Arsenal play Wolves at home on Saturday therefore you would expect them to win the game and increase their lead at the top of the Premier League table. Manchester City host Tottenham on Sunday, also Aston Villa and Liverpool play their respective games therefore if Arsenal drop points they will try to take advantage.

Don't forget about the Newcastle vs Man United match.    Could be a good one as Newcastle hasn't really lost at home except for that one game against Liverpool.  Man United on the other hand have won 5 of their last 6 matches and won their last 4 away matches...  They also kept a clean sheet in three of them.  I think they could do better than what we saw with Chelsea last weekend.  :/

Another good match is Chelsea vs Brighton.  Not sure why with Chelsea's home record they're line at 1.71 and Brighton is 4.40.  Shouldn't it be a little closer?

@tokeweed Newcastle will win this game because they’re playing some amazing football and while Manchester United have rebounded well they’re yet not ready to face a team like Newcastle. Furthermore Chelsea will have a tough game but they can yet win because they definitely have quality player’s who can help them overcome the challenge that Brighton player’s will throw at them.

Manchester City v Tottenham, hmm. What a match to be watched this week, right? 

Manchester City are a huge favourite by bookies @1.31 by the way. However I don't think the same as them to tell the truth. We saw how Manchester City played against Chelsea and Liverpool recently. They couldn't win any of those matches. They even conceded 5 goals in total. They are vulnerable in defense in big matches as it seems.

Considering that I believe Tottenham will also manage to score at least one goal and make difficulties for them. But there is one problem here. Maddison and Richarlison are still injured. Son will have a big responsibility. I think that it won't be easy for Manchester City but they will still be victorious at the end. My score prediction is 2-1.

I would expect Newcastle United to win the game because Manchester United are not exactly in great form even though they have getting the points in the Premier League recently. Manchester United have drawn 3-3  in the Champions league away at Galatasaray in a game they needed to win but failed therefore if Newcastle take the game to them with attacking football, I think they will win especially with the home crowd cheering them on.

I think on paper it is clear Manchester City will be the favourites to win the game. Tottenham have lost three consecutive Premier League games, they are not in good form and I expect Manchester City to exploit that.

It got me thinking.  What does Brighton's injury list look like?  That's the only thing that would make sense why the bookies got this with Brighton at 4.40.  Draw no bet is at 3.15.    I think I'm gonna hit that one up if their injury list isn't as bad.

I would disagree, in my opinion there is not enough support to claim that Newcastle United are favourites to win the game. Manchester United are the in-form team when it comes to the Premier League with a W5 L1 record in their last six games whereas Newcastle United have a W3 D2 L1 in their last six games.

Granted they did very well when they went to PSG in the Champions League and ended the game with a controversial 1-1 draw (when they were leading the game 0-1) but we are back in the Premier League for this game.

It was an incredible game between Manchester City and Tottenham. Thanks to Tottenham's being very productive about scoring goals the game became much more enjoyable to watch. Heung-min Son scored a goal also but he was really unlucky on that own goal. Because his intention was to block the ball to prevent the cross from becoming more dangerous. 

Haaland didn't have a good day as for finishing the goal chances nicely. He wasted unbelievable goal chances but this was still not a hindrance for Manchester City to score 3 goals.

But there was still a draw at the end. Tottenham resisted really well. By the way the referee made a huge mistake in the last minutes. Although Haaland continued after that tackle and sent the ball behind the defense line very nicely the referee just wanted to stop the game and give a free-kick to Manchester City.

It's hard to speak positively for City. It's inconceivable that they can't control the game when the opponent doesn't have a stopper and half of the first team is missing. All 3 goals they scored came from mistakes. Rodri plays a very key role. They would have serious problems without him. There is no trace of the field defence they had in the past seasons. Gvardiol is falling apart. I don't understand why Pep doesn't use Stones. On the bright side, it looks like we will watch a multi-team championship race until the last week. Tottenham showed a reasonable performance despite so many missing players.

So, I think we can sum up the intermediate results: City had three serious games in a row (Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham) and scored only 3 points in these games. I think that this result is very far from the champion's. Aston Villa are ahead (which are only one point behind City) and if we follow the logic of events we should see a draw again 
At the same time, bookmakers estimate the probability of City's title to be approximately 1.1, which seems crazy to me. Let's see how they adjust their assessment after this round.

Chelsea won but it didn't look good for them that an injury laden squad in Brighton was able to put a couple of goals in.  :/  So it would be interesting how they fare against Man United at Old Trafford.  I'm thinking the guys in red win this one.  But dunno..  I guess BTTS and over 2.5 combo would make a good bet if it was lined over 2.00.

Another interesting match is Aston Villa vs Man City.  With Man City starting to falter a bit, I think gambling on Aston Villa wouldn't be that bad.

Edit:  Checked the betting market.  BTTS and over 2.5 combo is at 1.85.  Aston Villa draw no bet is at 3.05 and double chance is at 2.05.  Not much value imho.

Manchester City are still continuing to lose points. Maybe they don't lose the games but they lose 2 points every game lately. Guardiola had better be alarmed about this situation to search for a way out. They have been really bad in all the games against top teams lately. I mean especially at defending they were really inadequate.

Aston Villa game is up next for Manchester City. They are also not a team that any team in the league can underestimate at the moment. I wouldn't bet on Manchester City to win this game honestly while they are unreliable. 

It is good to see Arsenal and Liverpool also fighting for the title now. The title race can be really fierce if things still go on like this in the second half of the season too.

Manchester City 3-3 Tottenham was an enjoyable game but the player that stood out for me was Son, what a player. The way he played was absolutely brilliant, he did not stop running forward when Tottenham were attacking and did not stop running when having to defend. The Tottenham team never gave up and walked away with a point.

As for Manchester City, we do not know if Grealish would have scored the winner before the referee awarded a free-kick for the foul on Haaland. It was a poor decision by the referee but they had enough chances to win the game before that incident happened.

In the end the points on the table are far more important than the style of play but having said that it was a psychological advantage for Chelsea because of the way Brighton fans had taunted Chelsea, Chelsea fans and ex-Chelsea/Brighton manager Potter last season. Now that Chelsea have two players in their squad that were purchased from Brighton at the start of the season, Brighton will understand they did good business for getting £125 million but they needed to replace those players fully.

When they play Manchester United, I am expecting Chelsea to win because Manchester United are simply atrocious to watch.

Chelsea could have really lost points against Brighton last week because their second half effort wasn't convincing at all. In the second half Brighton tried really hard by not only having a 78% ball possession but also having so many goal attempts. But Chelsea's finding the 3rd goal before Brighton score after all those attempts was a big help for Chelsea to win.

Chelsea's job could be even more difficult tonight in Old Trafford. Actually Chelsea are shown like the favourite side but still it is a tough match. Manchester United were really good at dealing with big teams home last season but now I can't see the same effort - the Manchester City match can be given as an example. I would rather place a bet on both teams to score.

Manchester United are in big trouble. Solksjaer had a good season as manager and finished in 2nd place but the following season lost his job. Last season Ten Hag guided them to 3rd place but this season they are struggling again and it seems according to newspaper gossip columns he has lost 50% of the dressing room. It is clear the jib is too big for him, he should be sacked.

I am expecting Chelsea to beat Manchester United this evening.

United have struggled to replicate last season’s efforts, especially at Old Trafford, where they have lost five of their 11 matches in all competitions this term.
In particular, Erik ten Hag’s side have struggled against top-level opposition, losing to Newcastle United twice, Manchester City, Arsenal, Spurs and Brighton already this season. They may have similar trouble against a Chelsea outfit who are inconsistent but on the up.
The Blues won just one of their first six Premier League matches this term but have recently won six of their past 10 games in all competitions, with valuable draws against Manchester City and Arsenal.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have found their goalscoring touch, netting 12 times in their previous four games, and they could flourish against a leaky Red Devils backline.
United looked devoid of confidence in their 1-0 loss at Newcastle and Chelsea are fancied to inflict further pain on their opponents with victory in this one. But never the less I'm rooting for the blues to win the game against the red devils.

Tonight's match between Manchester United and Chelsea will be a wonderful match. It is notable that since this season Manchester United has not been in their best form likewise Chelsea has not been in their best form too. Now this is a match between once two top flight clubs in England. Although, they are still big teams but their performances have not been encouraging.

Lately, Chelsea has started to find their form and I can say that they are currently in a better form than Manchester United. Therefore, I will tick Chelsea to win, although the meeting between Chelsea and Manchester United use to be a challenge between the players and even their fans. So, Manchester United will have to step up their games to be able to match up with Chelsea. But in terms of commitment and strength, the Chelsea players are more committed and have more strength. So Chelsea have higher likelihood to win the match.
