Getting so close, hope ya'll have been studying up ! lol.  Honestly I think I've done more studying this year than I ever have. I changed jobs and now working from home (at least most of the time) I've had a pretty easy first couple months with a lot of free time in between meetings and what not.  Pretty sure it'll be my worst year ever despite that  lol.

OK, everyone has joined so I set draft order and did a final setting run through.

I noticed "Determine waiver priority by" is set for continual rolling list which is yahoo default.

We had "Reverse order of standings" last year.

Should we vote on this setting?

I also changed "Lock Eliminated Teams" setting as it was set to no and there is no good reason for a team that has been eliminated from both consolation bracket and playoff bracket to be changing its roster.

Also we have 8 days until draft so we need to make sure everyone that is going to vote on the settings has done so so we can be certain all the settings are correct and we should have that done by a week before draft I would think.

So everyone take the time to look through the league settings and make sure they are what you want and if not bring it up right now.

I prefer ^vote "continual rolling" over "reverse order of standings"! People shouldn't be punished for having a good season/record...everyone should have a fair chance at getting the #1 waiver priority throughout the season.

I also changed "Lock Eliminated Teams" setting as it was set to no and there is no good reason for a team that has been eliminated from both consolation bracket and playoff bracket to be changing its roster.

Reverse order of standings would help those that get shafted in the draft or had some bad luck with injuries.  It would also make the league more competitive as time goes on, and maybe prevent any one from getting discouraged and quitting.  I'm okay either way, but I think I like reverse order of standings better.

I agree with this.  It's only going to apply to the last two weeks of the season anyway.

My thoughts are torn on this, on the one hand I think everyone should have a chance at the top waiver but on the other hand I was literally kept alive by the setting we had last year and it did make it much more fun for me being in last place most of the season. With my injuries last year I think I ended the season with only one player I drafted!

So I'm going to abstain on this vote unless we need a tie breaker at the end.

This is the description of the setting:

If waivers are enabled, all players dropped from a team's roster are immediately placed on a waiting period from zero to seven days to give all managers a chance to claim those players. Choose the waiver processing option best suited for your league.

In a normal waivers systems, waiver priority determines which manager's request is processed first.

    Continual rolling list: waiver claims are processed in waiver priority order and each successful claim moves a manager to the end of the waiver priority list
    Reverse order of standings: waiver claims are processed in reverse order of standings and successful claims do not affect waiver priority list
    Weekly rolling list based on standings: waiver claims are processed in reverse order of standings and each successful claim moves a manager to the end of the waiver priority list

I'm gonna recommend we set a time for settings votes and if no-one disagrees I think 4 days prior to draft should be a good cutoff.
That gives people almost 3 more days to get their votes in.

Difficult choice, I like the reverse order of standings better since it adds to the excitement of the league as a bad team has the chance of improving itself and get a surprise win or two, and while without a doubt it is a handicap for those at the top, whoever wins will win despite the handicap which will be an even greater display of FF skill.

However I will give my vote to the 'continual rolling list' as i think it is the setting which is the most fair out of the three.

I agree with this.  It's only going to apply to the last two weeks of the season anyway.

I believe it was established keeping a few things in mind, one being a have a draft same date and close to the same time. Also, how was the draft order established? Not sure I saw an answer for that. I second this.  Even going 80/20 so that anyone in the finals will profit.  I think the draft order we used the bitcoin blockchain but unsure.  I seen that was a discussion.  Interested in time and date as well so I can block off the time.  Is it not next Friday at 7pm est?
