Finally Nigeria have make it to the next stage, am really happy to see this wonderful achievement, Nigeria winning Angola was not a surprise to me because Nigeria are stronger than Angola and again Angola are distracted with the gift and promises, if really they allowed them to play with out making all such of noises at least they can perform better than this, I knew they will say they are motivating them which is good one but what if the opponent are stronger then you are forcing them to die, those promiser were thinking they want to motivate them but not knowing that they are pushing them to their easily grave, No matter what Angola can't win Nigeria with their current squad against Nigeria squad, I really salute the coach for trying his efforts to bring out best in them.

Do not underrate Angola like Nigeria just got to the match to easily win. It was not an easy win and Angola really tried and they tried their best but the day just did not favour the country team in the match. Nigeria got 3 shots on goal while Angola got 4 and a shot touch the pole and remain little to score. But nigeria also tried and worth to win. It even supposed to be 2 goals but Victor James Osimhen goal was offside and later not counted, but Nigeria still won. It was an interesting match and congrats to Nigerians.

Simon have been the most active player for Nigeria, he has really played his role. I am disappointed with Zaidu and Iwobi who I see as the weakest links in this Nigerian team. Nigeria lead by just a goal which is not safe, we need another goal in this game to feel safe because Angola are still in the game and can change things in a split second. Osimhen playing well but not as active as he was against Cameroon. Lookman remains our best finisher so far. It will be big if Nigeria make it through.

Zaidu could be said to have disappointed most of us and I say that because, he had a good head start in a ball, similar to what Moses Simon had with Osimhen well positioned to receive a pass and take the shot on goal but, Zaidu rather chose to be selfish and played the ball off target.
Iwobi on the other hand, I can’t say I have been impressed by him in other games but today, with the way he managed the midfield, distributing passes, I enjoyed his game play. Very little mistakes came from him in today’s fixtures.
Osimhen is someone that I remain hopeful to always create something spectacular but, it’s often amazes me how a striker of his quality isn’t getting goals on a regular run this fixture. He ought to be netting these balls. I get the fact that, he’s got defenses built about him but, he also gets those chances too and isn’t making good use of them.

Zaidu needs to step up his game, he was not impressive Nigeria would have scored more goals through his counter attacks.Ola Aina has been impressive but needs to be releasing ball fast to our midfielders or  attacks on time.
Nigeria played good football defence was solid, midfield tried and attack was biting seriously from both wingers. I think there is a big  chance for Nigeria to lift the Afcon in this year edition with the quality they have at their disposal.

Honestly Zaidu Sanusi doesn't merit a starting first eleven for the Super Eagle unfortunately he has to play and must be included into the team to fill the quota system, of course a Northerner must be in the squad usually it was Ahmed Musa, throughout this tournament his performance was below average, I think nothing can be done about it Peseiro just have to continue to him, Nwobi wasn't impressive too he easily lose ball possession and played wrong passes too, above all it was a good tactical display by the Super Eagle, I am particularly impressed with their defence line which I believe is the best in this AFCON competition looking forward their next match.

Nigeria are playing to expectation with a very high spirit in this game unlike how we have seen Angola held other teams they had played against in this AFCON to a stand still it is different with in this game against Nigeria. Like you said, the Nigeria defence is good nothing giving the Angola's forwards to see a space to trouble the goal post with shots. Right now Nigeria is leading with a one goal and we hope they be able to secure or get more goals as they come back to the second half.

Both sides have been good but, Nigeria has been exceptional in this particular fixtures compared to all the games they’ve played in the AFCON so far. It’s not just entertaining but, seeing how both sides keeps going forward and how the Nigerian defense intercept the ball at every given advance at goal shows the level of determination they came with in this square fixture of the tournament.
Alex Iwobi have been maned the mid field so dominantly and what a great pass he delivered to Moses Simone who made the move to create that goal opportunity for Lookman, Nigeria has just best there game in this quarter finals, no question.

What makes Nigeria exceptional is there defence line. They have good defence which has made their opponents in the last 3 matches to be able to penetrate. However, i enjoyed the performance of both teams today. Angola was only unlucky, because they had the chance to control the midfield more than the Nigerian players. I just felt they were too reluctant to make use of the chances within the midfield.

Playing against the Nigerian team, one need to put more attention in the midfield since that is the part that they are lacking in. If any team could take advantage of the midfield they would use those chances from that side and wil the game.

This wasn't the scoreline I was expecting but a win is a win. Angola did all they could but it has to be this way, the better side won which is the Super Eagles and Angola won't enjoy those gifts they promised them, too bad for them. I enjoyed the way Nigeria played today, everything was far different from what we saw in the group stage and the round of 16. Well this is just the beginning and for the Africa best player Osimhen, I believe a time would come when his goal would save the Eagles in the remaining games, I believe he still has like 2 goals in this tournament and to be honest with you guys, Osimhen doesn't have to score more goals to prove that he's the Africa best, his efforts alone shows that he has been contributing to his team mates.

People who underrated Angola is not good students of history because they forgot that it was the Palancas Negras that made Nigeria miss the World Cup when they won the Eagles 1-0 in a World Cup qualifier in June 2004. The match today was not even easy for the Nigerians because Angola would have also won the match because they also had some clear goal-scoring shots that were denied by Stanley Nwabali and the goalpost. I don't think the money the Angolan side was promised contributed to their high performance, the side is a good side that can beat any team in Africa.

Nigerian coach seems to have learned the Nigerian traditional playing pattern. The typical Nigerian side slows the game and plays defensive but has sharp attackers (especially wingers) who can break free or capitalize on any defensive error. I like the spirit of the Nigerian team because they look hungry to win the competition. You could see all the players including Victor Osimhen playing defensively always coming back to help the defense.

Dr Congo has taking the lead in the 65th minute with a penalty kick, but Guinea is dominating the match with good ball possession but Dr Congo is given too much pressure which was what resulted to the penalty.
Guinea is in the verge of saying goodbye because I don’t Dr Congo will take it likely with them, equalizing the goal will be hard now, but anything can happen, let’s wait and see.

Although he made it, it didn't count, so I won’t talk about that one currently.

The match is almost to an end now, and from all indications, the game has gone to the hands of CR Congo, who are winning with 3-1 goals, but the game is still ongoing. But it will be very hard for Guinea to equalise in the game again even though Guinea are playing well. DR Congo are not playing with their opponents; they just have their goal with any attack they are able to have.

 That is why, as the wise man said, it is not from who starts eating but who eats enough to his satisfaction. It is the same that happens in this game today because Guinea had their first goal, but now DR Congo are leading the match, so I will say we look forward to meeting South Africa against Nigeria in the semifinals and seeing who will go to the final, but I trust the super eagle to go to this final this season, so I will be happy to see that happens to Nigeria in the finals and being the trophy back home.

I did enjoy the moment Super Eagles played bravely and dominated the game from start of whistle till the end.
Osimhen was very impressive in his air challenges and I wished he did have great dribbling prowess like Ibrahimovic and can take on defenders one on one.

Perhaps he was being more careful and did as coach asked him to, else, he was well fitted in his role as striker and made way when he needed to and that's what created the opportunity for Lookman to net in the ball from Simon once the  Angolan defender moved with Osimhen out of goal coverage.

The best offside Player in the tournament is Victor James Osimhen. Has created a lot offside goals in the game. Even with all these goals and wins, I am not yet satisfied with Nigeria players. Though today goal was good but they have not really scored a goal that worth scoring except todays goal. Nigeria is going with luck and they might play the final. Angola possessed ball more than Nigeria even in the die minutes we saw it. Nigeria is always having the feeling that they can play more than the other teams and that is one of their problems to face others.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria once again showed the reason why the west African nation is referred to as the the Giants og the African continent with a solid performance against their Angolan counterparts in the ongoing CAF African Cup Of Nations. Before the kick of of the game, many had predicted that it'll be a difficult game for both teams which I totally concurred to but I was also clear with my opinion that the Nigeria national team are going to reach the semi final of the competition ahead of Angola.
The Angolan players also did well in the game and also have their all but it wasn't enough to break Nigeria's formidable defense line

First off, congratulations to the Super Eagles of my great country Nigeria for not Just winning against Angola but for also booking their place in the AFCON semi finals a very good one for all of us from Nigeria.
I followed the game form the beginning to the end and I can attest that it was really an interesting game and the super eagles played of Nigeria continued their formation where Victor Osimhen was the front man and it was a full man defense as usual. After the fantastic goal of the super eagles by Ademola Lookman, the Angola players came out in full force to attack but all their efforts were proved abortibw as the defensive line of the super eagles were too tight to penetrate.

The super eagles are getting the job done with even just one goal. It is not the safest way to win games, but it is working for the super eagles because of their very good defensive ability.

Seriously, Nigeria's performance has really improved. They started the cup with a poor performance, but as we can see, their performance has improved. The Super Eagles have been able to get to the semi final, and they will be playing against either Cape Verde or South Africa. The match won’t really be an easy one, but I still have confidence in Nigeria to win their next match, even if it is a 1 goal difference, the same way they have been winning most of their matches. Nigeria defensive is kind of strong, and their opponents are always finding it difficult to break, and the super eagles are always making use of counterattack.

Oh no. Nigeria is not playing Congo (at least not yet). Nigeria is playing whoever is the Victor of the Cape Vade vs South Africa game tomorrow. While Congo will face whoever wins the Mali vs Ivory Coast game. Defensively, Super Eagles have been the best team outright in this tournament. Of course, they'd still be tested time and time again in the semi finals and the finals if they go on to qualify for it.

It's one game at a time for now. No need to get ahead of ourselves now. Other team will have a had time dealing with Nigeria as well.
