Tomorrow the Super Eagles will clash horns with the Bafana Bafana side which I some how think will be a very difficult game for the Eagles because the Bafana Bafana side have about 9 players in their starting eleven (11) who are playing in one club all home base players.
This is something Nigeria is suppose to be worried about because these guys really know how each and every one of them move on the field of play and for our Eagles is something different all together, is this something we have to worry about?
To me we have been doing perfectly fine with these players we have but this only have to prove that our league is not up to standard so NPFL or whosoever is in charge should try and build the league to be like the S/A league or even better.

I don't think that there is cause to worry about the Nigerian team playing against the bafana bafana despite that most of their players are used to each other plying their football in their home league.

My worry however is the health scare of Victor Osimhen who didn't join the team to missed the team to Bouake on yesterday because of abdominal pain and discomfort. Osimhen is a very utility player for the Nigerian team but if he doesn't recover for the match then Paul Onuachu would start the game. For me I prefer osimhen to start the game because of his speed, strength and confidence on the ball. Bafana playing at home is not a criteria to be scared of afterall they are not playing at home soil so it won't matter.

Well it shouldn't be a big problem but the Eagles still need to be careful, those guys are deadly and won't want a situation where we're going to decide the winner in a penalty shootouts, that I won't want to see.
V. Osimhen's case to me is something we shouldn't be too worried about, fine he might be down but I see it as a strategy to give the opponent that 100% confident in coming out in this encounter. The South Africa players are going to be happy that their threat (V. Osimhen) is not going to play and I believe that when they get the news (which they have already) that he's fine their morela will drop immediately, so I'd say it again that is just a mind game.
And again, our wingers even the midfielders need to help V. Osimhen a lot so that he won't over work himself, not in a situation where he needs to score like a one on one situation he'll miss it because of tiredness.
In the last game you can see him running back to win the ball and still running back to receive the ball in the 18 yard box and it won't still get to him which is a bit frustrating, that's not how they play in their individual club side and they should apply it in the national team side, if that happens we can get more than a goal in that game.

the Super Eagles are impressively clinical throughout. so i'm confident they'll get a win over South Africa. The Eagles seem to be in good command of the tournament; all they need is a bit more encouragement. i mean they have everything it takes to beat South Africa.
But as you know in football, surprises can happen, and Nigeria might face a tough challenge from South Africa in the semis! but fingers crossed for Nigeria to emerge as the winner in the Nigeria vs. South Africa match-up that's all.

I watched the last match between south Africa and Cape Verde and I was really disappointed at the level of play of Banana  Bafana players. They were pressed heavily in that game and were lucky Gilson kept missing important chance to put Cape Verde in front.

The savior they had was their keeper who's very good in saving penalties. I'm really optimistic that super eagles will win them tomorrow, but as we all know, football isn't mathematics and they will prepare even more with the status of the match at hand. Osihmen its also injured at the moment and I just pray he recovers for the match cos his impact is second to none in the front line.

Statistically and by past head-to-head matches between Nigeria and South Africa, Nigerians have a lot of wins than them and South Africa have only won once in their last five meetings with each other. This was actually my prediction that Nigeria and Ivory coast will play the finals but what really decieved me was when someone wrote that Nigeria was going to meet Ivory coast in the semi finals. But now they are not meeting each other, it is fine they meet in the finals.

But this edition of the African Nations Cup has big names exited. So to give the clear sense of the underdogs edition of the nations cup, Ivory coast and Nigeria need to bow out for Congo and South Africa.

This AFCON is one of the most interesting AFCON competition with thrilling events and astounding eliminations of teams fans never thought would exit the competition at the stages they did.

The bafana bafana boys of South Africa are not an easy team to beat as they didn't find their way to this stage of the semifinals by a streaks of luck but team hard work and determination. If the Super Eagles of Nigeria fail to beat the South Africa team within the 90 minutes of the match allowing South Africa to force them into extra time leading to penalty kicks then I fear for the chance of Nigeria qualifying to the finals because the South Africa goalkeeper is one of the best if not the best penalty kick saver in this competition. And I think that's how the South Africa side will want this game to lead to but I hope Nigeria finds all means to avoid it.

though I wrongly wish that Nigeria will secure a bug win in this encounter against south Africa, the level of trust and hope we are putting on our supper eagles could affect their concentration in this match. Their is this great advantage that comes from playing as an underdog in a match, it gives you this mentality of giving in a big fight just so you can prove your critics wrong.

The odd is in favour of the supper eagles and Almost all the analysts are predicting a win for the supper eagles. I only wish that they don't allow this to get into their head oh! They have only one business to do and that's securing a win for the nation.
