I am noticing that with new wallet, clean blockchain even whole new wallet.dat/new address my wallet is only making two at most three connections when there should be four? Seems to be getting disconnected. Has one of the nodes been switched off or is my ip ban in network or is this some other issue?
Ditto

Only 2 out of 4 connect=

Yes the nodes are being upgraded, it's temporary.

Thanks, I thought I broke something. I see I'm back to four now.

As soon as my wallet tries to confirm a transaction it immediately drops that forth connection? I don't think it is behaving quite as it's meant too?

Good to see that we are "ironing out the wrinkles" before PoW kicks back in Smiley  Unfortunately I am down to 1 GPU in my home ent system for mining (when I am not watching movies LOL) until I replace MB in dead mining box Sad
did you get the new wallet to work
Downloaded both the recommended dmdchain and new windows wallet and installed as per instructions.  Started up just fine and already synced.
thank you  Smiley

when pow goes active again it will be Groetsl algo again right?
yes
but with all the experience people gathered now at
http://multipool.bit.diamonds/
u can basically mine DMD with any major algo
with groestl direct and with a lot indirect
i dont see groestl algo there
ok ill do x11 but the new wallet wont work..windows blocks it

tbearhere, Groestl is a kind of in the wallet algorithm that is used for hashing transactions - you can mine Diamond Solo or in Mining Pools.
Right now, Proof of Work block generation is not working and is not permitted at the same time (due to our mistake).

Diamond Multipool with different algorithms is a completely different thing. You don't mine Diamond directly, you do not secure the network mining at that pool.
Mining at http://multipool.bit.diamonds/ you mine other coins - these other coins are converted into BTC, and BTC into Diamonds. So you can mine any algorithm you fancy and get pay-outs in Diamonds.
Even though, you do not contribute with network protection by mining at Diamond Multipool, instead you help to create and increase market demand for Diamond, which is also good.

In the coming weekend the PoW will get back on-line and we will be able to mine Diamond directly (solo/mining pool) helping to secure it (with Groestl). Until then Diamond Multipool is a nice alternative.

fact is longterm the same amount of cash invested into DMD cloudmining would have gave ya more DMD
because DMD cloudmining hashpower increase for free and u pay no maintainance at all

i would love if u keep track how much $ u invested in ur miner and how many DMD u earned
and then we compare in a year what the same investment in DMD cloudmining
would have generated for u and continue to generate

For the first time ever Chrome threw up a malware warning about the wallet. I have never had this happen with the Diamond wallet.

I ditto that. Very strange.
But this happens only when downloading from danbi's webiste. It hasn't shown the warning message when downloading from SourceForge.

That's what Google has to say:
Quote
You attempted to download something from an unfamiliar and potentially dangerous website.
----
To help protect you, Google maintains a list of websites that are known to host malicious downloads and a list of trusted software publishers.
Google warns you if you try to download something weird or something from a dangerous website.

So, I assume the system is a bit overreactive.

Guess, I haven't paid some ransom to whoever supplies this "useful information". Google again, perhaps...

The Internet had become the Wild Wild West for all kinds of prey hunters. Sad situation. Maybe time has come for some cleaning up the field Smiley

By the way, nothing hosted on that site has ever touched anything Windows, so it could not possibly come infected. I make a point to manually, out of band load any content there.

I brought the miner from trade me for $46 NZ and it says it mines scrypt at 1.3MH. I'll tell you when it gets here and I switch it on you will be able too see the stats on the multi pool page.

The current block explorer is struck on an invalid PoW chain. It should unstuck when PoW starts, but I decided to use the situation to start a new one.. Soon will be available.

You could inspect the block chain with the Block Crawler at http://dmdpool.digsys.bg/bc/

Happened again, sent coins to my wallet from Cryptsy this time.. Dropped the forth connection but this time picked it up again straight away, but..

Then it dropped out of sync and says it's sitting 5 blocks behind? Very strange behavior.
