Well, Nice performed again with bad performance, they suffered a defeat against lower middle class team like Montpellier and this is the result of the match for the umpteenth time which has made many people really doubt Nice.
They performed very well at the start of the season and from some of the previous bad results I thought they could learn and try to perform better but in reality everything is the same and shows that Nice is not team that can be used as favorite.
Nice stability and consistency have been completely destroyed after entering the middle of the season until now and it seems like there will be an opportunity for Nice to face conditions where the decline in standings ranking becomes even worse.
They made mistake which gave Montpellier 1 goal lead and after two minutes Nice were able to put up resistance which made it 1-1 draw but in the end they made another mistake which resulted in penalty.
1 - 2 result lasted until the match was over and this defeat occurred because of the mistake of the Nice players who acted too immeasurably, I think mistakes like this must really be corrected because they are very detrimental to the team if they happen again.

But they will have much more difficult match, namely in the French Cup quarter-finals where they will meet PSG, this will be bad match and could knock Nice out of the competition.

Currently there is no team that is really capable of providing significant competition against PSG and for Nice themselves, somehow they are doing it but they really can't be relied on because they often do unexpected things that make them lose and end in draw.
If only this season can be used to learn and improve next season performance then there is possibility that Nice can compete with PSG even though fighting for the title will also be very difficult.
PSG still continues to dominate the Ligue 1 competition and we can see whether PSG development remains stable or not next season when their mainstay player Mbappe actually leaves.

Currently, Nice is in 6th position in the standings and it can be confirmed that it is impossible for Nice to rise to much better position until they have UCL ticket next season.
Only competition they can participate in is the European League and I think this competition is more suitable for Nice because the UCL is also big competition where the strongest team in various leagues will be able to easily get rid of Nice.

Somehow I not so sure that Nice will stay in the French Cup competition because of course PSG will beat Nice and knock them out.
I will say again that this season there are various doubts raised about Nice development.

I just realized that PSG hasn't won in several of these matches and it seems that it started when PSG faced Rennes at home. I mean, since then Luis Enrique has changed his plans to give Mbappe more rest time and if you remember after that match or more precisely in the next two matches against Monaco and Reims, Mbappe didn't play a full game there. We have 4 spots for the Ligue 1 in Champions League one is already fixed for the PSG and other three are going to have interesting fight till end because French League is unpredictable with things can take any change as few weeks back we have Nice at the second spot and this was sure they are going to stay here until end of this season but suddenly now they are going down and have no chance for fight back Lens is doing impressive job for another season in the top four, and we already have Brest at the second spot and Monaco at the third spot.

But nothing is still sure who is going to stay because Marseille is also doing good job, and they can also jump into these spots and Lille is also had good run even they are not good as needed for the Champions League but still all is unpredictable about the three spots who are going to be spotted it's going to be happened at the end.

With such a scenario, then I am more expecting Lille to win against Brest in the next Ligue 1 match, although it at least helps Monaco to overtake Brest but at least Lille still has a chance to overtake Brest and be in the top three with PSG, Monaco and Lille.
