The super eagles game is ongoing now and the Nigerian team are playing a boring draw with Guinea Bissau. I don't know why the Nigerian team always put itself in a complicated situation. They ought to have scored goals by now and take control of the game. I don't know but they should be careful before they get any unfavorable score line that will be detrimental to them.

They are now 1 goal leading Guinea Bissau, thanks to Moses Simon for that cross ball and even when Opay Sangate was the one that did that own goal, Number 11 Samuel Chikwueze and Number 9 Osimhen were active and ready to scored that goal. Overall, I'm satisfied with the central forward which Osimhen is protecting, the forward midfielders are also active, the defenders are not sleeping too but the way our back midfielders isn't connecting well, sometimes you wonder who choose this guys to represent super eagles.

Guinea Bissau aren't good like that, this should be a sweet and last moment for super eagles in the group stage. Now that they are leading with one goal, another one wouldn't be bad. It's time our coach bring in Troost Ekong to make this game look palatable, that guy has some fire in his right leg.

However, the Nigerian team are doing their best to make sure that they win this match but by now they should have scored up to 2 goals, with the kind of odds that they have and their squad they should have been on a 2 to 3 goals by now but it seems that the home team are given Nigerian FC a very hard time already..
Although the decoy half is just beginning and maybe there will be another home goal or a kick from one of the Nigerian players.

The Super Eagles deserve to be leading by now due to their excellent performance in the match. Guinea Bissau should not be a barrier to our qualification for the round of 16. They didn't put in as much effort at the start of the competition, particularly in their first and second matches, as they are doing today, and if they win, it will be well deserved. The Super Eagles have one of the best squads in the competition; all they need to do now is learn to play together more. Almost all of the first team players are also first-choice players at their respective clubs, so I believe they already have the necessary experience for this competition. Go, super eagles! and bring the trophy home.

We will not be anticipating an own goal, but rather a clear chance to score a goal that will appear more realistic and justifiable. Sometimes super eagles just don't give us the vibe we need from them in certain games, but overall, I have high hopes for them to win this match and advance to the next round of the competition. This will be an intriguing second half game, and I can't wait to see more goals from Nigeria, who have dominated the game more than their opponent.

Super eagles are still leading with 1-0 and now they are in second half and still the game doesn't look interesting to me because I don't expect super eagles should be playing like, upto now my mind is not at rest because Guinea Bissau are dominating the ball possession 51% which I wasn't expecting at all, but this shouldn't be a surprise to us game of this nature always show up like this, Guinea Bissau already know that they are not qualifying, since they knew it they will push harder to stop the super eagles from qualifying too, at least they will be happy to see that happening. I will assume since the super eagles have secured win already they are now playing defencive game.

Equatorial Guinea has already secured win that why they are playing a defencive game against Ivory Coast, this will be very sad for Ivory Coast for nothing making it out of group stage, but still since the game is still on any thing can happen, Ivory Coast are mounting pressure on Equatorial Guinea just that they stand on their feet to resist the pressure, Equatorial Guinea pressure is very huge one compare to what Nigeria are facing.

Equatorial Guinea is topping the table as they have scored more goals than Nigeria, and they also have the highest goal scorer, named Nsue. He scored a hat trick against Guinea Bissuat, and he also scored the first goal today in their ongoing match against Ivory Coast.

Nigeria is finding it difficult to score in the second half, and both teams have only been able to score an offside goal. If the match ends in favor of Nigeria, they will be 7 points and second on the table. It is a goalless second half and we hope to see if any of the side will score before the end of the game. An additional 5 minutes add as injury time.

If super eagles can maintain the 1 goal they secured in the first half to lead their opponent by making their defense and midfield more stronger than it was before, I think they will end the game with 0:1 to take the victory.

As it stand now in the second half, it will be very hard for ivory coast to equalized all those goals because there is no improvement from the side of their strikers for people to know that they will not give up easily to their opponent to disgrace them at this point to frustrate their efforts for the tournament.

Ivory Coast who are the host are in third place with 3 POINTS, single win and double loses, they have only 2 goals and conceded almost 5 goals.

Guinea Bissau are the last in the table with 0 POINT, no win, no draw but 3 loses, have 2 goals and conceded 7 goals.

I must admit that this is the first time I'm seeing the Super Eagles play so well in a long while. The confidence is high and their pass accuracy excellent. Chukwueze was in his best today as well as Osimhen. The only play that is physically present in the match but mentally absent is Alex Iwobi. He is really not in the match and I wonder why the coach has refused to substitute him.

What I don't like about the Eagles performance tonight is their inability to score. They have missed so many goal  chances and that is not cool at all. If they play a scoring side like Senegal, they will not survive it because their will definitely concede and without scoring, they have already lost the match. If they can work on their scoring, I think they will go far.

It was really a humiliating defeat against the host. How come the might Ivory coast have been reduced to nothing! I noticed that after the set of Yaya Toure set, Ivory coast have been struggling and unable to build a formidable team . Tonight they actually did the playing while Equatorial Guinea did the scoring. From possession to shots on target, Ivory coast lead yet they lost the match by 4 goals to 1. This is what makes football fantastic and full of surprises.

What that disturbs me about the super eagle's performance in this game and most of their games in this AFCON competition is that they have been finding it difficult to score more of goals even with our number 9 man Victor Osimhen having so many opportunities to score but still finds it so difficult to see the back of the net apart from that his account opening goal during their first leg game with Equatorial Guinea and making him to scoring only one goal in this competition after playing 3 matches, very our there African best player, Oshimhen.

The super Eagles where not converting a lot the chances they had on the goal mouth, there where a lot of one on one Simon Moses and Victor osimhen both had and they couldn't score,  the Eagles need to work on their finishing level, the defence and midfield are a bit solid but they should also improved on it.
The Equatoria guinea side where strong in there defence and where also impressive in their composure, they had a lot of ball control and had one or two chances, at a point they even scored to make the game 1-1 but it was disallowed by The referee as off side. The Eagles have enjoyed one goal victory for two occasions now, and they have come second on the group table, qualifying for the next round.

The eagles should have scored more goals, they are now at the second position in their group because guinea bisau is ahead of them by goal difference and I don't see that as safe enough because that will means the eagles Will be qualifying at the second position. The eagles played well today but the eagles do not have a fantastic keeper I'd not for his defenders,.if guinea had made some more attempts with good shots on target it's very possible they would have gotten a goal. Getting pass this stage when they will get to the round of sixteen they will meet teams that will try this keeper and then his flaws maybe exposed especially meeting teams like Egypt and others so far I can say the eagles have got a fair defense line a fair midfield and also their attack is fair too but they need to improve their performance if they are having the mind to be the champions of the AFCON

Literally the eagles didn't score a goal because the only goal awarded them was an own goal from guinea bisau but the second half was well dominated by the eagles and they did have one of their best performance so far.

Still not impressed with how we have gotten the points we have had in this tournament. We did not create any chance that we scored, asides from the equalizing goal in our first game, we have been poor in scoring goals. Good defensively, but still struggling in attack, Victor Osimhen not yet hitting it.

Ivory Coast who are the host are in third place with 3 POINTS, single win and double loses, they have only 2 goals and conceded almost 5 goals.

A shame for the host country, they looked promising from their first game, but sank right after Nigeria. Fofana is one of those players that looked like he would have been able to pick up MVP of the tournament had Ivory Coast been able to play to the finals.

The match has eventually ended and i feel disappointed at the result of the game 1:0 and it was an own goal.  Nigeria possessed the game had 12 shorts on target but  failed to convert to goals many of those  chances they had, with attackers commiting themselves to many offsides leading to their 2 goals being denied as a result.

It's sad to see that the hosting team Ivory coast has failed to qualify in their group haven lost shamefully to Guinea Bissau 4 goals to nil and ivory coast couldn't reply back with even just a single goal despite they been the favourite in that game tonight. Football never stop surprising us.

From my own observation on the match, it was luck that made Nigeria to win the game because we have good strikers but they couldn't show what they got, and instead they were missing good chances. I am happy that we have qualified to the round of 16, but the fa t remains that if Nigeria don't take scoring goal serious and work on that aspect, they might not survive the round of 16 to the next round. Imagine Guinea Bissau is with 0 point, and we could not win them by scoring a goal but instead, we won due to defensive error that led to an own goal. Nigeria should have won them with good number of goals. If you watch the host match Ivory Coast, you will see the beautiful goals that Equatorial Guinea scored. 4 classic goals.

Who could have imagine big teams would be struggling against small sides in this competition? We expect a lot from the biggest player in the squad and it hardly happens in African football. For Victor Osimhen, Nigeria expects to see him replicate his beautiful performances in Napoli for his country, he’s the African Player of the year and he should be scoring a lot of goals. He’s got 10 goals in the qualifiers and so far he’s been able to score only one goal in the tournament. It’s disappointing to now see him falter in front of goal. He gets the chances but he’s not been able to convert them. Victor Osimhen is not alone in this regard, Salah also hasn’t excelled in the African scene.

Right now, the most important thing for me is that the Super Eagles have qualified to the next round.

Osimhen has not had so many opportunities to score. He has barely had opportunities. Osimhen has 2 or 3 real chances to score in the 3 games they've played. I don't get why people try to scapegoat Osimhen. He's been good so far. He's the only attacker who is actually trying for Nigeria. He makes runs, he holds the balls well. He's doing everything correctly. How do you expect him to score when he's mostly in his half because of the way his team plays?

Let the qualifications not deceive anybody, Nigeria has been poor so far in this AFCON. They've not been impressive at all. They're not coordinated, they can't make good forward passes. I don't expect them to go very far in this tournament. If they meet a strong and well-condinated team in the next round they will be knocked out.
The only part of the Nigerian team that has been good is the defense. The midfield and attack have been too poor.
