Yesterday's games gave me many surprises

morocco - spain

honestly i even thought that morocco could already win this game within the 90 minutes, they wasted so many opportunities that even i was already irritated with them, it was just strange how morocco wasted opportunities to score a goal, now spain didn't even seem like that there are so many good players, they played so badly that honestly this spain coach has to be fired, about penalties, it was a great shame to see many spain players missing penalties

Morocco really surprised people in this game that made them to beat Spain through penalties shoot out, because many Spain fans hope that there will be an opportunity for Spain to win Morocco in the penalty shoot out, but the penalties shoot out turned for the favour of Morocco. Spain coach really deserved a sack letter from this mistakes they made in penalties shoot out that made Morocco goalkeeper to catch their balls because they are not too good in penalty shoot out which their country need to do something about it so that it will not repeat itself again.

Their fortunes turned as Morocco made the better of the penalty.  Morocco's goalkeeper was very active during the penalty shootout and was able to save Spain's attempts. But Spain's goalkeeper couldn't do it.  There are some reasons behind this such as the Moroccan players also made many technical penalties so that the Spanish goalkeeper could not understand the movement of the ball.

Morocco tried even the playing match aspect and both in the penalty time to defeat Spain, but I'm from my observation Morocco can't be allowed to go final, because when you watch well you will know that Portuguese are serious to win this match, and I'm seeing that Brazil that ans Portugal will play final, and it's possible that Portugal can defeat Brazil because of the performance of Brazil in the previous matches which they defeated almost 6 not.

The sad thing is that Spain lacked just a striker, that’s it. They play so well but because they do not have a great player known to score a lot, they lost and not looking great for the longest time and it has always been that problem. Not that they never had any, but they never really had anyone as good as Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Haaland, Lewandowski, or even Benzema lately.

These are elite scorers, not just forwards as a position, but also people who can score easily, and they never had anyone at that level. If this team had someone at that level, rest of the squad is good enough to fight for a title chance and because they don't have one, they are now gone, it’s that much of a big difference.

Speaking of sacking the coach, football is a game of passion and the pressure is on an equal level for both the coach and its players, so I don't feel losing is worth sacking the coach you should keep the job. Morocco is actually good and has performed very well in this world cup for them to win against Spain, even with a penalty shoot a win is a win. Personally, I enjoy watching Spain play but my favorite is France and Brazil. Good luck to all the teams.

Personally, I assume semi-finals games will be between Argentina - Brazil and Portugal - France (England chances aren't that far from France actually).
So my ranking is the following for the final game:
1- Brazil and France
2- Brazil and England
3 - Brazil and Portugal
4- Argentina and one of the previous 3 nations

France does not deserve to be ignored in the final match list because France has the highest rating to the final, I agree for the Brazilian and France matches because the two are very potential to qualify for the final, but whatever the predictions are not right even the real conditions are different because no one thinks Morocco qualify for the quarter -finals and Japan has defeated the top team even though it was not lucky to qualify for the quarter -finals.

We just have to admit Morocco did well in their defense. My major credit goes to Bono who was so good at the penalty shoot out

I can't not assume such that Brazil and Argentina will be the one that will emerge in the final of world cup, despite that Argentina are playing well that doesn't mean that Argentina will play finals with brazil, the country am expecting that will take in charge or will battle with Brazil in finals is Portugal or Morocco, because if Morocco happened to have the opportunity to defeat  Portugal their is every possibility that they will win Brazil

Brazil is most people's favorite in the world cup followed by Argentina but they will be meeting at the semifinals and whoever wins will play France in the finals. Brazil squad are all good,the first eleven and substitutes are OK, if a player is not fit for the game,someone else can fill up the vaccum and the game will still go normal.

Neymar didn't play their last game but his absence wasn't felt because there was someone to replace him without loop holes. This makes Brazil have more advantage over Argentina when they will meet in the semifinals. England is also another team with goods players both first eleven and their substitutes but I don't see them qualify to the semifinal stage because they don't take their matches as a do or die affair.

the two will not necessarily meet in the semifinals but I'm sure Brazil will reach the final round meeting France or England, this is just my view that Messi et al will lose in the quarter finals against the Netherlands because the Netherlands have also played well so far so it could surprise Argentina in next quarter-final match

What i want to tell you is that Spain bear in mind that they will win Morocco,.so i believe that's why the match changes and which Morocco prepared for them. So spain not to penetrate into Morocco defense home doesn't mean that they are incapable, in which i know that if you give Spain the chance to play with Portugal or Brazil, it might result out Spain wining them, because what Morocco usef to defeat Spain is by penalty.

So I think Spain has a problem player like this in the future, the team has lost the successor also, not only the attacker who can continue it the classical strategy. So they have hard homework!

It would be great to see a final between Argentina and Brazil, but that duel will happen first and only one of the two big favorites will advance to the final.

And even though it's only one game away from the "superclassic", it's not a guarantee that it will actually happen, because if we look back we'll see how rare this is....

The last time the two "South American giants" were close to face each other was in the 2014 World Cup, a very sad year for the Brazilians as it was when they lost 7-0 to Germany in the semifinal.
The Argentines were also at that stage, but they were happier and went on to the final after overcoming the Netherlands on penalties, but lost to Germany in the big decision... I still remember... 1-0 in the second half of extra time.

I had to research here, because I was barely born at that time...
the last time Argentina and Brazil faced each other in a world cup was 32 years ago in Italy. At the time, the Argentines won and even made a song to mock the Brazilians who lost even with Maradona playing "with one leg".

If they face each other again, I hope that this time Brazil wins

We get these sort of matches once in a while. But to their credit, Brazil quickly recuperates after such upsets. I hope that Neymar is fully fit for today's match. He suffered a minor injury during the match against Serbia and I don't know whether it is completely healed or not. BTW, he has made some controversial comments regarding the ongoing political situation in Brazil recently. He angered a lot of people when he decided to support the far-right candidate Jair Bolsonaro. Neymar even announced that he will dedicate his first goal in the tournament to Bolsonaro.

The Spain team was not weak. The squad had a lot of talented players. And their coach Luis Enrique is a very experienced coach. However, Spain lost against Morocco. Spain's main weakness is their attack. There were no experienced players in the attack. Neither Torres, Asensio nor Olmo are experienced enough. Spain's performance would have been stronger if they had an experienced player at forward. Against Morocco, Spain's players could not score despite attacking a lot. They also missed some easy opportunities.

We are not sure if Neymar is fully fit. Although Neymar was in the squad for the last match against South Korea, he was not fully fit. But in today's match, maybe we will see Neymar completely fit. Also, no important player in Brazil is injured now. Therefore, the Brazilian team will be at full strength in this match.
Players should not mix politics with World Cup matches. The two are completely different. Players should behave professionally. Although I don't know much about Brazilian politics. But personally, I think Neymar should not add their internal politics to the World Cup stage to create controversy.
