Impossible to tell now because there are so many variables, How much exactly would be sufficient for you to retire "in USD"? How much BTC would worth in 20 years "which is impossible to tell lol" but probably around 1000 BTC.

Even if it is USD it is hard to tell also. We dont know if USD will also fall in the coming years. I guess it will the precious stones and metals who will be really valuable in the future.

USD lost its value ever since way back.

Its been losing its own value ever since, and doesnt hold its merit. Stones and metals are only valuable if youre going to have an audience thats willing to buy if not its the same view as any other exchange.

still dollar is good comparing to euro and that is good thing
euro is fluctuating 2 much

You will need a lot of bitcoins, and not just a small amount but a large amount, if I´m honest I do not even think it will make it from now.
The fact is also that its difficult to predict due to the future of the bitcoin itself.

Indeed its not to predict at all because you do not know how much it will be worth in about 20 years.
So it can not be said, if you want to calculate it with the numbers right now you will need a lot and I mean a lot!

Yeah you need a lot of bitcoins for retire in 20 years. And you also need to count the inflation on that years too. So yeah, you need many bitcoins for that, maybe around 100 bitcoins ?

come on. 20 years is not a long time. in 1996 ago $ 400k is very large. so was also present $ 400k is very large now. so you can see the picture from now, maybe what you need is more than $ 100k

100k is nothing to retire on with no income and possible health problems in old age.  That would be a pretty iffy old age, some carry on working and some are not able.  Japan has 80 year old in their mcdonalds because their population stopped growing so they still use old people and their bonds pay 0.1% interest

Point is the world population is growing, so many people and you think even more bitcoin will be needed to pay.  If the world does not use bitcoin and so make it valuable then it's value will be tiny, I see it as one or the other.   Price should rise if bitcoin is so stable thats its used in 20 years still, so we talking a dozen

at least, you should have a target amount to obtain bitcoin. then you can count, how much should be obtained every week or month.

many people would predict that the price of bitcoin will rise in the future. maybe more than $ 2,00. if it really happened in the 20 years to come. we probably would only need a few bitcoin. but all could happen in bitcoin. so collect as many as you can is the best choice

Depends on how much bitcoin is worth in 20 years, I am pro-bitcoin so I would say it would be around $2000-$3000 dollars and therefore would require around 300-500 bitcoins to retire.

I am also pro-bitcoin my my estimation is a bit more optimistic. In 20 years Bitcoin will be at least $10,000 (I think it will cost more than that but I'm saying at least).

So IMO to retire in 20 years you'll need 200-300 Bitcoins depending on your demands.

Probably you would need around 300-400 bitcoins overall to retire if you are living in a second or a first world country IMO.

it's very difficult to collect that many bitcoins nowadays. people should have been collecting them when the price was still below $100 as it was a more than great buying opportunity. that's how i look at it. wealthy people with deep pockets can buy that many bitcoins right now and hold it for a long time. their fiat holdings will decrease and decrease, which makes bitcoin a great store of wealth option for them with a fantastic potential return.

Yes he has to have a stable business for relying on it as a retirement fund. Because not only bitcoin but with any currency it is the situation that if its value fell then you fell and will have nothing.

The fact is also that its difficult to predict due to the future of the bitcoin itself.

Yeah you need a lot of bitcoins for retire in 20 years. And you also need to count the inflation on that years too. So yeah, you need many bitcoins for that, maybe around 100 bitcoins ?

The amount will always be in a limbo flux since you wont know the value of price for 1 btc.

But estimately if the price were ideally stable then $1k value per 100 btc = $420k.

i dont think that price will go stable on $420 each btc, i think that more lower like $350~$400
so i prefer to take 50~150 BTC on the future fund while pension

Its hard to say, because you never know what will happen with the value. You can only need 1 Bitcoin because the value is very high.
Or you need 10000 Bitcoins because the value is very low. So it is hard to predict and you can better see Bitcoin as a bonus or something.
