Amorim might see this as a massive win for Manchester United that would put just five points between themselves and Manchester City. Before Guardiola suffered from those recent defeats, most would have expected Manchester City win but now I suppose Manchester United will probably go on to win the game.

One thing is clear, the Guardiola/Manchester City era of dominance is over. They simply cannot cope with teams that are brave enough to fight back and without Rodri they look mediocre. Even with De Bruyne starting the last few games for them, Manchester City are a shadow of a team without Rodri. They will need a complete overhaul if they are to become a dominant force again.

Yeah could be..  But we'll see.  This season, for sure they're losing it.  But then again even Alex Ferguson had a couple of seasons of not winning the league during his time.  

All in all it's good for the league if Man City really loses dominance.  Man City being so dominant is one of the reasons why I'm getting bored of the EPL tbh.

Arsenal should have an easy game hosting Everton. Liverpool should also have the same when they host Fulham therefore they can create more distance between themselves and Manchester City (especially if Manchester United win tomorrow and inflict another defeat for Guardiola and Manchester City).

You see exactly why I had those predictions, sometimes we just had to follow our instinct as I said. I just had a feeling we'll be seeing an upset in one of those games and it almost happened but Liverpool being at Anfield helped them alot.

Assuming they were playing away, I don't see them coming back to get that equalizer. Both teams avoided a loss today but they both dropped points and this present an opportunity for Chelsea to get closer to Liverpool.

Chelsea losing tomorrow only means they aren't really in the title race because chances like this are what title contenders take advantage of to close the gaps.  I didn't watch both games so don't have much to say but looking at the scoreline, the Liverpool game would had been fun to watch.

Kudos to Newcastle for handing Ruud his first defeat, I didn't see that scoreline happening.

Everton is not also a weak team but in football when there is no luck at your side in that game you lose and they have loss tremendously in this season and that doesn't mean they can withstand with the strong teams in the season. Everton just need changes and replace some key players then I believed everything will be alright.

Arsenal cut some gamblers games(bets) today because many thought Arsenal would win Everton with sure game but things move around. Everton goalkeeper was good and the defense so it was hard for Arsenal to penetrate the defense and the lucky ones were saved by the keeper.

Man, it was a chaotic Saturday in the top 5 leagues; it was one of those Saturdays when bookies made a lot of money as there were so many unexpected results from various leagues, and all of the top clubs dropped points. I had Aston Villa win + BTS and Wolves win + BTS on a double ticket, you know how it turned out..

Your instinct was clearly accurate on this occasion. Chelsea have a great chance to capitalise on their competitors dropping points when they face Brentford tomorrow evening. If they win they will be just two points behind leaders Liverpool therefore this is a fantastic opportunity for Maresca to tell the world they will try to win the Premier League in his first season as manager.

Everton have a Premier League this season of W3 D6 L6 therefore they cannot be considered a strong team however they kept their nerve against a very dangerous opponent in Arsenal and managed to get a draw. I think Arteta, the players and the fans all would have thought they would take all three points but in the end had to settle for a draw.

Arsenal ended the game with a goalless home draw against Everton. Arsenal could have moved to second place and could have been four points behind leaders Liverpool but Everton took a point and are now three points above the relegation zone with a game in hand. As for Liverpool, they were behind twice but pulled level twice to end the game with a 2-2 draw. Fulham deserve credit for nearly winning the game.

Congratulation to Nottingham Forest as they continue their excellent run. They beat a very good Aston Villa team by scoring two very late goals to get the win after being 0-1 down and are now occupying 4th place in the table.

For Fulham's chances to win at Anfield, in a vacuum I think it's low for the most part.  But as I said, Marco Silva is a decent manager and it showed vs Liverpool.

As for Arsenal.  No comment.  Lol.  It's just one of those days you know..?  Some squads just have an off day from time to time.  And it's already winter.  Players tend to have lower output during this time of the year.

Arsenal drew with Everton at home. Arsenal were expected to win this match but they failed to deliver. Although they played a dominant game against Everton, they were not lucky in front of goal. On Everton's side, they are absolutely happy to get one point from this away trip
Liverpool drew with Fulham at home.  Six minutes after Fulham went 1-0 up, Robertson was red carded leaving his team with 10 men.  Liverpool, who started the second half fast, found the goal, but Fulham took a 2-1 lead in the 76th minute. It's not a bad result for Liverpool, who managed to draw with Jota's goal in the dying minutes. After all, they played with 10 men and could have been beaten.

Pep isn't going anywhere, the results are dreadful, but if anyone in Europe has the potential to turn these bad results around, it's Pep. Let's just assume that Rodri's and other CBs' injuries were a key influence in the team's poor performance, although I don't accept that excuse.

They sold a lot of good players throughout the years without a solid replacement; it was only a matter of time until they faced the consequences of their poor judgements.

Great result for us against stubborn Brentford, we finally broke the home jinx but losing cucurella at the end was terrible.

The goal scored by Amad in the 90th minute to give Manchester United a 1-2 win over Manchester City was stunning. The way he took ball over and past Ederson and then to cushion the ball towards the goal (rather than to go for power) was brilliant. How did Manchester City allow two goals to be conceded in two minutes at the very end of the game that they were winning 1-0? The era of Guardiola and Manchester City dominance is over.

In the other big game Chelsea overcame Brentford and are now just two points away from sitting at the top of the Premier League table with just Liverpool in their way. I was surprised Brighton lost at home to Crystal Palace, their form has been unpredictable recently.

Yup...  Same thoughts here.  Not going anywhere unlike many folks around these parts think.  They prolly didn't look into the relationship of Soriano and Txiki with Guardiola.  These guys have deep ties with each other.  And they didn't acquire one of the best managers in football just to throw him out at the first moment of weakness.  He brought the team multiple league titles, domestic trophies and the UCL trophy.

A lot of fans have prolly gotten used to the modern culture when clubs give the managers the sack when things aren't going their way.  Lol.  That culture isn't happening at City imho.  Not with Guardiola.

I have to return back to the results from yesterday because there are seismic changes taking place in the Premier League:

What a fantastic move it was by Chelsea chairman Boehly to pay Leicester City in order to buy out the contract for Maresca. When I saw Chelsea get destroyed by Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in the first game of the season, I thought they would be in big trouble especially after the way he was ruthless in the way he made clear Sterling and Chilwell were not part of his plans (though he backtracked and allowed Chilwell to remain at the club).

After several false starts for Boehly, he made the best decision of his Chelsea career with the hiring of Maresca and now they are just two points away from sitting at the top of the table. Chelsea will fight of the title, they are capable of beating any team in the Premier League.

What happened in the Manchester derby does not mean Manchester City are out of the title race but it means Manchester United will be on an upward trajectory. Amorim seems confident. He will need time to get them to play in the way he wants and will be given space by fans and the owners but Guardiola seems as though he is a man completely broken as nothing is working for him. Though the club will want him to stay I am convinced he will resign. Whether it happens at the end of the season or before, he will definitely quit.

And just to emphasise the quality of the best league in the world, who would have thought Crystal Palace would travel to Brighton and not only win but win by a 1-3 margin?

Despite losing a couple of games in a row this season, Pep Gardiola still remains one of the first best managers in the EPL, setting a record of that standard in the EPL and Europe is rare in contemporary football. I do believe this is their own challenging time's just as the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea have had their own share in previous seasons. But exactly as you have said, City fans are mainly trophy mongers who dumped their former club's for City during their back to back trophy winning era .

Well, Chilwell did manage to get involved in the EFL Cup game against Barrow in September. I think that might be the only time he played for Chelsea under Maresca. At least Chilwell was back in the squad for that game but Sterling (who was only two years in to his five year contract) was frozen out and never to return therefore his loan move to Arsenal was given the go ahead.

If Maresca hopes Chilwell will be sold in January then that is probably the best way forward for the club and the player. At 27 years old Chilwell has a big future ahead of him but he needs to stay injury-free for his new club as he seems to be injury prone.

The Man City fans aren't even calling for anything.  They keep supporting the club and the manager.  But the midweek fixtures at home need more people in the stadium tho.  Lol.  It's the people who aren't City supporters who are saying that Guardiola's days at the club are numbered 'for sure'.  

That's prolly what they wanna see happen.  But no..  Again, not happening.  Not with Ferran Soriano and Txiki calling the shots.  And the oilers love Guardiola.  They'll try to keep him in the club for as long as it takes.
