I’m so excited for the AFCON final today, Nigeria vs Ivory Coast. It’s going to be a tough one for Nigeria, coming up against the host nation. I hope Joss Poseiro will be fielding his best players in this fixture, there should be no room for mistakes. The weak links in the team should not start the game. Alex Iwobi wasn’t impressive at all in the game against South Africa, I would prefer if he is benched and Yusuf is brought in the starting lineup. Osimhen hasn’t had the goals in this tournament but I believe he’s going to score at least two goals for Nigeria against Ivory Coast.

I think South Africa will win the third-place game because they have a better team than Congo DR. The Bafana Bafana has improved as the competition progressed.

Congratulation to the Bafana Bafana, they have been able to secure the third position in the African Cup of Nations. Today's match was a very tough one, and the two teams couldn’t secure a win until they went into penalty and South African won the match. Seriously,  South African won’t really be satisfied with their position, they really wanted to win the African Cup of Nations, but they were defeated by the Super Eagles in the semifinal. The Super Eagles will be playing against Ivory Coast tomorrow. The match won’t be an easy one and will be kind of difficult to predict, but if I am going to be predicting the African Cup of Nations winner this time around, then I will be predicting the Super Eagles to win.

Asides Williams being a goalkeeper for South Africa, and an authority in penalty shootouts, some of the south African players are very poor penalty takers. First penalty for South Africa against DR Congo, and the first penalty taker for South Africa fires wide to the goal post. South Africa still win the penalty because of the brilliance of the goalkeeper, with his two stunning saves. South Africa deserve to be third, they worked hard in this competition, and because  they are a young team who already play well, there is a lot of expectancy from them in other competitions like world cup qualifications that will start soon.

It will going to be a tough game as usual because their first leg it was tough before Nigeria struggle to secured two goals from the game but one goal was cancelled but Nigeria lead the game with 0:1 to beat Ivory coast in that competition which Nigeria fans are still expecting such favour to happen again in this game.

I guess Nigeria coach will do the right thing to ensure he use the right players to start the game today, so that what happened between them and South Africa last game will not happen again because penalty shootout is not what team are praying for which I know that Nigeria will win this final to achieve the trophy.

South Africa clinched the AFCON bronze after defeating DR Congo on penalties. It's a well-deserved win for them, showing they're a strong team in this tournament. Their achievement is impressive, especially considering the tough opponents they faced, many of whom have players from top European leagues. Very poor performance from both teams. None of the teams utilize their chances and I was wondering whether they both want to test the ability of their goal keeper in the penalty shootout. DR Congo were just unlucky totally both in the game play period and in the penalty shootout. If they were clinical and converted their chances, they would have won that game from first half. South Africa on the other hand seems as if they are not happy to play in the third place play off because that was not the same performance put up against Nigeria in the semi final. Congratulations to Bafana Bafana for winning the third place of this year tournament but that was not the best from them.

Today is the final day to round up the AFCON tournament for the year 2023. The host country will play against the giant of Africa. These two sides are strong opponents and the previous results justifies how they've been locking head in most of their meetings. It's definitely not going to be an easy game for both of them but our support is behind the super eagle tonight.

Going by the recent trends in the African nations cup, many unexpected events took place but now we are here to experience the finals between Nigerian side and ivory coast, though Nigeria won their last match which was a semi final with south Africa in a penalty shootout, that match wasn't an easy one for Nigerian side, south intensively attacked Nigeria with all the gat but their effort to win proved abortive, the match ended in a 90minutes plus draw, Nigeria should be careful this time allow south Africa to equalize with a penalty in that game is a bad one for Nigeria, such incident should not be allow to repeat itself in this final when you score as a team try as much possible to defend your goal, Nigeria team manger should try everything possible to select the best for starting of this game in other not to make a mistake.

Honestly the host nation was so lucky to have qualify from the group stage that many football fans thought it would be them (Ivory Coast) and Nigeria that will come out but things turn out to be different.
To me the finals has already been played in the semi final between Nigeria vs South Africa, that game was the strongest match the Super Eagles has played so far in this tournament. So what I'm saying is that we have beat the host nation ones and we're going to correct that mistake by scoring more than 1 goal in tonight's encounter because Ivory Coast don't have what it takes to be in the finals, they're not good and I know perfectly well that if the Eagles had converted their chances in their first meeting it would have been more than a goal and lets expect a goal or two from V. Well, I very much agree with you bud, though I am not expecting tonight's game to be an easy win for Nigeria, but I expect it to be easier than the experience we had with south Africa, I mean, man, that game was tensed, the rate at which many people viewing the match lost their lives due to high tension their hearts couldnt bear, confirmed the fact that, the match between Nigeria and South Africa was the most tensed match in all of this season's AFCON,,  while watching that game, my heart almost jumped out of my chest.

And coming back to today's game, I am not actually going to watch it, I do feel like, but for my healths sake, I will deliberately avoid watching the game, I will just follow updates on this forum and on this thread, ivory coast doesn't have what it takes to beat Nigeria, and if there is no partiality in the game, like ivory coast trying to play a home advantage kind of game, then todays game will be an easy win for Nigeria.

I will be very happy to see Osimhen crowing his efforts in this tournament with 2 goals just as you have rightly predicted. Though he hasn't been scoring but his impact on the team cannot be denied. He has clearly been so exceptional in this tournament. Hopefully he will get the goals today. He is African best for a reason and am happy he is playing for the super eagles and not against the super eagles. South African seem to have this love for penalty shoot out because in their last three games they had ended all in a penalty shoot out, starting from their quater finals game up unto their third/bronze place game, if Perceive it's probably because they think they have got a good goal keeper so they wouldn't have really worry rather penalty shoot out is usually their edge buy then it turned out that against Nigeria the case was different and they were not lucky rhat time even with their acclaimed good goal keeper who has successfully created a record in the history of football, I think breaking that height gave them so much confidence in penalty shoot out.

Today's fixture I Wish the eagles luck, although the host team are already having that home advantage but that the eagles are definitely not moved by that as they will give off their very good performance and I hope to see them lift the trophy... Good luck eagles.

Just like you, I'm also very excited that we've finally reached the day the final of the ongoing CAF African Cup Of Nations will be played and interestingly, it will be the Super Eagles of Nigeria playing against the host nation the Elephants of Ivory Coast.
It'll certainly be a very difficult match as I don't expect any of the teams to let in plenty goals as it is a final that both teams will certainly be going for a win. Just like bookmakers, I'm expecting the Super Eagles of Nigeria to win the game and lift the African championship trophy but I also expect the host nation to put in their best in other to win the competition at the end of the day. The bronze medal match is one that’s alway met with sluggishness because both teams haven’t been able to perform exceedingly in the final and they’re not majorly happy with the round they’re playing at. And that was shown in yesterday’s match. The match was met with sluggishness from both teams and one that was very recognizable was that of South Africa as this wasn’t the way they played the Super Eagles some days back. DR Congo were majorly unlucky in the match and the penalty shootout as they took the lead in the shootout but lost it at a point.

 The final is today and it’s going to be on tight fixture. As the host will ay the Super Eagles and these two teams have improved overtime in the competition and they come from the same group. Well I still throw my weight on Nigeria to win because they’ve got a rock solid defense and a reliable goalie and they’ve got fast paced attackers and wingers who’re always available when they’re called upon.

everyone is excited about the Afcon finals and we are prepared at what level Ivory Coast will bring it we are ready I saw a lot of videos where Nigeria Super Eagles are building up morale and we are going to do anything possible to carry the AFCON Cup. we know it won't be an easy game for the Super Eagles but we trust them, and I hope something fishy does not happen since they are the ones hosting, and it is always difficult to predict so but based on what we have seen and heard Nigeria will do well if it is based on performance Nigeria still have a good chance.  the coach would have drafted out his plan and I love the Nigeria coach his smart and his confidence will win us that cup, and I wish Ahmed Musa could play in the first half.

Congratulations to them, it now remains the first and second place of the AFCON tournament to be occupied by either the Super Eagles or the Ivory Coast. One of the mentioned countries will either take home the gold or silver of the AFCON tournament tonight.
As a Nigerian, I am looking forward to seeing Super Eagle lifting the AFCON trophy, but it won't be an easy one for them since Ivory Coast is planning for revenge on Super Eagle since they first lost to them in the group stage.
Since neither nation has won the AFCON trophy in a long time, there is a lot of tension in the game and everyone is rooting for their country to win.

Seriously, I never expected Ivory Coast to get to the African Cup of Nations final. I didn’t follow up on their match after they qualified from the group stage, but we all know how they struggled before they were able to qualify for round 16. I was thinking they would never get to pass round 16. Luckily for them, they are now in the final, and they will be playing against the Super Eagles in the final today. Seriously, I don’t really know how it’s going to be, but the match will be a difficult one for the two clubs.
 
Ivory Coast are the host of the African Cup of Nations, they will want to do everything possible to win the cup today, and we all can see that the Super Eagles are also playing well, and they will also want to win the match today. Seriously,  the match will be difficult to predict, but let’s just wait and see the result of the match.

True with Alex Iwobi, we haven't seen too much of his creativity. For Yusuf I haven't seen that guy play so I can't say nothing about him. I just hope to see Alex Iwobi buckle up during the game tonight.
Ivory Coast wouldn't come soft, they off course knows we're a major threat and force. We have to do all we can to turn winners.

Today’s match is going to be the most exciting match to watch since the beginning of the AFCON. Nigeria will be facing the host nation and it is going to be a tough one for them to face lots of Ivorians fans that will be coming to watch the match today in their hometown. Nigerians have played well till now even though others have seen it as a game of luck to have come this far, I believe luck still favours those who work towards achieving it. The lineup today should be the most excellent one and the Nigerian coach should have knows the best players to start with today.

Alex Iwobi is good and Yusuf is also a good player, although they play differently but they bought have their impact in the field when they’re playing, it is left for the coach to decide who befits to start the match first. Osimehn is a clinical striker and I am sure he will give the Ivorians defenders a tough time in the eighteen yard box. If he can’t score, he can make them conceive a penalty in their eighteen yard box. A talented striker he is, I expect him to be at its best form today.

One of the beauty of such a final as tonight is when it ends with a penalty kick, after two full halves have been successfully played and yet both team still playing draw, but in the case of this final AFCON game between Ivory Coast vs Nigeria, I won't buy the idea the Super Eagles letting tonight's game linger til penalty kick, as you never can tell, any single mistake you are already off the track, and as such, I just wish the Super Eagles of Nigeria don't fall our hands, as all hope is strictly on this game starting from one and a half hour from now.
