Can't quite read the p/n on the fan. YS Tech, 2.12A @ 12V looks ominous.

Lol dogie, love your work on this forum ... only you would ask that question!

@ Spondoolies, what noise db level will the SP20 run at? How 'home friendly' is it on the noise front?

Our estimation is less than 60db

Has the prototype been tested with the "improved asics"?
No, but we have the ASICs WAT graphs. We know their characteristic.

Not speculative at all. It's working piece of silicon with known and understood production tweak.

If you guys just sold from stock I would replace all 8th of my current miners today with the new SP20's. Looks like a winner, I look forward to seeing in the wild.

SP20: 1.7 TH/s, 2.5 BTC, ships late Oct, shipping cost not included.
S3: 1.8 TH/s (4x450), 2.3 BTC, ships late Sep, world-wide shipping cost included.

The S3 will mine nearly 1 BTC before the SP20 even ships. That puts the net price like this:

SP20: 2.5 BTC+shipping
S3: 1.3 BTC

The SP20 is twice as expensive!

Just ran the figures, and this won't even make half of its cost back before power costs more than the coins generated (at 0.15 cents per kWh). Literally four to five months of slight profit then nothing.

Very bad deal, even if you had solar power it would still take 10 months plus to get cost back, and even then best to switch off over night :p

Really gutted, I was hoping to buy one of these....thought it may sneak under $1000 or maybe around $800, seeing as no psu to increase the cost and shipping weight.

It's not confused, it's just bi-top-curious (it's just a typo, don't warry). Interesting, BTW, that the first top PSU got such a low watt limit. Try setting it to 1350 again in settings and see what will it learn - maybe it learned 1295 by mistake.

The SP20 is a retail level product introduced at a time when retail level mining is quickly becoming a thing of the past, except for those with free electricity or
those willing to take a haircut on the 'investment'. It'll probably be popular in countries with currency controls.

I have just noticed that you have SP35 for sale.
I have got an order for SP31 which I applied my compensation to but I have not transfered money yet.
Would it be possible to exchange this compensation for new code for SP35 and cancel the old order?

Also, it seems that SP35 consumes more power on average than SP31.

SP31:  5500 GH/S / 3000W = 1.833 GH/W
SP35   6000 GH/S / 3500W = 1.714 GH/W

Sp31 was a much better deal. In Sp-35 you have just 10% increase in hashing, but 15-16% increase in power.
Hashing is also guaranteed +/-10% instead of 5% for prior versions, so if your Sp-35 produces 5.401Th, it would be within parameters.
In addition, it would probably ship about a month after Sp-31, so another 20-30% of effective hashing rate off.

In fact, GB was by far the best deal and might be the equivalent of a ~7-9Th miner at the end of November.
