There are speculations that Samuel Deebo might leave the 49ers, however there is no news on why he wants to leave or where he will be traded. Will it be as simple as he only want to leave California? If it is really his reason, I speculate that he might be moving somewhere in Texas hehehe. It might also be Nevada?

While we still don’t know the precise reason(s) for Samuel’s trade request, the fact that it’s gotten to this point counts as a failure, at some level, by the team. Unless the sole reason is he doesn’t want to be in San Francisco, the 49ers could have said or done something to keep the relationship from disintegrating to this point. And even if it’s as simple as Deebo not wanting to live and work in California and nothing more, his decision to disclose his desire to seek a trade suggests that there’s a level of animosity that shouldn’t exist between an NFL team and such an important player.

Source https://sports.yahoo.com/deebo-samuel-continues-intent-leaving-235904205.html

You will notice this is a growing trend in the NFL. More and more you see guys making a huge fuss about things they wouldn’t have in the past. A lot of it having to do with the franchise tag, that of course the players and their union hate.

I don’t see Deebo going anywhere. Just like how Kyler Murray who removed all his Cardinals photos from instagram isn’t going anywhere. This is how they get teams to meet them halfway, or give them what they want either the next year or when their contract comes due.

I reckon if Deebo wants to be traded to win a ring, I speculate Kyler Murray is making it appear he wants to be traded to get a bigger contract offer than his present contract hehehe. However, there were some teams where he was rumored to be traded. Las Vegas is not one of them which might be the most suitable for him if the Raiders wants to replace Derek Carr.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

However, there were some teams where he was rumored to be traded. Las Vegas is not one of them which might be the most suitable for him if the Raiders wants to replace Derek Carr.

Out of all the local reporters who cover the Niners, there's one in particular, Matt Maiocco who seems to have a bit more "insight" than most, especially when it suits the team.  Lately he's been saying (without saying) that Deebo will be traded, and very likely it'll be tonight.

He's also been peddling the idea that Deebo is having a personal issue, presumably with one of the staff or possibly ownership.  I was under the impression that he and Shanahan got along great, so I'm doubting it's with the coach.  Not sure what to make of it, but it could be a ploy to make it look like it's not all about the money.  The Niners aren't known for giving large contracts, and maybe he's not trusting that the team will pay him what he wants to earn.  Supposedly the parties never even got the point of making an offer.

In other news; The first four draft picks are defensive players.  What are the odds it'll be a fifth?

@DireWolfM14. Carolina Panthers and the New York Giants are the only teams that picked players for offense as of now. However, they are not quarterbacks, wide receivers or running backs. This draft is very different from the draft of last year. Last year was very exciting beginning the pick with Trevor Lawrence with other teams picking their own quarterbacks that might be the future of their franchises hehehe.

The Titans traded AJ Brown for the 18th pick and a third round pick just to pick another WR which could be as good as AJ Brown, it does not seem as a good trade to me, they did not got enough compensation for a player that has been tested already and we know he is really good for a player that just has that potential, I have not taken a look at their cap situation but they really have to be in a difficult spot if they had to let go of AJ Brown in exchange for nothing.

The Steelers just picked the first QB, lets see how this QB generation turns out, but last year I was wondering if we could get the top four picks as QBs and now the first one was selected until the 20th pick.

Edit: And of course the Patriots trade down just when it was their turn Angry, at least they still have a first round pick.

I first got the news that Marquise Brown was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, then shortly after I got an alert that AJ Brown was traded to the Eagles. I thought at first maybe they got the "Browns" mixed up lol.

First off, WOW. If I am a Ravens or Titans fan today I absolutely hate my teams ownership.  Marquise is Lamar Jackson's guy..major deep ball threat.  To add insult to injury the Ravens had two picks last night and neither were a WR...IDIOTS!

AJ Brown to the Titans, again, MORONS.  The Titans did draft a WR but there's nothing saying he's going to be any good. They just traded a top 5 WR in the start of his prime.  They are a win now team with Tannehill being a bit older and Derrick Henry likely have 2-4 prime years left.  What in the actual fuck were they thinking other than they don't want to spend money and don't truly care about winning.

Crazy draft... only 1 QB taken.  First time a QB was taken that late since 1997.  No RBs being drafted wasn't a huge surprise but it just goes to show how much they have become devalued in this new era.

I'm not sure the Titans could have given AJ Brown the contract he wanted and what he ultimately received from the Eagles, especially since Tannehill is due $38 mil this year.

You just can't pay everyone up, similar to Tyreek Hill and the Chiefs earlier this offseason.

Anyways, maybe it's just me but i'm not high on the Eagles at all, i don't care which receivers Hurts has available, he just can't throw...

<...> Marquise is Lamar Jackson's guy..major deep ball threat. <...>

It appears Marquise Brown asked to be traded:

source: https://twitter.com/sgellison/status/1520062607411056641
Quote
Marquise Brown confirms he asked for the trade and talked about it multiple times with Lamar Jackson, dating back more than a year.

Said he’s proud of the way he and the Ravens handled it internally. Said offensive system (run-first) just isn’t for him.

Good draft so far for the Jets, Giants, and Lions, love their picks.

The cap is without a doubt a problem for all teams, but my problem is the Titans are not willing to go all-in to get a SB, the last two SB winners TB and LAR are not really thinking long term, they are doing everything they can to win a SB now and they do not care if they have to suck for the next five years or more, and taking into account the AFC is way more stacked than the NFC the Titans need to go all-in as well if they want to have any chance of beating Mahomes, Allen or Burrow.

This is my feelings on this situation. I don’t know what their cap issues look like, but I can’t imagine it being that horrible that they can’t/couldn’t pay Browns asking price. The time to win is now. Tannehill nor Derrick Henry are getting any younger, and you don’t just replace a guy like AJ Brown..their time is now and with AJs departure their time may be never. I think it’s a big let down for Titan fans.

<...>the Titans need to go all-in as well if they want to have any chance of beating Mahomes, Allen or Burrow.

It's easier said than done.

Going all-in doesn't guarantee you anything, yeah it's appealing if you have someone like Brady on your team, but for the rest, it's unnecessary risk.

The SB champs Rams with all their moves and trades...barely pulled off a win against a second-year QB coming off a serious injury with a rookie WR and horrendous O-line.

Maybe the Titans didn't in fact miss their chance to make some moves that could have put them over the hump while Brown was on that friendly rookie contract, but strapping $25mil a year to a WR whose TDs basically halved last season (dudes like Callaway and Osborn finished with more TDs) and then trying to sign people is near damn impossible....don't get me wrong, i'm not saying the Titans won't miss Brown.

Btw, this is the Titans' first-round pick Treylon Burks, AJ Brown 2.0?  Grin

I think that's exactly what they were thinking.  Paying wide recievers monster money isn't where cap space makes sense.  Pass rushers, elite cornerbacks, elite OT, and obviously qb is where big money should go.  AJ is good no doubt but his production can be replaced much cheaper.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BrowAJ00.htm

I know stats don't say it all but he has never really gotten above sub 1000 yard seasons yet.

He disappears in games too easily still.

A window in the NFL with a chance to win it all is normally very short, so if you've got a team that has a chance at winning it all, then taking that risk is often worth it.  You hit the nail on the head with the Rams and Stafford...they took a risk that could seem unnecessary or too risky to many, but look how it worked out. They gave up A LOT to get Stafford, and took a ton of flack for doing so.  Look how it played out..  Of course there is no guarantee but a window to win it all comes so few and far between that you've got to take it when it presents itself.

Brown's TDs being down last year don't necessarily mean anything in comparison to how good he is or how good he will be going forward.  He's also sure as hell much better than Callaway and Osborn.  There are quite a few receivers who had more TDs then him last year..that doesn't mean they are better players. AJ Brown is a proven super star, their pick in the draft this year hasn't proven anything at the pro level.

You have to pay the price at times, even if it means over paying a bit.  The Titans made a big mistake in my mind.

You know I think I’ve seen previews of it before, some time ago, but I never have seen it yet. I of course know who Kurt Warner is and followed his career pretty closely, especially when he ended up with the Arizona Cardinals. I’ll have to check this movie out.

The Kurt Warner movie is a good one and yeah he wasn't supposed to step anywhere near an NFL football field but...he led the greatest show on turf to a superbowl.  Would have been 2 superbowl wins in 3 years if it wasn't for that rookie 6th round qb from New england.

Dude broke so many records when he got the starting gig in 1999.

Here's a funny tidbit, the Rams had him unprotected before the 1999 season the the NFL draft expansion.  Cleveland browns passed up on taking him from the Rams lol.  Good ol Cleveland and their never ending string of wrong decisions at qb.

The one thing they never seem to take into account is intelligence, a great Quarterback is always smart.

All the athleticism in the world won't save you if you cant think on your feet.

I've never seen a stat to quantify that.

And you won't.  Being able to instantly identify the defensive set is one of the biggest differentiators between a decent and a great quarterback.  Peyton manning was a master at it. He always had 3-4 plays in the huddle for his guys.  Would go to the line and call the play based on the set.  He was the most unathletic person to ever strap on pads, yet was the best qb I've seen in lifetime.  (Along with Brady but that's a given)

Have you seen the movie American Underdog? It is a true story about Kurt Warner. To be honest with you I did not know who he is before watching the movie, however, from this movie it appears that the L.A. Rams is not unfamiliar in taking that type of risk. They might also have taken a much bigger risk on Kurt Warner who was considered to be not in the level of the NFL.

I was at Candlestick Park for a Rams game, it must have been y2k because Warner was filling in for Trent Green.  That was back when they really were the lambs.  They got slaughtered and Warner looked like a backup to a backup.  I wasn't following his career back in those days, but I had no choice latter on since his most productive years were as a division rival.  First with the Rams, then the Cardinals.

Peyton Manning is probably the smartest man to have ever played the position.  There have been others, such as Steve Young who also had amazing athletic abilities.  But I think what sets the GOATS apart from the mere grates is the ability to process information rapidly, and have the ability to execute the solution accurately.  Tom Brady, obviously, Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw are among those that I would say have been bestowed with superprocessors.  I think Patrick Mahomes and Russell Wilson both have the tangible and intangible abilities, but one is just getting started, and the other has been running for his life his entire career.

Agreed. Agreed with most of what y’all are saying. Peyton Manning absolutely changed the game of football. Never before had there been a quarterback who called plays at the line like he did. He was an absolute joy to watch every week. “Omaha” lol.

You’re right, Wilson has always had poor line protection. He is smart though for sure. Same for Mahomes but his big weapon is his insane athleticism.

This is Mitchell Trubiskys big problem. He’s got skills, but he’s dumber than a box of rocks..otherwise..man.
