My guess was Lyon would win. But throughout the entire match we saw the dominance of Rennes ’players. Rennes' players have made a total of 25 shots. On the other hand, Lyon has done only 6. I didn't expect this type of gameplay from Lyon. Tey only focused on ball possession, didn't make any good attack.

It's too much possession but never shoot I don't know why Lyon didn't do that if he wanted a good gap, of course Rennes started using it with a good attack but from that shot Rennes was able to score 4 goals that too Lyon were able only in last minute.

Still in the competition Lyon there is still hope to advance to the top 4 of the French league but it is not that easy but Lyon's performances are currently not in good form.

For the first time after many years, Lyon got a terrible result against Rennes away in the Ligue 1. Actually they had the same points before this match. But it was very disappointing to see Lyon playing this bad. Rennes played one of their best matches recently and dominated the match too. They got a win by 4-1 which must be very satisfying for them. Lyon should be able to make up for this embarrassing loss.

Lyon had a bad defence in this match, and that contributed mainly to them conceding 4 goals.  However, it was a home match for Rennes and I never expected them to lose. They probably put up an impressive performance in the match. The ball possession was quite balanced, but Rennes had a total of 12 shot on target. Also, I noticed that Rennes didn't lost in any of their last 5 matches in Ligue 1, and are presently at the 5th position on the standings. While Lyon next match is against Marseille, which will be tough for them. Although, if they are well prepared, and also work on their defense, they xan end up winning the match.

I mean Marseille and Nice of course. Both of them surprised me by getting very poor results. By the way, Lens are still doing great and they are at the 2nd place after winning against Troyes by 4-1. They are the most remarkable team of this season I think. Maybe they won't be able to get very close to PSG because of their huge performance. But they still can end the season at the 2nd place which could be beyond their expectations for this season.

they are too busy playing the ball and make unnecessary mistakes that make the rennes players easily enter the ball,
on the other hand their consolation goal also came from a penalty and this did not change any result.

PSG still plays decent enough. Once again Neymar and Mbappe showed the world why they are the best duo in the world, sure there could be teams that you could say better overall but I do not think there is any one two punch that is as effective as these two in the world right now. They kept the difference at 10 points, and we are at 13th game right now, that isn't a difference that can't be covered but it looks like it is something herculian to manage to do something like that against PSG.

I get that last year is still fresh in memory and everyone would love to see David beat Goliath that is in our nature but this isn't it, Bayern seems great too so I doubt that would happen. All in all I would have to say that all those other teams like Rennes putting their best into the games only do it so that they could get some cash from champions league entrance and nothing more.

Its first half statistics war really terrifying, 13 goal attempts for rennes and 8 shots on goal while Lyon wasn't able to make any shot, its rare to see such numbers in a football match even in the matches where a strong club play against a weak club

They have won against strong PSG and Lyon. If they can maintain the continuity of such performance and if the players are in form then I think they can easily rise to the second place in the points table. The Rennes vs Lyon game two days ago was a disaster for Lyon surely. Because I bet that they also weren't expecting to lose this game by far like 4-1. In fact, Rennes and Lyon had similar level of performances before this game. And they had even the same points too. But this wasn't too much important for Rennes seemingly as they simply finished Lyon. They outperformed their opponent and got a very deserved win.

With some good number of injuries and having on and off field issues, still he is one of great footballer of this generation because he is still very young and have some long career if any serious injury or problem not happen to this star player.

Even he is much behind in very long scorers in soccer history, but his achievements are much better than his goals as Santos won their first title after nearly 3 decades and also having very good record with Barcelona and now doing good for PSG. Once he was the most expensive footballer in history of this game, many good things just with this very good quality player and many to follow.

He is criticized a lot but eventually he will have to improve his contributions, as it's quite nervous for him and his club to see that his statistics (goals plus assists) are going down every season, not going up. He is still relatively young enough to have loads of goals and other contributions in him. But I also hate to point fingers because he is more importantly less "frustrating Neymar" as before, less diving and complaining and more running back to defend.

They need to get some titles this season, considering their current squad is very supportive of it all for a success or achievement to get some trophies. If PSG only get the Ligue 1 title this season then I think the problem will be with their coach. Because of how it is, the coach cannot utilize his skills and some great strategies to achieve victory in his every game with a great squad.

Neymar scored again after so long his goal tap stopped. While at other times Messi has not scored in the few games he has played, but he did manage to do so for the Champions League. PSG can shift their temporary focus to the Champions League, but they can't miss a good moment to stay top of the table by a large point difference.

The Champions League is very competitive, there are several Premier League and Bundesliga team that can currently prevent PSG from going any further into the next stage. But because the players that PSG currently have can support, then there's nothing wrong with hoping they can get to the final.
