I feel like there are so many teams in ligue 1 that did well enough for a few seasons but didn't capitalize on it and didn't get any better. Nice is strong, and I doubt Montpellier will be able to win against Nice. Even though Nice still had a bad performance, we should also be concerned about the quality of the game. Nice may able to get three points from the upcoming match.
It was performing so badly in the last 5 matches but quality of squad can make differ for the result against montpellier. Montpellier was not team. Im still picking nice for this match even though it has horrible performance in the last 5 games.

Nice just couldn't get a single win in the league for five weeks.    Three of them are losses. They immediately need to improve their form somehow. The Montpellier game can be seen as an opportunity to put an end to this bad streak but I still have doubts though. Because Nice couldn't even win a home game against Clermont recently. This should also explain their current condition.

Nice have literally scored less number of goals than the number of games they have played so far (23 goals in 24 games). If the statistics doesn't change positively for them I think they might not even qualify for any tournament.    I hope Nice manage to win today.

I understand what you are saying because it seems that you are trying to compare Brest maybe with Ludogorets, Astana, Bate or Maribor at the moment, if we look between Brest the four teams I mentioned are the leading teams in their respective leagues and even they have qualified for the Champions League several times even though they only reached the round of 16,  While Brest, who the previous season was a team that was often near the relegation zone in Ligue 1, it seems only lucky for them this season to be ranked second because of the inconsistent performances of their rivals in Ligue 1.
