Embarrassing game for Spain against Japan. Rumors say that the Spanish team lost deliberately, so that they could finish at the second place in their group and face Morocco at the round of 16. Shame on them. I really hope that Spain will be kicked out of the tournament at the quarterfinals. Croatia vs. Japan would be interesting, but I bet that the Croatian team would reach the quarterfinals.

Spain didn't only avoid facing Croatia in the 16 round, they also avoided facing Brazil which is the biggest candidate to be the winner of this WC. Watching the table, if Spain surpassed Morocco, the most probable competitor in the quarter final is Portugal, while it is Brazil for Croatia in case they threw Japan out.

The last games in groups G and H are played today, so anything is still possible. Although unlikely, it is still possible that Portugal and Brazil do not finish on top of their respective groups. Anyway, I just hope that today will be another exciting day of the World Cup with many goals scored and plenty of drama!

Germany deserved to leave the tournament at the group stage. The German team is missing some key elements, in order to be competitive against France and Brazil, who are the big favorites for winning the World Cup.

Such difference between their performance on the first and second half, still japan team is really dangerous offensively  they attack in numbers and they are really fast i wasn't surprised when they managed to score two goals in the second half spain defense is not that great still even moroco is a tough team to beat we've seen that on the group stage spain team will have a tough time against them.

Even though before this match started or before the match between Ghana v Uruguay started, in fact Uruguay was the only team that didn't have a goal from all the matches that had been played. But in this last match Uruguay even managed to score two goals in the first half, and it looks like Uruguay will win at half time. It was quite surprising, I think, because with the two results that were not optimal in the previous match, it made me doubt Uruguay because maybe Ghana would be able to maintain their advantage.
But what happened was that Ghana didn't seem to be able to make many efforts to maintain their advantage at this moment, and of course with a 2-0 defeat in the first half it would seem that Ghana had lost its chance to qualify.

But if Andre Ayew had scored earlier, through a penalty, then maybe it would have been a different result.
But because at this moment Uruguay can score first and is also superior in statistics, then of course Uruguay has a better chance of winning. A lot of drama in this world partaining elimination of Big teams by smaller teams, This will remind the eliminated teams/countries that one thing is for sure, change is constant.  No team should be regarded as a small team anymore as long as this world cup is concerned, looking at how countries like Germany, Belgium, Uruguay, just to mention a few couldn't qualify from their group stage games as result of getting a shocking defeat.

I was surprised to see Serbia's performance in the previous matches first. It was normal to see them losing to Brazil of course. But they could have won against Cameroon thanks to that solid performance. But somehow they made do with only a draw. Their chances to qualify from the group dropped down a lot as a result.

However things are going their way for now. They have made a really great comeback against Switzerland and they are keeping the 2-1 lead now. Mitrovic and Vlahovic scored the goals and it must be really satisfying for the fans to see these stars having a good day today. Because this is the most needed match for that in the end. Suarez was in tears because of that, if only they have scored I should have predicted my bet and win it, what a letdown. It was South Korea and not North Korea (LOL). Maybe it was not his day today, there are still more room for the knockout stage.
