That 'unknown' hash sure is creeping up! 26% of total hash-rate or 133 mh/s..

Do I smell an ASIC?  Huh

Can this be a large private farm? It's bigger than nanopool with 90000 users mining XMR!

It couldn't be asic. There is just no way that anyone could roll out an asic that quickly.

The unknown hashrate is almost certainly botnets.

If it is that would correspond to my earlier conjecture on the size of their impact on this chain. Lets hope so. Smiley

What was your earlier conjecture? What percentage of the hashrate do you reckon is botnets?

IIRC it was 20-25%

It's interesting how much the hashrate will be decreased after the hardfork. Can we really go back to the old numbers. There will be no ASICs, there will be no part of botnets (since their mining software will not be updated immediately).
Is this true? I believe the hashrate would decrease a little thought but because of different minor reasons.

I'm going to take a guess and call it as 10% of the hash right before the spike in January right after the fork. This may be an opportunity to figure out (roughly) what percentage of hash botnets are.

This guess was pretty damn on the spot.

https://www.coinwarz.com/network-hashrate-charts/monero-network-hashrate-chart

I'm still looking for the other post. I hate trying to search post history I'm terrible at it.

Bah, I just wasted an hour going through old posts and I can't find where I guessed at the percentages, IIRC it was 10% increased from pre ASIC, 20-25%(might have been 15-20? can't quit remember) Botnet that would slowly come back online. And I said something like "I am pulling these numbers directly from my ASS". But I'll be damned if I can find it.

I did stumble on this, the bolded that was spot on LOL.

Hey I'm going to predict the bottom. I bet Monero will meet a lot of resistance at 0.02 and Bitcoin will meet a lot of resistance at 6000. So 0.02*6000=120. Let's see how close I get. Someone quote this post someday if I get it right.

done.

Shit forgot to warn you guys, I put a long in @ .0244 that should mean no reversal in sight for at least the weekend! Cheesy
You can check if your guess was correct or not. Smiley
I'm done wading through old posts and trying to read them backwards out of context. Lol

I recommand that you can try Bittrex exchange. There is a great deal of trading volume that will satisfy your demand.

Monero is the only one true anonymous coin.
So if you like to buy Monero really anonymously,
well there is only one true anonymous exchange:

I would choose Binance over Bittrex any day of the week. And Polo seems to have taken care of it's issues but is now KYC so if you don't mind having Uncle Sam know your info then Polo and Coinbase is all you need.

Has anyone besides this N00b account tried this?

So there is a digital Exchange Inc in Colorado which offers foreign currency exchange services.

Our Exchange is Legally registered Company with Ministry of Commerce and passed all reviews and checks so you can proceed with confidence and peace of mind.

So obviousley this needs more looking into and I don't have the time but first thing is to call that Colorado office and get a look at the "Legally registered Company" documentation from the Ministry of commerce in Cambodia I guess and why not check thialand too.

Anyone have any time and can do this have at it.

Monero is one of the last projects that is continuing the vision of decentralization. Its also one of the few privacy coins that is actually private. I believe in Monero long term, even more long term than bitcoin and ETH as governments begin to track transactions on ledgers. It will be the final safe haven for financial privacy. Buy now folks.

Very interesting.  I'm inclined to believe it's not a scam.
However, the danger is that if the feds get wind of it they will put the arm on the Cambodian finance ministry and force them to close it or require KYC/AML.
It's likely this won't last in its present form.  A bitcoin atm card that doesn't even require your name is too good to be true.
I was in Cambodia a couple of years ago.  Fun fact:  you can get U.S. hundred dollar bills from the atms there.  You don't even need Cambodian riels in Cambodia.  Everybody takes dollars.  You'll get the small change in Cambodian riels.  When you come back to the States you can give the Cambodian paper money away.  Some of the bills are only worth pennies.  You'll see no coins in circulation in Cambodia or Vietnam.

Thanks Millionero. Cambodia is one of the last free countries on Earth. So that's why it is possible. And they don't like USA here Smiley
So no worries... "This is Cambodia and we are sovereign country and we do our own laws." as Prime Minister said in TV.

I just love people that screaming it's scam because some noob wrote it somewhere and never ever tried...
Actually on this forum are few Legendary members using our ATM cards for months. Even in USA.
And everybody is very happy with our services.

If you think our site is scam please feel free to use any USA or EU based exchange website.

Huh, I always thought Kampuchea was run by an authoritarian/dictatorial government under the thumb of Prime Minister Hun Sen for the past 30+ years.

Hey, but if I can get ATM cards that work here in ASEAN that'd be great  Grin

He probably thinks "anyone dumb enough to fall for this deserves it". I'm almost inclined to agree...

I reported him but I'm not 100% sure about this one. I wonder if I will lose my 100% reporting accuracy. I probably wouldn't have done it if he wasn't a newbie but that just pushed it over the edge.
