Why would someone submit his personal documents to an untrusted platform! You should not even play there, let alone entrusting them with your personal information.

There have been countless cases of people losing significant income due to casinos requesting KYC after winning; I consider this a deliberate attempt to steal people's fund.

The problem is not with the KYC requirement itself. The problem is with shady/scam service providers (ab)using it as an excuse to seize customers' funds.

This is my stand on this because I have done KYC in reputable casinos and it is always easy and fast. The process and requirements are all spelt out and when met, the KYC is approved.

Awful cryptocurrency exchange. Even without KYC it is one of the worst exchanges i`ve used.
I was KYCed very often and can say that several times i was KYCed about a week. It was videocall, with asking the questions about gambling, why i decided to make such a bet, the football rules, etc.
It is only about good, well-known casinos. Twice i was KYCed about a month and got decreased withdrawal limits, with wagering requirements. As the result i withdraw my money about 2 months. It was less than $1000.

I see the "untrusted" remark to be a reason for a restraint, any casino you do not have a high degree of trust in should not be considered for registering not to mention submitting your details and documents with them. This is especially the new ones that are just sprouting up like mushrooms and the old ones that are not reputable with too many complaints by people.

People are victims of data leaks daily and most of them will never be known by the victims. They may just be leaked for some purposes, especially for email and phone numbers where you might not know it's from them. In rare cases, some bad actors may find a way to clone the passport ID of another simply because they are privy to their data, we've heard and read enough of the risks associated with this KYC. It’s just such sudden transitions from the fact that KYC was not required, and as soon as the player begins to withdraw his money to his wallet, then suddenly KYC becomes necessary, and are that disgusting action on the part of the casino that can completely ruin all the high and festive mood  player that arose after winning.  In my opinion, this is generally one of the most serious problems in the entire gambling industry with payments in cryptocurrencies.  And since payments are made in cryptocurrencies, such a problem should not have existed at all, in principle, based on the status of the cryptocurrencies themselves.  However, over the past decades, regulators from different countries and anti-money laundering fighters have simply come up with it for all of us.  And now, out of nowhere, they have created an extra problem for all the players.

So far I have one verified gambling account only which is my Stake's account, it was not a long process since my account was verified within few hours only.
Of course the speed of the verification process will be depending on some factors, the most crucial one is the human resources on the platform who are in charge to do the verification process.
