Okay, thank you. I honestly have not explored the whole Yahoo fantasy app. I also should stop talking about my planned waiver pick ups next time until I have the player in my team hehehe. My next opponent for week 3 is a strong one with the new MVP Josh Allen, Kupp and Saquon. I will certainly need some luck from the waiver wire hehehehe.
If you check the image suchmoon posted above you see the column that says "Waiver" with numbers between 1-10, this is the order in which players can get picked so if you are 1 you have priority over everyone else even if you all want the same player and so on and so forth and this changes each week as people pick up players.

Lance and Shanahan want to play a very physical form of football and the fact he got injured so soon after a play which looks like the hundreds we see every week should be a cause of concern, maybe the kid was unlucky but I do not like what it could mean for the long term prospects of Lance's carrer.
Niners will trade Lance to Atlanta for a high draft pick, and draft a new QB. Just throwing it out there for a chance to say "I told you so" if any of this happens. I agree with this. We cannot be certain where he might be traded, however. Who would be willing to trade for an overhyped, unimpressive rookie and now a presently broken quarterback? In any case, when do we know if the players we picked from the waiver wire are approved or disapproved? Does the commissioner have control on who gets the player if more than one fantasy player picked the same player? Going to have to disagree with this. Jimmy G is not a long term option. They drafted Lance for a reason and they have not seen what they have in him yet. The Falcons are in desperate need for a QB and the upcoming draft has a decent crop of them, so as long as the Falcons suck like most expect them to, they will be drafting one. Lance got hurt just like a lot of other players have throughout time, it really doesn't say anything about his toughness, injuries happen to even the most fit and durable players.

The problem is, that also doesn't say anything about the team's loyalty to the unproven QB. Granted Lance doesn't have a huge contract impacting the cap, so they'll probably keep him unless they have a very compelling offer, but I'm thinking that if a good opportunity comes up (draft or trade) they'd dump him in a heartbeat. Atlanta was just the first horrible QB-less team that came to my mind, I'm sure there are other options, maybe Panthers or Texans But TBH I was just making fun of niners "blockbuster" trade to get Lance, and the QB-heavy 2021 draft in general. None of them set the NFL on fire, albeit most ended in shitty teams by design and it's still early.

I'm not so sure that's the case, actually. Garoppolo is only 30 years old which puts him about middle aged for a typical QB lifespan. Most of the greats didn't start really coming into their own until their late twenties, early thirties. Remember how Green Bay drafting Jordan Love seemed to light a fire under Rodgers' ass? Maybe Shanahan didn't plan it that way, but imagine yourself in Garoppolo's predicament; losing your job to youngster would very likely motivate you to become the best version of yourself. If nothing else, Garoppolo now knows he has nothing to lose when it comes to his longevity with the Niners, and can only cause management to reconsider their position. Maybe he'll lose those 4th quarter jitters now that he knows only by taking risks can he overcome the perceptions of his limitations. Admittedly, Garoppolo and Rodgers have starkly different personalities, so all the above may be nothing but wishful thinking. But, I do wish Garoppolo would succeed, he's proven to be a winning quarterback, and other than his fragility and 4th quarter/Big Game jitters, there's really very little to complain about. The Falcons are in desperate need for a QB and the upcoming draft has a decent crop of them, so as long as the Falcons suck like most expect them to, they will be drafting one.
I haven't really paid much attention to the Falcons since they're no longer in the NFC West (remember that shit?), so I wasn't aware of their QB blues. Unfortunately there aren't a bunch of good backups warming benches these days, so it looks like they're better served playing for the draft.
The same could be said about any team in the league. Teams regularly ask productive players to restructure their salaries "for the benefit of the team" and if a player chooses not to, he's criticized as being out for himself. Brady did that for decades in NE, but the minute he decided to get a semi-retirement job on the beach, decades of compromising were forgotten. If the team decides to move on from a player it's the opposite, and justified simply by saying things like "it was a necessary business decision." It's a sad commentary about the game, but that's the reality of it. Atlanta was just the first horrible QB-less team that came to my mind, I'm sure there are other options, maybe Panthers or Texans I doubt any team will trade for the kid, in all honesty. He didn't have a lot of playing time in college, and so far he hasn't shown us much of his abilities in the NFL. Now that he's injured, I really can't see any team offering a whole lot for him, and considering what the Niners have invested I don't see them settling for a low-ball offer. But TBH I was just making fun of niners "blockbuster" trade to get Lance, and the QB-heavy 2021 draft in general. None of them set the NFL on fire, albeit most ended in shitty teams by design and it's still early.
That's the double edges sword of being an early draft pick; odds are you'll end up going to the shittiest team in the league (unless you're Eli Manning.) But the Niners deserve all the criticism they're getting for giving up so much for Lance. To this day I don't believe he was Shanahan's first choice, despite the team's claims that Lance was the plan all along. I think Mack Jones would have been a better choice, or they should have traded back once they realized they were misled by Robert Salah. All indication were that Shanahan believed Salah wasn't going for a QB, and Kyle Mack would still have been available for the third pick. Most people around here believe that's the only reason Shanahan traded the farm for that third pick in the first place. Knowing Shanahan, he probably tried to trade back once he realized Mack was taken, but wasn't getting the offers he wanted. I can just imagine him feeling like a shitcoin bag-holder after a dump once Salah took Mack. In fact, I felt the same way.

Looking at the remaining Thursday Night Football slate, there aren't many great matchups with the exception of maybe one or two games, Chargers/Chiefs was probably the best one. How do you go from watching Mahomes and Herbert to Trubisky and Brissett? I mean, these two tonight are both in the bottom half of practically every QB stat category: completion %, YPG, QBR, etc. PIT/CLE in Week 3 has the lowest O/U line at 37.5....i decided to take the alt U39.5, just in case. Shit QBs playing on a short week with forecasted bad weather (wind gusts), i think we could see plenty of ground game...Chubb/Hunt could have a field day. Last week, someone asked where they can watch TNF games...if i'm not mistaken Amazon streams them for free on their Twitch channel still.

I'm rooting for you, hopefully the Browns can hold onto the current score. Only six minutes left, lets go D! I'm about to lose my bet one way or the other: That wind is crazy, you can see the flags on the goalposts mostly horizontal. It was funny watching that first field goal attempt start out looking perfect, then take a right turn.

Cooper is having / had a great game for the Jerkers... I was rooting for the Browns until I discovered he was on my opponent's team, now I'm rooting for Pittsburgh to keep the ball for the rest of the game.
Trubisky is boring AF, tho.
Actually already looking forward to next Thursday's game as I'll finally be able to watch Tagovailoa in action.

@nutildah Amari Cooper's good performances are quite unexpected considering that they are playing Jacoby Brissett, a substitute quarterback for the massage man hehehe. I hope having Massage Watson on the field after the suspension on week 6 will not destroy how the Browns play. He has not played for more than 1 season.

yeah for real, Cooper threw our matchup in your favor, and I hope Brissett has some strong performances in the next few weeks to prove he is ready to oust Massage Man from the starting QB position.

Hehehe similar to much of these fantasy matchups it was luck. Steelers defense was not very good. Amari Cooper would never have a similar performance vs. the Bills' defense. In any case, I was going to risk using Atlanta defense if Cooper did not give me 2x the fantasy points projected. However, I might not be that lucky. McCaffrey's Q might be more serious than what is being reported. If I knew he has a high percentage of being injured in a season, I would have picked Justin Taylor. He's one of the biggest first-round injury worries heading into 2022. According to the Injury Predictor tool, McCaffrey has been injured six times since college (ankle, hamstring, glute, shoulder, ankle, hip), and he has an 84-percent chance of injury this year (10.2-percent chance in each game). Overall, he’s projected to miss 2.2 games, but clearly the risk is there for more.Source https://www.sportingnews.com/us/fantasy/news/fantasy-busts-draft-sharks-injury-predictor/t8uxbmzx9d8ydqobza0ofs02

Cooper was in fact on my radar but I decided to stay away from him because I thought that he was on a boom or bust situation in which he could do very well or he could do horribly. I like Cooper, but I tend to agree with this. I had the Cowboys version of Cooper on my Fantasy team last year, and he was hit or miss. Being that he was one of Dak's favorite targets and considering the Cowboys aggressive air assault, I expected more from him. Most of the time, however he performed as expected. I still think he's a valuable addition to any fantasy team, but keep an eye on his opponents. He'll perform better against undersized corners and safeties, and some teams (Giants) will just lock him up.

<...> Well, you're up against the wire, there. I'm rooting for you, hopefully the Browns can hold onto the current score. Only six minutes left, lets go D! I'm about to lose my bet one way or the other: <...> It was Thursday, too early in the week to have winning bets...lol Seriously, what was Tomlin thinking on that 4th and 1 while in the redzone needing a touchdown? Perhaps he saw he had no chance to win with Trubisky and chose to sink all the under bettors with him? I'm not sure i fully understand his decision, he should have put the offense back on the field, following the penalty, and tried to keep the drive alive and possibly score. I would've gone for it even at 4th and 5... Tomlin had some bad decisions last week as well, an insanely lucky win over the Bengals. Steelers deserved to be 0-3 to start the season. I don't see them doing any better with Trubisky at the helm, Tomlin being overly conservative, and last but not least no TJ Watt. Anyways, i'm curious how many matchups that final play of the game will sway, Najee Harris with the fumble, Claypool also lost yards, Browns D/ST scored...

0-1 already on the week lol. Had the under at 37.5 and of course it ticked slightly over. Going out with a bold pick...Giants favored by one against the cowboys. Monday night game with no dak. I like the giants chances of going 3-0 here. It will be a fake 3-0 but still. That's my LOCK OF THE WEEK! OK maybe there's a little fan Homer in that pick but whatever.

I don't often find myself second guessing Tomlin's decisions, usually that guy is Chess master when it comes to in-game strategies. I understood settling for a field goal when it was 4th and 5+, but after the 12-man penalty reduced it to 4th a short yard? The Steelers were down 9 points at the time, and we all know the odds of getting an on-sides kick is slim to none. The announcers were questioning it a bit too, but decided that going for the sure points was the right call. I disagree. It was difficult for his team to get so far down the field, and that possession was one of the few time there got so close to the red zone. It spoke more about how much (or little) the trusts Trubisky.

So might as well go for the field goal there, you still need the ball back no matter what. I don't think it was a terrible call. Odds were completely stacked at that point you at least want to try to make it a 1 score game.

I will be watching the Dolphins versus the Bills more closely. Mike McDaniels have 2 wins versus 2 good football teams. This game versus the Bills might make him something like a playbook genius if Dolphins win.

Thanks Man, He was on waivers and I wasn't sure what time it would be settled (put in the claim 2 days ago) and whether or not I'd get him (I've been known to sleep in past kickoff sunday afternoon.) so I had another kicker in just in case and it looks like the waivers were settled right after I crashed. There really should be an option to put a claim auto in the lineup in the waivers section. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE, Hoping for a FIRST win today against Dires Brutal Team!
