I think you should be good with 100 btc. This mostly depends on what bitcoin will be worth in 20 years.
I think around 100 is good enough anyway.

in 20 years 1-2 BTC will be enough to retire on.

Dude you realy think it will be enough i mean i want to have at least 20 just to be sure

Thats not enough. It depends on requirement. For sure you have 20years more. So that can have a try to get 5bitcoins every year which will count to some 100bitcoins which is more or less enough based on your necessity.

Wrong. in 20 years, bitcoin's value will either be high (say $50,000+) or very low (say under $100).

In either case, you won't need 100 bitcoins because it'll either be not nearly enough, or you will need much less.

that satoshi prediction started in 2010, so 6 years already passed, it's 14 years remaining at this point, not 20 anymore, the final target is 2030

and anyway i doubt 1-2 btc will suffice for a retirement

How much do you think bitcoin will be worth in 2030?
I'm always wondering this since you don't need to be a millionaire to retire

going by simple math based on the halving, and on the fact that the value will not remain at this point because of that reason, i can estimate around 10k(8k to be precise) for 2030, as a minimum value, not peak

I am wishing that what you said can be true if bitcoin will be 10.000 dollars worth in 2030 oh damn I will be a happy champ.
But the problem with bitcoin we can never know what will happen and I think it won't be that stable for that price.

So lets see what is going to happen in year 2030 man I don't like waiting.

You need to wait mate if you want to enjoy the profits, but I believe not to wait till 2030 as it is a long span of time, and maybe bitcoin would not survive till then, so its  better that we believe in present and keep on playing with bitcoins when there is price fluctuations, I feel having 100 bitcoins at a moment can be a descent amount to hold for next 5 to 10 years.

yeah 100 btc should suffice if you aim at 1M to retire, the best compromise is having 100 btc at 10k each, because 10k is still feasible in medium not too long terms

any other amount is either too costly or too cheap

The question is if it will ever is going to happen at 10.000 dollars in 20 years is just so difficult to reach that huge amount of money.

Depending on how pessimistic your view to bitcoin price is, For me I think btc would grow massively so around 10 BTC's should be enough! just a guess though.

If you want to spend your retirement in luxury (and in USA, Europe etc...) then around 1000 BTC should be enough if BTC reaches $10,000, All of this is pure prediction though since you don't have a clue how much BTC will worth.

Yeah trying to have 100 Bitcoins in my wallet men that is some risky shit.

I just rather have under the 50 Bitcoins try to just sell when the price is up and trade when is low or something. To juest earn some money.

that 100 Bitcoins is for investment, but it's up to you if you rather want to choose have under 50 but sell it if the prices up
no exact bitcoin you can hold, but hold as much as you can. and hope for prices on future will be $1000 each Bitcoins

not necessary we know only how many halving will happen
if calculate halving now (20 year with 4 year halving period we have five) price will increase let say 50% each time
it may be around 2k in price we dont know now will influence economy or will it be recognized as fiat currency if so they may be even higher
so my estimate is 2-3 btc a year in this scenario in years around 50 would be fine

10 BTC is good amount to hold if the value reaches to $10k but we are not sure what would be price of bitcoin in future so playing safe I believe 30 BTC can be a good amount to hold even if the value doesn't reaches to $10k mark, so if the value is around $5k then 30 BTC can take care of us during retirement.

to speak of such long term as an investment and that this period will be a constant growth of bitcoin, which at this state we can talk about more than a reduced period of time, but on the other hand, you need to talk about tools and ways for attractive investments, which will be summarized in this technology, and what you need to understand that bitcoin is to be finding in circulation as money, and that the wording might be incorrect to this date, and what to count on endless growth is not necessary, having competition and technological cooperation, and that all the money in the world specifically to bitcoin money of the Corporation not up to snuff, though

I agree with you the only problem is how easily can you get 30 coins. 10 is still hard to get but more achievable.. for now because it won't last long and I'm sure cheap coins will be over.

Yeah, 30 is maybe pushing it too much. 10 is more realistic. So I would still say that 21 BTC is the way to go, we can still achieve this if we keep buying monthly while the price is under 4 figures, which will not last for long but we must hope that the price doesn't explode soon.

Bitcoin's value if ever reaches to the dream value of Satoshi, then these 10 BTC would obviously be making this guy live a king-sized life after retirement...
It's just that however much someone tries to save, they should do so, and even trade during panic sells, but with caution...
They should not just save, but grow their coins if they want a secured future with BTC alone...

That would be amazing if it increased so much that your 2 btc would be worth 2 mill in the future but it could also go the other way and become worth 2 cents..  Lol  Roll Eyes

That won't cut it for use. I think you need way more then 10 BTC.
If you want to have a good pension/retirement try to get your hands on as many bitcoins as possible.

Eventhough the rate is going high and the technology is well proven, it requires some efforts so to get involved in bitcoin. When it comes to future for sure we are in need of atleast 50 bitcoins according to my calculations. Because human predictions may go wrong in bitcoins value

The price would have to go up very high before you can even think about retiring. So you would need a lot of Bitcoin.
