Matty Cash price Riser alert! Get him tonight as soon as you can.
What kind of boglehead is still buying Cash when he is 5m? Sure, he plays in an advanced position, but if you bought him after GW4, which is when is price really started to go up, you did not get much of a return from him. In fact, only a handful of points more than 4.7 Digne (not that I recommend buying him either, as he's one YC away from an automatic ban). White, Saliba, Ruben Dias, and almost all starting Newcastle defenders are better than Cash at this price range. Matty Cash is still a great deal at his current price of £5.0m. Not only is he the only £5.0m DEF in the top five highest points from a defender this season, but he's also a profitable asset. Since I got Matty Cash, I've made £1.0m, and he's expected to increase to £5.1m in a short time. By the way, I do not purchase players based on their team or cost, but rather on the match difficulty level. At the moment he's better than Saliba and White IMO. The four DEF you mentioned are far more expensive than Matty Cash and their streak of games isn't that good.

Cash is a good shout for sure. Villa's got 5 out of 6 easy games coming, and he'll probably rise in price even more. He did get half of his points from 1 game though - with 2 goals scored there. But to be honest, out of all defenders he's got by far the highest xG rating. He's on 3.12, Dunk is the next in line with 1.37 - meaning that he's finding himself in goal scoring positions quite often. That's actually a higher xG than Rashford's

NotATether, how did you count the yellow cards? Matty Cash has only had two yellow cards this season, and it takes five yellow cards in a row to be suspended for one game.

I said Digne has 4 yellow cards which can easily be verified on the FPL site.

I was looking for best 4.0 when game started and landed on Kabore. If Cash were that cheap he would have started in all teams. Cash is now 5.1, which means if you bought him before first price rise you actually earned 0.3M.

At the start of the season, only a few of us thought highly of Matty Cash. I bought Cash and Kabore at the same time, and I'm very sure Kabore was the cheapest at around £3.9m, while Cash was around £4.0m (is there any third-party scrapper to check the initial pricing of these players) I could be wrong. I'm not getting the calculation - If I get someone at £4.0m and he rises to £5.1m from my basic calculating that's a £1.1m increase. Nah? @NotATether - I read it wrong ( thought you said Matty Cash). Digne is a good asset but he's yellow card history isn't good.

I'm going to have to agree with Trofo here as I clearly recall Cash and most other Villa defenders were priced at 4.5m, and not 4.0m.
Reece James injured again, but I'm pretty sure no-one has him anymore (or Gusto). Maybe Son has something too, not 100% sure.

Reece James injured again, but I'm pretty sure no-one has him anymore (or Gusto).

Recce James is becoming a liability for us; now is the moment to contact Real Madrid, and for Gusto, I still have him; he's a valuable asset who will return soon.

For the most experienced players here, after international breaks, what is better, to make a transfer before they come back from national teams or wait until they arrive with the teams and start to see if they are gonna play or get rest?

Never make a transfer during the international break! There are always last-minute injuries and late and long travel for the South American players, thus they often get rest. Wait until after the pre-match conference on Friday to make your move.

Recce James is becoming a liability for us; now is the moment to contact Real Madrid, and for Gusto, I still have him; he's a valuable asset who will return soon. It's actually funny that I could say I saw this coming, because I remember some conversations here when I said Reece James is now an injury-prone player, that Gusto shouldn't be traded out before the break because his suspension period is already for the resumption once the the league returns from this break, apparently I wasn't wrong with my opinion, I believe Reece James in order to remain healthy and avoid this consistent injury crises might need to find some other adjustment to his playing style and which could be playing more into the midfield department or CB, where he can easily adjust with the use of less sprint or pace, to become a more stable contributor to the team, and that's what I'd expect of Poch upon Recce James' full availability with the group. Having a Chelsea defender doesn't even feel like a good decision right now, below is their next 7 fixtures and it doesn't seem like what they can a single cleansheet from.

Yep, considering how healthy James is, Gusto is a really good option to have - cheap and will probably play quite a bit of games.
I still have him in my team, but the problem with him is that he's playing in a disbalanced team that's looking at some really nasty fixtures coming up. I'd gladly swap him out, I even have some cash at hand - it's just that I always have a more urgent transfer to deal with.

Just like Neymar, Reece James will continue to experience injuries all through his career and that may force him to an early retirement. Even if the coach puts him in a better position where he can play differently, it will be delaying the inevitable. I am in a crisis this week, William Saliba may not play against Chelsea, he has a problem with his big toe. Casimero is also injured, Mitoma may not also play for Brighton this weekend due to illness, Isak is in doubt for the game against Crystal Palace, he is struggling with a knee injury. Awoniyi is also out. That is a total of five players in my team who are not sure to play this week. I already expect a bad result.

Just like Neymar, Reece James will continue to experience injuries all through his career and that may force him to an early retirement. Even if the coach puts him in a better position where he can play differently, it will be delaying the inevitable. Even after the revamp last summer, our medical team is still a mess; these players continue to get injured and take longer to recover; we had the biggest injury list last season and are already leading that statistic this season. So I'm compelled to agree with Harkorede to play James in a less taxing role at the back, or give him the Hazard privilege during training (light training) from the rest of the group. I am in a crisis this week, William Saliba may not play against Chelsea, he has a problem with his big toe. Mitoma is back, but you're in a bind, and if I were you, I'd take a hit to replace Isak, Casimero, and possibly Awoniyi as well, depending on the severity of the injuries.

The major cause of most consistent hamstring injury has to do with speed and sprint, like most of Ousmane Dembele's spell at Barcelona, but he needed to adjust his style of play over the last 2 seasons and he does less pace and sprint off the ball and plays more in from the flank rather than always staying very wide and using off the ball sprint, I believe this has helped him stay more healthy than he's first few years after the first injury which could have easily forced other players into an early retirement. --------------------- As usual after the international we've got so many players doubtful for this game week, I'll probably just keep my transfer for this week and approach the next game week more agressively.

Chilwell and James both sprint a lot and take a lot of tackles. Personally, I believe that the 3-5-2 system is detrimental to our LWB and RWB because it necessitates a lot of sprinting back and forth to cover up openings in-between lines. If James and Chilwell play in a good 4-4-2 system with less sprinting, their legs may be saved. The same thing happened to Kante, who did a lot of running off the ball in his 20s but struggled in his 30s. Vini Jr. should use caution as well, as he began experiencing hamstring injury in his early 20s As usual after the international we've got so many players doubtful for this game week, I'll probably just keep my transfer for this week and approach the next game week more agressively.
Lucky enough for me I have all my players available for selection. My only headache is Areola vs Onana at the moment.

I have no idea why you have Onana, but if you do, this is the game to play him. Sheffiled is the worst attack of the league (worst defense too) and if you are not playing him today then why did you pick him? And I am sure Aston Villa scores against West Ham.
Same goes for any other United asset, if you have them, play them today, that isn't even a decision worth thinking about. Make it easy for yourself, if you have a player with best fixture in your squad, he plays, otherwise don't have him in your squad. With exception of 3.9M bench fodder.

Seeing Manchester city destroy Brighton overshadows some real talents from Brighton that deserve some recognition...players like Mitoma are never praised but watching his game play against City has made me a fan and should be my next asset to own in the coming gameweeks, otherwise a clean sheet for City should reward us handsomely, fingers crossed.

Manchester United should win easily today knowing they are in panic/desperation mode, if not sell everyone after this game..and I know several FPL managers still own either Fernandez or Rashford considering that they are thr big performers. Btw with news of Sir Bobby Charlton passing, I expect this to be a dedication match... RIP Legend. Photo Credit: skysports.com

I've had him since the start of the season and he hasn't been entirely horrible, and I must say it was the most difficult decision I've made, and it could be the worst if he keeps Sheffield United quiet and Areola fails to. I know Westham could hold Aston Villa to a solitary goal, but I don't think the current Manutd defence is strong enough to keep a clean sheet; Manutd is dealing with a slew of injuries at the back. Rodri will always be the most important player in the Manchester City team, but I'm not sure why the fan base isn't pushing him for the FIFA award and Ballon d'Or like Chelsea supporters and the media did with Jorginho. He left the team for three games and they lost points, but he returned and the team is back on track.

United is terrible this season, but if they will so something it will come today against worst team in the league. That being said, now that all favorites won comfortably I am thinking United must loose tonight to give something back to the bookies.
Would have been great day for me if Not. Forrest managed to keep clean sheet. That would mean all my players returned and I would have won 180mBTC on a nice ticket where I only missed Forrest ML. Can't complain about fantasy really but that 180mBTC would have come handy
