I think Dak Prescott will probably have a pretty decent year if he remains healthy. His upside potential is really high but he seems to never capitalize on it for a lengthy period of time, always coming up short. It certainly doesn’t help that he lost Amari Cooper to the browns. CeeDee Lamb is pretty good but losing that 1-2 punch going to hurt.


Normally people hold drafts in the last week or two in august. The league was a standard league, which is far more popular in than salary cap leagues.

I think Dak Prescott will probably have a pretty decent year if he remains healthy. His upside potential is really high but he seems to never capitalize on it for a lengthy period of time, always coming up short. It certainly doesn’t help that he lost Amari Cooper to the browns. CeeDee Lamb is pretty good but losing that 1-2 punch going to hurt.

Dak will have a very good year, statistically speaking, and so will the 17 opposing offenses he faces.  The Cowgirlies will finish 10 and 7, and win the East.  I think that's a safe prediction.

Those are pretty helpful to get a sense of how things will go , but annoyingly a lot of people will just bail on the mocks a couple rounds in so can be a while before you can find one where everyone stays for the majority of it.

No, I haven't messed around with those mock-ups this year, at least not yet.  I might do so later.  I do find it annoying when people bail after a couple of rounds.  I don't recall it being common last year when I messed around, but that was probably because I waited until the last week before the real draft, lol.

Yeah I usually run through a couple just to see how I will adjust if my main targets each round aren't around.  The mocks get pretty close to the real thing when you break it down outside of a couple zingers people throw in.  I like seeing what new guys pop in the higher rounds to get a Guage on rookies too.  They are always the toughest to judge.

Both Jimmy and Baker aren't that great, and so teams knew other teams wouldn't rush to go get either and that they have time to negotiate the selling team down.  Jimmy may start, he may not.  A lot of "experts" predict that Lance will be their day 1 starter.  The other thing is he may become more valuable as the season goes on.  If a good and likely playoff bound team has a QB go down, then Jimmy G becomes pretty valuable as a solid game manager that could potentially get them to the SB as he won't help them win it as much as he won't likely help them lose it.

I agree with this, the 9ers are ready to move on from Garoppolo, and more importantly, so are the fans.  The trouble is it's just like ChiBitCTy said; Garoppolo isn't a great quarterback, but he's far from a bad one either.  He wins games, look no further than his record as a starter with 49ers for proof.  It's the must-win games and moments when he seems to have trouble.  I won't blame all that on Garoppolo, it's largely the coach's responsibility to get his players in the right mind set.  It's been obvious to Garoppolo and the fans that Shanahan doesn't trust him, and that's Garoppolo's biggest problem.

Look at the plays that Shanahan called during the fourth quarter of their Super Bowl loss, Shanahan wasn't playing Garoppolo to win, he was playing not-to-lose.

Haha oh trust me I’ve also bailed on plenty of mock drafts, been doing them for the past 13 years of playing. But mostly I only bail by mistake, like something came up unexpected or if there’s already a bunch of people who’ve bailed, then I normally will leave.

Yes.  I'm not sure that Lance will be the second coming of Montana and spark a new 49er dynasty, but if that's going to happen it has to start with Shanahan putting ALL his trust in Lance.  There's no other way to get there from here.

Jimmy G just isn’t that good. He’s a solid game manager, but there’s a reason they drafted Lance as high as they did. Yea he got them to the super bowl but it was much more so because of the team around him and not because of him. His upside is just very limited. Alex Smith is a former QB who’s a good comparable comp. The Chiefs moved on from him too because of Mahomes (look how that turned out).

& no, Zach Wilson is absolutely NOT a good bet for MVP. If whomever said that was being serious, wow lol. (Likely they were not).
