PSG has enough players that they could actually do something that they would not need Messi or Neymar honestly because they have good enough players. I mean Mbappe is by far the best player in that situation.. However they have Di Maria and Icardi as well which means that they have a great roster without Messi or Neymar as well.

Mbappe is young and still can grow more. Because he is young, he can recover fastly after matches. Messi is already old and he now playing with his experience and skills that are sharpened in many years of his career. Neymar is no longer young and with his unprofessional style, he won't be able to take care of his body so well.

Di Maria is a player from the same generation of Messi and Neymar. Icardi is not given a good position in PSG and even he is a good player, he needs time and real matches, not training and on the bench.

I doubt PSG will go further in the Champions League this season if the coach cant find the best formula for his team. PSG's last few match in Ligue 1 have been very difficult because the players have struggled to score goals. It's not about how many star players you have, but how effective they are at creating chance and scoring goals. Messi only scored 1 goal for PSG, that too in the Champions League, when he return to France I hope he score more with Neymar and also Mbappe.

There is enough time for Ramos to recover from his injury and enough time for Ramos and Messi to adapt to PSG tactics and players there. PSG can wait them for Champions League but you are right, Pochettino must find a good tactic and positions to use Ramos and Messi.

I don't know what's going on in PSG's back line at the moment, for sure when in their game they seem to lack communication between defenders, besides that they seem to be too easy to let go of opposing players both in marking and duels.
should be with the condition of the players who are all adequate and can be said to be tough defenders for big teams they should be better.

I am not sure what is the big surprise to see PSG winning 9 matches, they played well and won the games and they only lost one match and a single draw. The second place Lens drew 3 matches and lost 2 matches and today if Marseille wins the match against Lorient which they probably win then they will be in the second position.

Honestly PSG played "okay" at best. Just because they won the game doesn't mean that they were the better team, we are talking about clear difference between the levels of two teams and this should have been an easier game for them. I understand that it doesn't look like a proper situation and there were many players missing the game so that is why PSG was weaker this game.

However even with those players missing, the players that played in the game still 10x better than the players on Angers, or at least on paper that is. When you watched the game, it wasn't like PSG was clearly better, it was more like they were close levels teams when in fact we know that they are not even remotely close. Hell put Mbappe on Angers and it would be barely close, I would still favor PSG a little bit more, they would be head to head in that case with PSG only a slight edge, but we know Mbappe is at PSG so it was a weird game for PSG to have so much trouble.

Recently Marseille are going down in quality just because of this now they are much behind Leaders PSG even they have one match in hand, but gape is too big for them and their Europa form is also very poor in last match they held by Turkish club at home which is also serious issue for them. Currently, PSG is doing some good but with other teams they are much ahead in quality which is just because of big spending in transfers.

French League biggest issue is money which is not coming like PSG so if they have this solution then surely with some good quality players they can give some more tough competition to PSG but right now it's not possible for any other French club.

Ligue 1 has been the PSG-only show for quite a while except for the last season which was a close one. PSG is already 9 points ahead of Lens who is in 2nd place. Considering the budget they have to spend this had to be normal for them to dominate the league every season. This is what I hate about footballs, clubs are literally buying trophies with money. PSG might have more money than every french club combined. So unless there is a balance in the spending in the league, you cannot expect other teams to win the league.

The previous season PSG was fully focused on the Champions League. They may have thought that they could win the League 1 title without any competition. But Lille has shown tremendous performance in the previous season as well as PSG has lost points in several matches towards the end of the season. PSG would have won the title if they had not lost points against a weaker team at the end of the season.

That's what PSG needs to pay attention to. currently, they are leading to stay on top. but when the half of the season ends they are no longer focused on the League and are trying to set targets in the Champions League.

PSG is far ahead in the title fight now. PSG is 9 points ahead of the second lens in the points table. However, after PSG, Marseille is having the most stable performance this season.
