My predictions for this weekend french league matches (league 1).
Marseille Vs Brest:2-0
Lille Vs Troyes:2-0
Lens Vs PSG:1-3
Saint Etienne Vs Rennes 2-2
Lorient vs Nantes 1-0
Monaco Vs Metz 1-1
Montpellier Vs Clermont foot:2-0
Reims Vs Angers 0-0
Nice Vs Strasbourg :2-1
Bordeaux Vs Lyon 1-2.

You miss out prediction with PSG because they almost loss faced with Lens before last goal from Wijnaldum, Still not any contribution from Lionel Messi how to make goal and assist for PSG how ever two match after he got Ballon D'or he looks not has top performance and always failed to make PSG win, but still lucky PSG left many points from runner up position and now still safety as first position standing.

But seriously, Ligue 1 is over already. PSG is 12 points ahead of the second place even though they don't play good soccer in the Ligue, which is partially a shame. I have said that before but I think it is tough for all those superstars to motivate themselves to give their best in those games. This might be the little bit of focus that is missing when you have to play the biggest games under biggest pressure in the Champions League. For the top Premier League clubs they have a big game almost every single weekend. I guess that is an advantage to stay focussed.

I completely agree, given that PSG's main competitors are in crisis, there is practically no point in watching this league. This is, on the one hand, the advantage of PSG (they can play in a relaxed mode in the domestic championship if there is a serious game ahead in the Champions League), but on the other hand, they experience a constant problem with motivation and in fact degrade without having constant strong rivals.

And this is exactly what I mean about the motivational issues they have. Damn if you look at the squad they have on paper and I would tell you I am going to bet on a draw against Lens, you would ask me whether I am kidding you. But PSG is just not playing well in the Ligue 1, it hurts my eyes to even watch a summary sometimes. Their quality is just so good that even when they play bad they usually win.

Marseille is unpredictable in this season like many other top ranked French clubs having wired season without any serious threat to star-studded PSG this defeat bring them down in confidence even they are very good in Europa League like few others Lyon and Lille but in local league all teams doing very poor.

Currently, Brest is having very good time with 5 out of 5 wins they are improving their rank and having some good sixth spot, but we can't predict as what's going to happen in next few weeks like we have with many other clubs no quality and poor performance giving them shocking defeats and poor run for this year's second and third spot with PSG alone handling to 1st spot without any challenge from any club in this season.

Rennes are really having a great season this time around, and currently they are winning four goals to nil against  St Etienne . By the way, this is a big result too as they are not just winning away from home but this also means they get to leap frog Marseille to go second temporary depending on how the results come later this afternoon from the teams yet to play.

well, I did very well not having made any bets on these games, there were a lot of surprises:

Marseille 1 : 2 Brest

Marseille lose

Lille 2 : 1 Troyes

Lille won, but honestly this league is no longer competitive because PSG is very far from any opponents

Lens 1 : 1 Paris Saint-Germain

well even if PSG lost it wouldn't be of great importance because they are very far from their opponents

As you could see PSG dropped 2 points against Lens but when you see its direct rival OM which was in the 2nd place with 1 match less than PSG, they simply lost their game against Brest... OM was able to reduce the difference to 7 points but they failed.
As I said before it isn't about how good is PSG but about how bad is its opponents, so the result is PSG dominating the league simply.

What do you think about the PSG coach, the team's performance drops when the best players are with them. PSG's game strategy is very easy to read by the opposing team, only by pressing high will PSG have difficulty playing longer with the ball. Lens didn't let PSG get many chances and control the game. The defense area scheme with man to man guard managed to make it difficult for PSG to develop the game. Just look at the previous few matches, all the teams against PSG implemented this scheme and managed to hold PSG to a draw until the end of the match.

I would have assumed that Brest would not be able to pull something like this off. It also shows that how quickly you could recover in league system. I mean you have 10 bad games but then you have 5 game streak and you are at top 7 suddenly. 5 points out of 10 games, versus 15 points in 5 games. It is really cool to see teams recover, same happened with Arsenal in EPL as well, they were at the bottom for a while if I am not wrong and now they are fighting for the top, or at least UCL entry position.

These are the things that usually show that team is actually good, they just had bad stretch, it wasn't some roster change or new superstar signing or something like that which resulted with it, same team but different approach and different mindset could turn a team from nearly bottom to nearly top, which is wonderful to see and optimistic for teams at the bottom as well.

In current season two teams are doing very good even they have no resources as few teams enjoying in French League but their current results giving very good impression in this season and their current form is also very good even both having not serious challenge for leaders PSG but if they are able to perform like this then surely these both can give shocking results in this season's end.

Rennes and Brest both are doing very good with very impressive results and now having second and 10th spot when some good teams are badly struggling to stay at top and having very serious threats from them Marseille, Monaco, Lyon and Lille all having very poor run let's watch how they are going to end because it's very important for having some entertaining end of this season when PSG alone standing for champion title.

I was one of those people who got caught up in this match and I get annoyed with things like this.
but indeed this is football regardless of how good the team is and how good the players in it are but still it relies on 11 players on the field with high consistency for 90 minutes.
and PSG I feel they are too easy to read in terms of tactics and formation.
Does Poche really want to be sacked because of rumors with MU?
or indeed Poche is already very difficult in determining the formation because there are many players with star labels there

Unfortunately, it is difficult for me to judge him as a coach due to the fact that I know quite a little about him and his views on football. Because of this, I can’t compare what he wants with what comes out and I’m not even sure that he manages the team 100%. It's quite difficult when your team is a bunch of wayward stars. If you look at the names, the team is performing worse than it should, but I cannot blame only the coach for this because I do not know the whole inner workings of PSG.
As for the game schemes, I would not say that it gives you any advantage if you know the opponent's game scheme (at least if we are talking about the top teams) - everyone knew how Barcelona would play (in its starry times), but for that it took several years to come up with an effective counter-scheme, and even when this scheme became 100% known, only a few teams could implement it.

I wouldn't go that far. If they make it to the final it would be dumb to believe that they have no chance to also win it. It just became obvious a couple of times in close games that they lost their nerves completely. The very best example was the 6 to 1 against Barcelona when they won the first leg 4 to 0...

After previously Lyon suffered a defeat against Reims, this should motivate them to win the match against Bordeaux which is a weak team.
Even though Bordeaux only won two wins in 17 matches, Lyon should have beaten Bordeaux easily. But the match ended in a draw, even
though throughout the match Lyon dominated, even Lyon's percentage of possession was far superior to 71%. But Lyon have a defense that is
quite fragile, twice Lyon had taken the lead and twice also Bordeaux managed to equalize. It's a bad result for Lyon, I hope Lyon can show
a much better performance in the next game. Although I doubt Lyon will beat Lille in the next match, because Lille's performance has started
to improve in the last 5 matches and is unbeaten, even the last two matches Lille won in a row.

this was a very irritating game, I confess that I stopped watching after 70 minutes, I lost my multi because those from Olympique Lyonnais couldn't win, predicting results for this league is increasingly difficult for me. maybe it's good for me to take some vacations and focus on other leagues

After previously Lyon suffered a defeat against Reims, this should motivate them to win the match against Bordeaux which is a weak team.
