Arsenal play away at Fulham on Sunday 31st December but I do not think it will be a happy new year for them. After what West Ham United did to Arsenal by winning away 0-2 I think Arsenal will suffer against Fulham. Even though I would not put is past Arsenal to score at least one goal, I think Fulham will win the game.

^  Possible spot for Arsenal to get back in winning form at the next match?  Arsenal to win and over 1.5 goals combo is at 1.77.

Luton Town vs Chelsea
Aston Villa vs Burnley
Crystal Palace vs Brentford
Manchester City vs Sheffield United
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Everton
Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United

Aston Villa and Manchester City should end up with three points each but the early kick-off game between Luton Town and Chelsea is currently 0-0.

Yup but West Ham has the genius Moyes who could outfox any manager from time to time.  He even outfoxed Ferguson during his time at Man United and made Moyes his successor cos he knew Moyes has a good head on his shoulders.

As for Fulham, sure Marco Silva is a decent manager who was once touted as the young Mourinho a fee years back.  But he doesn't have the experience and the grit.  IMHO.

Since there's a chance that the match could end in a draw, and I could see it go BTTS, so what about this...  Arsenal or draw double chance and BTTS combo at 2.13?

I would expect Arsenal to throw everything including the kitchen sink at Fulham because they would like to bounce back after their defeat to West Ham. I think Arsenal will score but I also think Fulham will score too. They have lost their previous three consecutive Premier League games therefore the signs are not good therefore BTTS seems good 

Since there's a chance that the match could end in a draw, and I could see it go BTTS, so what about this...  Arsenal or draw double chance and BTTS combo at 2.13?

Luton vs Chelsea, i think after this match the position of Chelsea will increase in the table, because Chelsea is going to defeat Luton except that Luton Town makes some changes and without that I don't think that they can equalise this match, from the starting of the match Luton has being in hard labour battling with Chelsea, because the first half which is the beginning of the match and one goal was scored by Cole Palmer and second goal by Noni Madueke same first half and the way I'm seeing this match it will be difficult for Luton to score because at this 67 minutes they missed their opportunity to at least score a one goal.

Liverpool are sitting on top of the Premier League table by virtue of goal difference (both they and Aston Villa have 42 points) but they can move three points clear if they beat Newcastle United. On current form, I think this should be an easy win for Liverpool and the loss will add some pressure on Newcastle United manager Howe.

Is going to be an interesting match but however Liverpool has greatly improve more than the way they did during the early time of the season because there seems to be a better version of Liverpool lately so if they continue there consistent on wining, they will surely last longer on the first position they are on the premier league table but however if arsenal had win there match yesterday Arsenal would have still maintain there first position but it was quite unfortunate for them to have underestimated Fulham. So actually I believe that is going to be a win match for Liverpool against Newcastle United because Newcastle United performance was only during the early time of the season but now they have lost form.

RESULT:

Liverpool 4-2 Newcastle United

The game ended at Anfield with Liverpool winning the game. They have increased their goal difference and not only that they currently sit at the top of the Premier League table with 45 points and are three points clear of second place Aston Villa. It is the first time I can recall when after playing the New Years games that the top four are separated by just five points.

Tottenham in 5th place are just six points behind leaders Liverpool with 39 points therefore all European places are being challenged. To be at the halfway stage and not know who which teams will occupy the top four places makes this season quite special.

There is only one game taking place today Tuesday 2nd January:

West Ham United vs Brighton and Hove Albion

The next set of games will take place at the weekend therefore this is the only game in the interim. Brighton have W2 D2 L2 from their last six games and West Ham have W4 D1 L1 including three consecutive wins. I think West Ham should take all three points from this game and with that they will be just three points behind 5th place Tottenham.

It was not Sheffield, they already played them actually. It was the match against Brentford that was postponed because of the Club World Cup.

Well there is no doubt about it, Liverpool are playing like a team that wants to win the Premier League again. As a manager, Klopp is fantastic and brings an energy to the teams he manages and that same enthusiastic character has been passed on to the Liverpool players. They are going challenge all the way until the end of the season but I cannot yet state if they will beat Manchester City (or any other team) to the title.

City will always be around the top, there is no way that they would be suddenly too terrible, even with a lot of good players missing, they still managed to keep the season going, namely KDB missing has been a big blow to their season but he is coming back as well, so I am assuming that City could still end up winning the title.

I know that people didn't see them at the top at all this season, so they are not considering that option, but if they win the next game where they are missing one, then they are second with equal game count, if Liverpool loses just one game, city will be ahead of them and at the top. So, they are just a single game behind if you think about it and that is quite possible for them to win.

It was not Sheffield, they already played them actually. It was the match against Brentford that was postponed because of the Club World Cup.

Wut?  What I said was all the midtable clubs this season aren't the usual midtable clubs we see every year.  These guys are usually top 4 clubs and what I said that they would win against Newcastle at home at any day of the week because Newcastle's away form is terribad.

@JollyGood Chelsea is definitely building on something but a defeat now would make me wonder how many days does Poch have left because there’s no way Chelsea’s new owner is allowing him to stay on after such a disappointing season so far. Lastly Manchester United have few days to reshape their squad and possibly panic buy to save their season but if that too fails then I expect them to finally sack Ten Hag because it’s high time he goes.

The problem with Chelsea is that since Pochettino took over as manager they have not had a decent run of games without loss. If they win one game they lose or draw the next game and so on.

There is no doubt Pochettino is a brilliant manager who took Tottenham to the Champions League final in 2019 (but lost to Liverpool) and nearly won the Premier League when they were pipped to the title by Leicester City in 2016 and finished 3rd place that season and then finished 2nd place the following season in 2017.

They have the players and they have the coach, they do not have much time left if they are to mount a serious challenge for a top four finish because half of the games have already been played. Pochettino will not be sacked, the fans and players believe in his style but he needs time to get the players playing the way he wants.

As for Ten Hag, I will be surprised if he remains manager at the start of next season because Manchester United need a fresh start with a new manager that has got new ideas otherwise they will continue to fall behind Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and now Aston Villa is added to the list.

We struggle to win two consecutive games this season, and we have consistently squandered opportunities to move up the table. We're playing against our biggest West London rivals in an unstable circumstance. Jackson is away at the AFCON, Nkunku isn't totally match fit, and our defence is too slow to compete with Willian's quickness and how quickly Fulham counters.

Both team to score @ 1.70 is a steal. Manchester city @ 1.62 against struggling Newcastle united is another bonus odd.

@JollyGood -: No Chelsea fan is happy with Poch at the moment. He met us at 10th more than 6 months ago and we're still 10th
