Football management has evolved since he was at Tottenham. Not to mention that when Conte was fired, Tottenham had the opportunity to bring him back but chose other available options (they got a better modern manager).

Before you talk about Poch's successes at Tottenham, keep in mind that he won nothing during the golden Tottenham era and nearly destroyed the team after three brilliant seasons.

Poch is not a bad coach, but he is not the manager for our young project since his player management is terrible.

In your opinion who should be managing Chelsea now?

I will take back either Mourinho or Conte easily - we need discipline and someone to install winning mentality into the players and the team and only Conte and Mourinho can do this in a Short term. But it's not gonna happen, our Owners want the "Yes Sir" manager so Conte and Mourinho are way out of their league.

Personally, I will go with Conte as I believe he has this special way of intilling winning mentality in the players. Mourinho is good in manager players psychology but I believe he has had his time with Chelsea, so his presence will not make much difference.  On the other hand, Conte has a record that has winning as dominant factor. Under him, Chelsea play more of attacking than defending that they do with Mourinho. 

So Conte is highly recommended by me to come and change the fortune of the present struggling Chelsea before they face the same fate as Sevilla.

These are the results of the games that were played today:

Everton 0-0 Aston Villa
Manchester United 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Both teams could have won the game but the highlights were Hojlund scoring a stunning goal and Rashford scoring at Old Trafford for the first time since May 2023. Tottenham played well considering they were without some key players including Son.

Personally, I will go with Conte as I believe he has this special way of intilling winning mentality in the players. Mourinho is good in manager players psychology but I believe he has had his time with Chelsea, so his presence will not make much difference.  On the other hand, Conte has a record that has winning as dominant factor. Conte ended up failing at Tottenham therefore it is not as though he will be a sure success. Like Mourinho, Conte also has had his time at Chelsea and the best thing they can do is to allow Pochettino the time and space to turn this Chelsea team in to title contenders again.

The gamble paid off and Guardiola not only brought success but he also brought his own brand of football which many clubs try to emulate today.

Guardiola definitely brought his attacking and possession based football brand to the Premier League, that cannot be denied. How much of that success was because Manchester City cheated by breaking fair play rules on 115 occasions?

Yeah it's sad that City resorted to some accounting and legal loop holes and playing around the rules of UEFA to get more money funneled into Man City.  But that's besides the point.  What I was talking about was Guardiola's relationship and history with City CEO Ferran Soriano and their director of football Txiki.  Guardiola has 100% support from those two that even if he falters, he won't be given the sack.  Not like the culture in other clubs when the manager is the expendable one.

Well it might be beside the point but they are serious allegations, all 115 of them. Some of the allegations that have been made against Manchester City include them making payments under the table and away from official accounting records to their previous sacked managers as well as paying agents fees but not declaring them.

As far as Guardiola getting sacked is concerned, he will not be sacked at Manchester City but after they are found guilty on any of the 115 charges, he could resign because he said he would resign if the owners had lied to him. All other managers (including the once upon a time special one) really are expendable but right now we can say Guardiola is not

^  Not denying it's going to be a sad event in football if found guilty.  And yup, I've already said that Guardiola was the one questioning the club when the shenanigans hit the news.  It's some posts above...

I think there was a time when Guardiola almost called it quits with Man City but then the top brass prolly talked to him and assured him that their loophole was tight.  Lmao.  Guardiola went on to have a press conference a week later and said he wasn't leaving and that he still supports the club.

That press conference (when he stated that he was not going to quit if the Manchester City owners lied to him) was in stark contrast to the press conference that he made when he was adamant he would quit immediately if the owners had lied to him. It was hilarious watching him change his mind but being unable to justify his actions.

115 charges is a serious matter. The only reason why UEFA could not proceed with their charges was because they related to a period of time which elapsed according to their own rules. The key thing being Manchester City were not found innocent or guilty, the case could not proceed because of a technicality. The Premier League does not have a time limitation based on their rules therefore  Manchester City will not be let off the hook.

There are 15 minutes remaining in the early kick-off, Arsenal are winning 3-0. Arsenal will get three points and then will move up to joint second in the Premier League table on 43 points alongside Manchester City and Aston Villa. Liverpool are leading with 45 points but this season will be one of closest title races in many years.

It seems as though West Ham United and Liverpool should take away al three points from their respective games but as they will play away, it might be difficult when the home fans get involved and start pushing the home team to get points.

After Liverpool thrashed Chelsea 4-1 this evening, they are once again 5 points clear at the top of the Premier League table. Elsewhere, Newcastle United won 1-3 at Villa Park to hand Aston Villa their first home defeat of the season. Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City won their games therefore keep pressure on Liverpool at the top of the table.

West Ham United had a difficult home game with Bournemouth but salvaged a draw after being 0-1 down. Manchester United scored a 97th minute winner after Wolves scored a 95th minute equaliser. That was a good game to watch for the seven goals but the points have taken Manchester United to 7th in the Premier League table with 35 points but they remain 8 points away from an automatic Champions League position.

The notable results were Chelsea losing at home to Wolves and also Arsenal beating Liverpool as it makes the situation tight at the top of the table with Liverpool still leading but Manchester City have a game in hand and are just two points behind.

On paper Liverpool have an easy home game against Burnley and they need to win otherwise Manchester City could already have leapfrogged them to sit at the top of the table because they play in the early kick-off game against Everton.

Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest have started playing well even if the results did not fully reflect that therefore I think they will beat Newcastle United today. Brighton will give Tottenham a difficult game therefore that game looks to be heading for a draw.

These are the results from the games played yesterday. Nottingham Forest have been playing well since Nuno Espirito Santo took over as manager but the results have not reflected that. Manchester City took 70 minutes for their first shot ion target but they scored, eventually winning 2-0. Liverpool stay top of the Premier League with their 3-1 win.

It's really been an interesting & fantastic game played between West Ham United and Arsenal, that is, with regards to the Arsenal team ability to score 4 straight goals within a space of just mere 14 minutes in the first half which we least did expect, and as such, there is a high tendency more goals likely to come out in it's second half, resulting to the match ending with either 6 goals or 7 goals extra in total. But all the same, all kudos to "Saliba" who scored the first goal, "Saka" who scored the penalty goal and "Magalhães and Trossard" who scored the third and fourth goals within an interval of 4 minutes.

As if I knew this game was going to end 6 goals to nil just as predicted above, but the only mistake I think I made was to not staking it after saying it, as I'm sure by now I would have been on a very good sum right now as the game played at prediction. But however, all kudos to the entire Arsenal players, as they did play a very wonderful game today, most especially Saka and Rice who later scored in the second, whereas, West Hamp lost with 4 yellows.

I thought it was a piece of pure class from Declan Rice when he scored with that fantastic strike but then he held his hands up to acknowledge the West Ham fans because he was their player until Arsenal managed to buy him. He spent many years at West Ham through their academy and then to the first team before being sold.

As for the score, if you had placed a bet you would have been happy with what you would have won. Never mind, just enjoy the Premier League as it is.

There was just one game yesterday and it was more bad news for Roy Hodgson and his Crystal Palace team but it was finally an emphatic away win for Chelsea where the midfield was playing cohesively and also scoring goals. They came from a goal down to win first after Gallagher equalised and then followed it up with a late goal before Enzo Fernandez added another.

The irony was that Crystal Palace played very well throughout the game and the goal by Lerma to give them the lead was simply a stunning opener. They have lost back to back games and a total of four losses from their previous six Premier League games and sit just 5 points above the relegation zone. Chelsea on the other hand have won four and lost two of their previous six Premier League games.

I think this game could add a lot of goal different to Liverpool and that could be vital as the teams at the top do not want to miss out one a higher league spot by virtue of having less difference that a team with the same number of points. In that case, Luton Town could be on the receiving end of a big defeat.
