as anyone got Minera to work with MiningRigRentals. ?
i get pool corruption when cpuminer tries to connect, i tried on all 4 of their servers and still the same.
but that is the only place this happens, yet i have no problems with them with my gpu rigs.

Does anyone have a link to the source for this miner? We'll take a look. Thank you!

Hi, I'm the Minera' author, perhaps you should look at cpuminer-gc3355 that's the miner software used by Minera: https://github.com/siklon/cpuminer-gc3355

Please tell me if you need something.

Hey michelem

is there a way to monitor and restart the miner when a device goes down, i'm really having a hard time, i always have blade going down every few hours, and have to restart cpuminer to bring them back up.
it's not the hub, i've tried different hubs.

Try lowering the clock speed a bit worked for me on one fussy blade

There are some issues with the feature of dynamically selecting a pool. Basically I switched pools the other day, and I did it from the dashboard instead of changing the order in the pool in the settings and restarting.

The first issue was that I had to click the "Select This" button twice. The first time didn't seem to do anything. Or at least it didn't show any differences in the pool selection in the dashboard.

The second issue is that last night the pool that I dynamically selected must have had a connectivity problem. When I woke up this morning, the rig had switched back to the first pool in my settings, not the one that I had dynamically selected.

Already reported the first issue in the thread, I confirm it's really difficult to select a new pool.

The second issue... I don't think it's really an issue, I think it's the default behavior, and I find it better to be like this Smiley But it would be nice if we could opt for what we want.

The first one I have to reproduce that (Browser? Can you look at the cpuminer log when you click to see if something happens?)

The second one is simple, the problem is: I don't overwrite the settings when switching a pool from the dashboard, it's completely on-the-fly and not permanent, it just sends the command to cpuminer without saving anything. But of course, if you prefer and you think it's better I can easily add the save too.

For who asked /minera-latest-img-zip]Latest Minera image for RPi is here

(Or just click my signature and scroll down the page)

EDIT: As understood from the minerd code, the pool 0 (main pool) will be automatically switched back to if there is any connectivity issue with the dynamically switched pool. Can you check if there was any connectivity issue with the switched pool?

Did anyone tried mix with Gridseeds and Gawminers Fury?
Is it working?
I read through the post seems like Gridseeds + Blades not much problem.
Since now Gawminers offer 5x Fury with 1.2Mh/s per unit and price lower than Blade, i was thinking to get the x5 units Fury instead of 1 unit Blade.
I'd already 5 gridseeds running with Minera currently.

Thanks

Hi, michelem, I have a technical question for you.

Is this software proxying connections?

What kind of connections? BTW Minera won't proxy anything, but don't know if cpuminer-gc3355, that's the miner software Minera uses, does it. You should ask to the author.

I am speaking with pooler over PM, he is admin of litecoinpool.org and creator of cpuminer. He and I are trying to figure out why my miners are submitting shares every 300-600 seconds from my minera to his pool. He asked me if minera proxy's any connections at all.

So I cam here asking if minera is proxying any connections.

Minera is "only" a frontend to the real software which sends shares that's cpuminer-gc3355, and I don't know deeply how it works.

Minera 0.2.1 is out!

https://github.com/michelem09/minera

* Added custom altcoins rates (go to settings and choose your preferred ones, max 3)
* Added autorestart if there are X devices possible dead (go to settings and enable it, if X devices won't send shares for over than 10 minutes miner will be restarted)
* Added fixed Minera donation pool (Don't panic! This doesn't mean there is a Minera "fee", you can still add as many pools as you want and keep the minera's one for last)
* Removed url pool check when adding a new one (you can put any string you want as Pool url)
* Added system uptime
* only on fresh install - Added wicd-curses package to easily manage WiFi cards (if you wanna have it just run: sudo apt-get install wicd-curses)

Hope you like it!

If you have problems updating Minera you can always use the following commands in SSH (you should try the web update before this):

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
sudo git fetch --all
sudo git reset --hard origin/master
sudo ./upgrade_minera.sh

PS
I'm going to update the IMG file with this release in the next days.

I tried moving your fixed up to first spot and got these errors. Also, datatables error is more frequent now.

Edit:
I apologize, I am reverting back to my backed up image for now Sad. I can't do anything with pools settings.

Do you have an internet connection? That seems like Minera can't get the Altcoins API.

I'm getting the same issue with Altcoin and have an internet connection (submitting shares to pools just fine)

How did you update? Via web or by SSH?

This should fix it:

Code:
echo -n '["132","155","3"]' | redis-cli -x set dashboard_coin_rates

Everyone, if you are in trouble with this update (0.2.1) this should fix everything:

Code:
echo -n '["132","155","3"]' | redis-cli -x set dashboard_coin_rates
redis-cli del cryptsy_update

Remember to check power usage! The G-blade uses much less power, kinda of wish I got that instead of the Fury's. But with the Fury's you can buy a little at a time but using so much more power.
