I think you need a lot of bitcoins to retire in 20 years with bitcoin.
The question is if the bitcoin than still exists after 20 years, will it survive ?

I'll probably trade it for ETH after a year or two. If the bitcoin strength decreases due to the upcoming altcoins, we need to adjust as well.
What are you skeptical about bitcoin. so prefer altcoin or ETH. when bitcoin weakened?
I assure you that bitcoin will be better than altcoin. so I'm still going to collect bitcoin. as much as possible for my retirement

Yeah, that's right and we cannot predict the exact value of bitcoins to hold, as we are not sure about the future price of bitcoins, but its good that we hold more bitcoins in our wallet, so even if the price is not too high it can take care of us.

btc will be > than 30k a coin, before 2030
Which is stupid....
but hey.

When your gov. can protect your labor and your work (money) ... you must take the measure to do this alone for your health and your family.

Bitcoin will be a perfect tool to do this against gov. and society alienation.

Or wait simply the next devaluation of the national money ... and you see what Bitcoin do at the right moment.

Save your work, job, hours of labor to retrieve money.

Yeah - I'd like to see that but I don't think we'll live to see 30.000 $ for one bitcoin.

I think 50 btc would be enough for me to have a good and lavish retired life, I am not sure whether that amount will be enough or not or it would be too much to hold, everything depends on the value of bitcoins after 20 years.

Bitcoin will survive for sure, but what would be the value, we are not sure about that, so its better we engage ourselves in earning bitcoins at a moment without thinking about the future price, if you hold good amount, it can be always profitable.

Yeah if it grows more then it will be a solid retirement. 50 bitcoins in $1000 dollar price would be good. If it is like that in 20 years. If it will rise more then your retirement will be more happier.  Grin

Yes, some people on forums are more sure than the people controlling and setting the prices for it.

50 bitcoins in $1000 dollar price would be good.
No where in the world a person can retire happily with only 50 grands. It requires a lot more than that for a basic livelihood.

This year the price could reach $1000 easily after halving and increase of block chain size. That is a easy target.

Envisioning Bitcoin as a modern and improved version of gold instead of the "i buy my everyday coffee with it"-currency, I think within 20 years, Bitcoin can possibly be worth 100k-500k.

Many have not yet realized that what we are currently witnessing is the meltdown of the current global financial system that has been developing on top of fraud and arbitrariness since the invention of trade many 1000 years ago. The system now is being handed from humans to code, replacing trust into centralized institutions with cryptographic algorithms.

Much less than 1% of the world population actually understands the implications behind Bitcoin.

There is lots of air unto the top and the ride has just started.

in my opinion $5.000 is more reasonable price for bitcoin after 20years, and better for you start earning and hold 50% of your earning at bitcoin as invest Wink

20 bitcoin too small to retire in 20 years. 20 bitcoin might be worth if bitcoin prices could touch $100,000 in 20 years.

It depends on where you live. If you live a simple life, $1 million is more than enough to live comfortably.

I think wherever you live $1 million was a very decent. but maybe if in asian, the value is more than enough.
