Arsenal had one of their most comfortable games today against Newcastle. As Newcastle were at the last position in the league standings and had no victory yet, they seemed to be an easy prey. And Arsenal didn't surprise their supporters by winning the game with a certain result like 2-0. In fact, Arsenal would have scored a few more goals too. For example, they missed two big opportunities in the first half. Aubameyang literally missed a huge goal chance. But Newcastle were so bad that Arsenal still won the game without having much problem.
Yes, Newcastle's tournament results are terrible and the new owners of the club need to do something urgently, otherwise, instead of dreaming about building a team of superstars, they will need to do not so bright work to return the team to the Premier League. Therefore, a meeting with such an opponent cannot be an indicator of special strength, but still Arsenal lifted their spirits to some extent after the defeat from Liverpool in the previous round. However, in the next round he will face a much more difficult game away from Manchester United and there will already be a completely different level of resistance and stakes.

When the bad economics match the bad results it is not that much of a shock for the fans of New Castle. There are moments in which the clubs can only be as good as the underlying economy supporting them and this seems to be case. It does no only affect their ability to produce results by buying the players they need, but rather also the general morale of the team, that, in football is critical as well. This calls for a strong turnaround that may see the manager go.

The biggest match of the round 14 seems like Manchester United v Arsenal. This could be a quite interesting match. Because Manchester United are in the recovery phase. They got an important point from Chelsea and now they will aim to defeat Arsenal. On the other hand, Arsenal have done fabulous things so far. Despite the loss vs Liverpool (4-0), they continued to win vs Newcastle (2-0). And they will aim to obtain one point in the worst case here. But I believe that Manchester United will be the victor.

For this match, many see Manchester United as the favourites. Betting sites also gave lower odds for Manchester.
It is possible to speak positively for Manchester United in the last matches, they are not playing bad football like at the beginning of the season. It is also necessary to consider that this match will be on their own field.
I think it is a risky match, we can see a surprising result Smiley

Manchester United don't seem as much trustworthy as betting on them. But there is a feeling in me that they will defeat Arsenal and I will be regretful for not betting on their win.  Grin  One thing seems certain to me that it is not going to be a very comfortable victory for Manchester United even if they make it. I expect a score like 2-1 or 1-0.

Thank you very much, I thought I am the only one thinking this way about C. Ronaldo, but I was happy to read this from you too. [...]
It's not for me to explain to you that players like Messi and Ronaldo have earned more than enough money, so now their main goal is to go down in history by collecting as many trophies as possible. I think after the crushing victory in Ligue 1 Messi will also seriously think about moving to one of the English clubs to catch up with Ronaldo and become another player who became the champion in three leagues at once, (I think this club will be Manchester City).  Cry

I'm not sure he'll move again. He wants to be at Barca, anywhere else isn't right. I'm sure the whole upheaval of moving to a new country has been difficult for him, after being at home in Barcelona for decades of his life. Presumably he will start to settle in Paris soon enough, but it feels like the whole process of uprooting everything and moving to another country is not something he would want to repeat. I mean, maybe as a stretch he'd have a token season in the US or something, but I can't see him moving to another top European club (unless it's back to Barca).

Don't be naive, moving to Paris was no more difficult for him than moving to Barcelona, a city where mostly Catalan is spoken and Latin Americans are treated with contempt. The likelihood that he will return to Barça is extremely small, he already gave this club 20 years of his life (as you correctly noted), I am sure now his main concern is the World Cup, the CL and in a couple of years winning the third cup in the Premier League ... I'm not even talking about moving to the USA, since he has enough money and experience to return to Barça after the Premier League as a coach, (I hope you understand what I mean)Tongue

Good first half performance from spurs, I think Antonio Conte has transformed Ben Davies to  world class, have never see such a performance from him in a spurs shirt since he came, Davison Sanchez is the opposite of what Davies is doing, lack of confidence,he is not a premier League standard player,I don't know why he starts ahead of Japhet Tanganga.Emerson royal needs to up his game in the second half.

If it is possible for Messi then I would love to see him there next season. But are Manchester City interested in signing the man, if that's true, why didn't they try to sign Messi before PSG? It's a bit silly actually, but I think it could happen with Messi and Manchester City.

Back on topic, Arsenal scored in the first 15 minutes of the first half as they showed that today they are desperate to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford. Of course Manchester United can hit back, but they really have to work hard to beat Ramsdale.

I hate to break it to you’ll but no Messi won’t come to Manchester City, he’ll probably move on to the states once his stint comes to an end at PSG. Also any thoughts about the controversial goal Arsenal scored yesterday, because in my opinion it was a new low for them and they should apologise for it.

How about saying this also, Messi going out of Spanish club will be the last thing in his mind, but what happens? He left. It is not about what someone is thinking, but about what is next to do. If I see Messi in England tomorrow, it will not be a surprise for me, there is nothing impossible. But to be candid enough, I will like Messi to also play in England, but not playing in England does not mean he is not the best player of all time for now, which means not necessary.

I wish that I bet on Manchester United.  Grin  Their winning odd was around 1.95 when I saw it. It was very valuable and it was worth a try actually. Maybe Manchester United couldn't obtain a very comfortable victory but it was a tough game already in the end. And their high effort really impressed me. And I'd like to congratulate Ronaldo for breaking a new goal record in football history (above 800 goals).

What is going on at Manchester United?

Even when they win the game (as they did by beating Arsenal 3-2 at Old Trafford yesterday) they give their fans in the stadium and to the players themselves an emotion ride. When they have Cristiano Ronaldo in the team scoring his 800+801 career goal anything is possible. He is way above Messi at least for this calendar year and yet still the political games went on allowing Messi to win the Ballon d'Or for 2021 even though Ronaldo broke record after record in league and international football.

Could this be a turning point for Manchester United now after a draw away to Chelsea and this home win against Arsenal?

I recommend everyone who sees Liverpool victory guaranteed not to be that sure. Because I would like to remind you a thing that Liverpool couldn't win against Everton away in their last 4 head-to-heads. I know that Liverpool are much stronger than Everton now. But in derby games like this, nobody can know what would happen certainly. I'm pretty sure that Liverpool will do their best to win the match though.
Most of the predictors seem to prefer today's favorite team to win, but I think it's still possible to see the result differently. This is because every team that will compete today will maximize all chances to win and get points even though it is a little risky to bet something on them. Manchester City won, Chelsea drew, while Liverpool lost, that was my hope but I really can't believe it happened. LOL

I hope there aren't many table changes today because they should have won easily in their respective games.
Are you not interested in the Leicester vs Southamton match? It looks like they can take maximum points today and change their ranking in the table if Wolves lose.

It looks like I was very wrong about my prediction about the Everton - Liverpool match.  Grin  Liverpool just demolished Everton by 4 goals and conceded only one. Everton are really helpless right now as they can't get even any proper win. They need to solve the current problems in the team or they might even end the season near the relegation zone.

And when it comes to the other match you mentioned, I didn't follow it but I wish I did. Because there were 4 goals and a 2-2 draw in it.

Maybe...  But I’m pretty confident Rangnick is gonna bring about some changes in the squad, the team and the club that would surely make Man United more organized and make them play better regardless of the result.

Anyway who do you guys got for the weekend?  I’m thinking of doing a degen parlay with City to win, Liverpool to win, the Saints vs Brighton draw, NUFC vs Burnley draw and Leeds vs Brentford draw.  Total odds at 68.15...  What do you guys think?  Grin

Arsenal wasn't an easy for united but the both teams did well and a big congratulation to C. Ronaldo for his new record he is one player who shows too much passion for any club he plays for. 800 goals in his carrier is a huge achievement. but come to think of i was shock to see fred having one assist it shows lots of improvement on united stars

Well the game didn't start particularly well for Manchester United with the goal they conceded. If that goal didn't happen, might have been much easier for them. The comeback they had afterwards might represent a real uptrend for the next weeks. Some new impulses and inputs by Rangnick and who knows, maybe they are quickly climbing up the table.

Could this be a turning point for Manchester United now after a draw away to Chelsea and this home win against Arsenal?
The next 3 games will tell if they are back on track or not

Anyway who do you guys got for the weekend?  I’m thinking of doing a degen parlay with City to win, Liverpool to win, the Saints vs Brighton draw, NUFC vs Burnley draw and Leeds vs Brentford draw.  Total odds at 68.15...  What do you guys think?  Grin
Those draws are too risky for me, especially the Leeds vs Brentford match because I expect a lot of goals and they are both two-goal teams, so I'd go for over 2.5 goals and NUFC to win. I'd definitely avoid the Soton game.

Did anyone noticed the intensity Tottenham Hotspur players put in their game against Brentford, how the wings back operate, how strong their midfield is in that game, you just know is the hand work of Antonio Conte, the players are now getting use to there new coach and are now showing commitment to move  up in the table.lets see if they can show consistency in their game against Norwich this Sunday.

Totteham are begining to pick form and it's begining to make their fans happy.Antonio Conte has come with his style and I believe he is going to take Tottenham to the top of the table.
If they continue playing like this for a about 6 Games, then there is every possibility that they will move up to a good place on table.Kudos to Antone Conte for his good work.

I understand your indignation, but I think if Portugal won the European Championship, then the owner of the golden ball would definitely be Ronaldo.

The fact is that Argentina has not won the America's Cup for about 20 years, and the recent victory over Brazil, kind of drew a line over all of Messi's club and national achievements. The Ligue 1 Cup can also be added here, although the season has not ended yet, but now we can say with confidence that PSG is out of competition, (not to mention the fact that PSG are not so bad in the Champions League).

Jaw dropping score line between West Ham and Chelsea.  The genius Moyes!  If only Man United stuck with him like they tried to with Solksjaer.  Lolol.

But seriously who knows what would’ve happened.  He was Ferguson’s annointed one...  He saw something in him.

Yeah it’s a degen bet.  I’m not expecting to win but would brag and post the ticket if I win.  Cheesy  But it’s just a small bet.  Around 14 to win almost 900 bucks or something.  Obv less now with the crypto sell down.  It was all the spare money I had left in my account.  Lol.
