Broken clock and all that... But I gotta admit BA's retirement looks quite bizarre, particularly the timing after Brady's un-retirement. Yeah makes absolutely no sense unless he was against Brady coming back which would be insane lol. With the nfc the weak division why wouldn't you want one more premium shot at a ring? Health, family, etc had to be something underneath it because strictly looking at it from a football perspective this is the worst premature retirement I've seen.

From what I gathered Arians would come in late and nix plays that Brady and the Offensive Coordinator had already spent time on the field working out.
You don't fuck with the mans work ethic or time left.
I can relate.

The only other explanation I can think of is that maybe he already got what he wanted out of football, while we know there are players which are there exclusively for the money, cough Rodgers cough, there are others that are chasing to win at least one ring before they retire, Arians was like that, even if he had 2 SB rings as an assistant coach he had yet to get one as the HC, so maybe once he got it he simply thought he had achieved what he wanted and it was the moment to retire from the HC position.

But if that was the plan, wouldn't it have made more sense to do so when Brady retired? Or even before, when the season ended basically. Now they got Brady back and perhaps a legitimate chance at SB again, and Arians says nah, I don't want it anymore. But maybe he'll un-retire in a month or so

Nah Bruce has gone through the football ringer. If everything was good, you have a very weak NFC and you are the one team with a once in a century qb, so there shot at a super bowl is like even odds. As a coach if ypu are in it this is the perfect situation. Something had to have happened. He didn't just up and retire after a Brady reversal like this. Sketch.

Broken clock and all that... But I gotta admit BA's retirement looks quite bizarre, particularly the timing after Brady's un-retirement. Agreed, it is head scratching. However, did Tom Brady and Bruce Arians have conflicts or disagreed much when Brady joined the team during that superbowl winning season? I never heard anything and have always thought that the Buccaneers was a team of players with similar minds and disposition.

There were in fact disagreements between Brady and Arians during the season they won the SB and Arians even criticized Brady in front of the media at least once, so who knows what went behind closed doors between those two. Maybe Arians retired because of a power struggle, after all when Brady was with the Patriots he had in Belichick someone which could keep him and the rest of the team in check, however with the Bucs who could keep Brady in check? Arians? Not really, If Arians told you to do something and Brady told you to do the opposite who would you listen to? In theory the players should listen to Arians, but the prestige of Brady is so great that maybe the players decided to follow Brady’s instructions over Arians, and even Arians talked about this saying that if he gave an order the players were not very enthusiastic about doing it but if Brady said the same thing to them then they will do it without thinking about it.

I just read the news today and it is so sad, obviously to make it to the NFL you need to have a lot of talent so I always thought Haskins only needed to study the game more and he could develop into a good QB, as without a doubt he had the physical attributes to become one, also with the retirement of Big Ben he had a good chance to be the starting QB of the Steelers as Rudolph has never been the answer at the position, and even if the Steelers picked a QB during the draft, the current draft class does not seem to be as good as the previous one so they will probably need one year to develop him and get him NFL ready, but I suppose this does not matter anymore. Rest in peace.

The Jaguars hype and marketing team is the best in the NFL hehehe. However, I agree that Travis Etienne has a chance to perform and help his team get a better result this year compared to 2021. It will not be that difficult hehe considering their 2021 standing. Ettiene was my prediction for rookie of the year during the draft. Jaguars could get a huge boost from 2021 class alone
Etienne should be the biggest help for next year’s team since he was the second-highest draft pick. He and running back James Robinson will make a formidable one-two punch. Etienne is also an excellent receiver out of the backfield. However, he still needs to improve in pass protection.Source https://sports.yahoo.com/jaguars-could-huge-boost-2021-005808968.htmlAlso, this news about corruption with the Washington Commanders. If proven guilty, what would happen to the owners? Will they be forced to leave their franchise? Since he was out all of last year it's almost like a bonus first round pick. If I were the jags knowing you have your young "hopefully" franchise quarterback and young rb I'd take a tackle with the first pick. Either Neal or icky would be a solid choice. Jags are honestly set up real nice. They splashed during FA, have young talent and a host of high draft picks. Trendy pick as the Longshot to win their division. Long shot but still.

Are you guys planning on watching the USFL season opener this weekend? New Jersey Generals @ Birmingham Stallions (7:30 pm, ET, April 16). Obviously not the real thing but still, some of us need their football fix. It's eight teams and a 10-week regular season, some cool stuff like body cams, drone cams, there will be also chip in the balls to measure first downs (no chains). I can't see myself watching this. You need to be insanely hard-core to watch this. Maybe the opener out of curiosity but after that not interested. It's like watching minor league baseball on TV between the San Antonio sandpipers vs the Tallahassee tornados. Just not anything to watch unless you have personal interest like knowing someone who is playing in the game. Don't look up those baseball teams they don't exist lol.

WTF! I thought it was cancelled this year??? Someone spark up a league and lets draft! USFL Draft: Every pick from Day 1In a unique twist, the USFL proceeded from round to round by position, beginning with quarterbacks in Round 1, followed by edge rushers and defensive ends in Rounds 2 through 4, offensive tackles in Rounds 5 through 7, cornerbacks in Rounds 8 through 11 and back to quarterbacks in Round 12. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/usfl/usfl-draft-every-pick-of-the-draft

If there are extra points for hitting a drone with the ball - I'm in Seriously though, I'm too cheap to pay to watch NFL, so sure as shit I ain't paying for this. I'd rather watch grass grow (literally; I reseeded my backyard yesterday and set up a camera and motion sensors to defend it from the damn turkeys LOL and I think that broadcast will be far more exciting than any summer "league").

Someone spark up a league and lets draft! Yahoo/ESPN aren't interested in or offering USFL fantasy draft leagues. The only place i could find is Alt Fantasy Sports, here's something like a guide on how to set up and run your league there. However, due to the smaller player pool, it has to be a 4 or 6-man league. Looking at the rosters, i only recognize a few names, so maybe we should pass, and besides, the real thing is just around the corner...less than 5 months left. Obviously not the real thing but still, some of us need their football fix. It's eight teams and a 10-week regular season, some cool stuff like body cams, drone cams, there will be also chip in the balls to measure first downs (no chains).

I'm in for the body-cam footage, hope it comes with sound, need those popping sounds. I mean, i don't have high expectations, it will be low-scoring games that's for sure, but it can't be worse than the 2020 XFL season (which was canceled one month in due to covid). Speaking of XFL, i don't recall much of the games, but other things were entertaining, such as seeing a guy in the replay booth with an xbox controller running through the play, or player interviews on the sidelines: I have no idea what to expect tbh. Mid-game interviews with coaches, DC calling plays on the comms and my favorite XBOX replay reviews

I would probably play in a USFL fantasy league, because I'm obsessed with fantasy, but I'm not sure it would be any fun tbh. There's a reason these leagues continue to fail over and over. Though I am hopeful that The Rock and his partners on this might have a shot at making a sort of "miner leagues" for the NFL, finally. In other news... "When you have a chance to really delve into the kind of future that you have in the digital world, I wanted the Dallas Cowboys to be a part of that future in any and every way we could," Jones said. "Over the course of our long-term partnership, our goal is to partner with the Dallas Cowboys on helping the world to understand cryptocurrency," co-owner and CEO Peter Smith said. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33731497/dallas-cowboys-seal-partnership-cryptocurrency-platform-blockchaincom
