Now, neither of these address the "we make lots of money buying shares" secret... I won't spoil that for everyone...
At some point, the "we have a secret technique" people are going to begin to sound like the people who create a book that spills the beans on how to get rich quick that in the end, explain the secret is to merely write a book wherein a secret is promised and the author promises it will sell like hotcakes. Kind of an infinite loop. Umm.. seriously.. I think we passed that point about 4 pages ago Sigg

Update;
Something has gone wrong. We are working on it.
As I work in IT production support, I lost it when I saw the above. I would just love to get on a conference call and say "Update: Something has gone wrong, We are working on it." and then just drop without giving any more details.. Somehow I don't think I'd have my job much longer after that Just had to get that out of my system .... OK, everyone back to trying to figure out nefarious purposes to buying hash power Sigg

EA does this all the time. Take BF3 for example... you fail to connect to a server, the error is literally: "Something has gone wrong".
Well no fucking shit, Carl... My first clue was that the game failed to load. Sorry, I had to vent about that BF3 error. It's just so fucking stupid it makes me stabby.

Update:
Those miners using Goat's pool as their offline pool are not getting anything to him. At this point it looks like his system is unable to handle the connections for a single IP or source. So I would suggest changing your private pool to something else until I can get with Goat to work out the issues.

Wow, can I have your business users? Mine expect updates every couple minutes when we have an outage. Then you have the always helpfull suggestions of "just reboot it" .. well, umm.. you CAN'T just "reboot" an entire mainframe LPAR. *sighs* .. sorry for the off-topic tangent.... Pirate, please let us know when you get the goat-pool issue worked out... Maybe it would help to reboot it?

Throwing 48/gh+ at his system instantly is hard on any system but hopefully we can work it out.

I support 500 VDI's and 20 virtual servers with 900 possible students and employees that use the system. When something fails we say "We know it's broken we are working on it" and usually we are allowed to ignore all phone calls while we fix the problem. Then we send out an e-mail when it is fixed. This puts maximum attention on the problem instead of talking to end users non-stop as they call in to the helpdesk.

Update:
We're going to suspend purchases for the next couple hours so we can work out some issues with offline pools. So if your purchase has not started you know why.
Thanks,

Pirate,
what miner software do you support? I can connect with Phoenix but it reports some problems about the communication from time to time.
no i am using CGMINER but it can't connect to your pool. I am wondering if you have a fix for this?
Anyone else has the same problem?

I tried using Phoenix in guiminer, but I ran into the same problems. I am now using cgminer with the poclbm kernal and it runs a little slower than poclbm in guiminer, but at least it doesn't crash or run my cpu at 100%.

Can you elaborate on this? Are shares being accepted? Will my miner fallover? I have been mining there for 2 days

Can you elaborate on this? Are shares being accepted? Will my miner fallover? I have been mining there for 2 days When we either don't have purchases that hit your PPS rate or we halt purchases for testing and updates, all of our miners fail-over to their private pools. Those using Goat's system as their private pool causes a mass chunk of over 48GH+ to instantly be delivered to his server. This causes a crazy amount of getwork requests that causes miners to drops like the server is down. From our logs it looks like it takes about 15 minutes for his server to start responding again to handle the connections. I have made numerous attempts to contact Goat at this point and have yet to hear back from him, but i'm sure he is busy. This is in no way a "kill your competition" situation as I have a lot of respect for Goat, but also want to protect our miners and want them to be making all the money they can with their hardware. The problem is when we have 48Gh+ worth of getwork requests going unanswered it loads up our system and can cause issues with miners not using Goat's pool. So we're trying to prevent that from happening and I'm sure we'll get it worked out soon.
