undemocratic. The judicial branch should be independent, and adding justices changes that. You seem to have this notion that if government can make changes that are constitutional, that it can't be classified as undemocratic. This isn't the case, example -- packing the court.

I don't think you should be on the fence about this. Court packing isn't a new idea, but people advocating now in 2020 for court packing are just having a knee jerk reaction. The world isn't ending because ACB is on the court. Abortion isn't going away either.

I think Biden’s tax and health care plans will run up the national debt to the point where Bitcoin could hit $200,000. Sure, we’ll be paying $20 for a gallon of milk at that point and most people won’t be able to afford rent without the government’s help, but ‘we’ will all be incredibly wealthy so that will be a problem for those who foolishly thought the government getting more involved in their lives was a good thing.

The Russia investigation was just the Obama administration spying on an opposition party campaign to try to prevent them from winning an election, and to harm the administration after the opposition candidate won the election.

Based on the publicly available information, there appears to be more than probable cause to support that the Biden family has broken public corruption laws. In other words, there is a predicate to open an investigation.

Running for President does not give someone a pass if they have previously broken the law.

The predicate was when a Trump campaign advisor told an Australian diplomat that Russia had politically damaging material on Clinton.  He was referring to the hacked DNC emails that were released on the same day as the 'grab them by the pussy' tapes.

If this was the Republican party of the 90's pre Clinton scandal, and then the rest of the GOP having their sex scandals, I'd agree with the assumption that this may do anything. If everything said at a bar were to be believed, investigations into everyone and their brother would be opened, and everyone would have a Nobel peace prize (not the participation kind that your side advocates for).

There are not any Chinese companies that need saving. They are all state sponsored entities whose purpose is to benefit the CCP and steal IP/technology from the West.

Trump also already made a fortune as a private citizen, he didn’t need to become president to get rich. Biden on the other hand left public service with multiple mansions after spending his career on a ~120k/year salary; a good salary but probably not enough to pay for the kind of lifestyle he is living.

Not sure what you're saying here (other than 'my side is good, yours is bad) I don't see what investigating claims made in bars has to do with the Nobel Prize and I think they only award the Nobel Peace Prize for one cause a year.  Sometimes it's shared between two people or organizations that contributed to the same cause, but it's not something they give out like candy.
